My husband and I visited this lovely quaint restaurant in March for a 3 course lunch, which was an Anniversary present from our children. The starter, main, and dessert were very well presented, served hot,and tasted delicious. We were quite full,so we would probably have a 2 course lunch in future. The service was good, and we enjoyed our leisurely lunch, finishing with a coffee. The hotel and restaurant...

I ate lunch here twice in February and found both meals disappointing. My first starter was a blue cheese tart which was very salty. The main course I chose that time was baked cod. It was mediocre as were the vegetables. On my second visit I chose the melon starter which was much more enjoyable. My main course was chicken...

Hotel rooms are basic but have all essentials, always spotlessly clean and comfortable. WiFi works and TV has freeview. Restaurant serves delicious meals and very good portion sizes, albeit a little expensive. The food is excellent and the service similarly good.

We stayed one night as meeting friends for a surprise 50th birthday meal. A very friendly reception, quick check in and shown straight to our room, room 20. The room over looked the front carpark and front door but wasn't noisy. The decor was clean, we think newly painted, and the bed was comfortable although maybe a little soft for...

My wife and I stayed here as a premium Christmas night away from the children! We have stayed here once before and eaten here on many occasionally, and it was Excellent. (Again) The food is faultless. Silver service and always made to feel super special. Room 4 was a fantastic size, large bed, spotlessly clean. Nice bath with plenty of...

We stayed for two nights and loved the warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and couldn't have been more welcoming. Parts of the hotel are very old and I love that it isn't modern but has a really quirky feel but with comfy beds and a spotless en-suite. Breakfast was also very good.

Our children bought us a wine tasting tour of Sedlescombe Organic Vineyard with an overnight stay at The Brickwall hotel, we decided to extend our stay to 3 nights and explore some of the local attractions in East Sussex. The welcome at the hotel was warm and friendly and our room in the newer extension, was clean and comfortable, overlooking...

I travelled with my wife to the Brickwall Hotel which is situated in the charming village of Sedlescombe in East Sussex. Our room was #16 and it was clean and tidy and it was warm. We were booked in for Breakfast and Dinner and although we normally would choose steak we decided to go for the Turkey as it was...

This small family run hotel is a template for exactly what guests require in the hospitality sector. Without exception, the staff are polite, friendly and efficient. The quality of the food is excellent and a specific dietary requirement was met without difficulty. Our room was clean and comfortable. The reason for our visit to the area was a stressful one...
