We have been visiting this place for the last 17 years and when the new people took it over some years ago (maybe 3, not sure) we felt they could not achieve or maintain the standard of the previous owners. Wrong! The place is a delight and the food is exceptionally well handled. Nothing over the top but you are...

Five for lunch on a Sunday at short notice. We were welcomed and made to feel at home. The beer was good and the food was excellent. The specials board had excellent choices and the main menu offered a wide choice. Definitely a go again pub

We've been to The Crown on several occasions and are always impressed by the choice and freshness of the food. The pub grows its own vegetables and raises its own chickens and goats, so you can guarantee that everything is home grow and hand reared. Lovely and unusual things include goat's cheese ice cream. Polite and friendly staff too.

Just completed a little job in Snape, family came over to give me a hand, on impulse decided to find somewhere for lunch. The Crown was near by, nice big car park which could take my van and trailer, lots of farm animals in the fields behind, which some end up on the menu, had a very nice meal, they...

We spent two nights here with our dog Huckleberry, and arrived with a degree of trepidation as he is a young dog, we were anxious no to disturb others with his over exuberant personality. We were met with such a welcome that we were immediately put at our ease. The staff were extremely professional and welcoming both with us and...

This was our first visit to Suffolk and having arrived on Saturday we attended the Food and Drink festival and in the evening had a relaxing pint in the Crown. Its a traditional country pub which welcomes dogs and offers typical pub grub at reasonable prices. We both chose the chicken Kiev which was delicious. Service is excellent and the...

Brought some friends this time and none of us were disappointed. The new menu is really good. Highlight is the beetroot tarte tatin with goat's cheese ice cream. And all the home- reared pork dishes are good too as usual. And the desserts. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented and good service too.

This is the first time we have visited and were not disappointed. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and a smile. The service was exceptional and although there were available tables they were busy also in the bar. This is the first time I had three courses and did not feel bloated afterwards..... I felt comfortable and there was...

The landlord was charming on the phone when we asked to have dinner at 5.30pm prior to going to a concert at Snape. We arrived and we were immediately shown to a cosy semi circular settle The staff are good, food sooooooo relish. The porky platter (from their own piggies) was divine and the fresh crab was fresh and full...
