Today four of us turned up hoping for a lunch exactly 5 minutes late for their 1430 deadline only to be told "you are too late". Kitchen closed! We asked if we could just have a sandwich again to be told "too late". Immediately after this two other potential diners arrived to be told the same. They walked out. We...

Popped in for lunch after a swim in the sea. I love this village and one of the reasons is this great pub. We had hot sandwiches I had a sausage and onion marmalade and my partner had the smoked cod both were succulent and delicious. Cheaper and much better value than the uninspiring sandwiches at the tea rooms down...

The Suffolk coast line is magical with its shingle beaches and large skies. The Bell Inn provides a perfect lunch venue with traditional Adnams ale, friendly service. This pub has an historic charm that sets it exactly in keeping with the area.

A well presented and perfectly positioned Inn. We called in by chance after a long walk, at an obviously popular and busy Sunday lunchtime. There were plenty of tables in the large tidy beer garden, with many families and thier dogs. The inside was appropriately well decorated, also full with groups, couples, families and again dogs. We were a party...

Popped in after walking round Walberswick. Big selection of Adnams beer on tap and bottles and a huge beer garden. Didn't eat but food menu looked interesting, prices were low and the staff friendly. Would happily come back for more drink or some food

After a bracing hour of crabbing we made our way to the local pub for a warming drink and light bite. We were really pleased to see that they welcome dogs in the pub as our Irish terrier was with us. However it was approaching lunch time and we had not anticipated how many other people would have the same...

Visited on a Wednesday lunchtime which was relatively quiet. We all ordered the steak pie which was tasty but so disappointed with the vegetables served. Small cereal bowl of chips served between two and four batons of carrot, three soggy courgettes and a floret of cauliflower. Gravy was the consistency of water. For £13 a head we expected much more....

Stayed here in April with our 9 year old and had a great time. The family room was very spacious and had a peaceful time ( note however that it overlooks the beer garden so maybe summer it is a little different). Pub is a higgledy piggledy series of rooms with wooden beams, open fire and olde worlde charm (...

Three of us visited from Lowestoft for an evening meal. Lovely friendly greeting, staff instantly made us feel welcome and relaxed. Food was to die for (Hot roast salmon king prawn and lobster sauce tagliatelle/ confit of duck in Cumberland sauce & a chargrilled chicken breast with salad and olives. Followed by a cheeseboard and great wine / Gin! Thankyou...

I've been coming here for years. Great pub, excellent pint of Adnams and consistently good food. Always a roaring fire. I will probably be coming here for more years to come. I am dropping a star though as although the food excellent, I thought it had dropped its standard a little. Whilst my vegetables were excellent my steak pie pastry...
