Looking for a new tenant (again) and there's a reason for that! This pub needs turning into a house and selling off. Crap food, rubbish atmosphere... This is not a pub, it's a disaster but it has nice rooms at the back. See, I managed a positive.

Stayed at the Crown overnight. The pub was changing hands and new management had not arrived. Rooms dull and dark. Could hear person in next room snoring! Only divided by a connecting door. Pub not servibg any food except breakfast which was average. Help yourself to cereal, cook your own toast. Cooked breakfast was ok. Might improve with new management...

A warm welcome, cosy room, friendly service and excellent breakfast. Only negative, we were having trouble with the electrics in our chalet but the landlady bent over backwards to solve the problem. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.

There were 13 of us and 3 children who met up for our nieces birthday lunch. The pub had a nice feeling and we were greated warmly. Throughout the staff worked extremely hard . The food .... Was delicious!!! Starters were well laid out and tempting , the roast was one of the best ... Large plate full of tender...

Ok so first the good bit. On arrival staff were very friendly and the pub was nice. The room we was allocated was nice and bigger than we expected. The shower was great. That's the good bit. Food was I thought over priced and most of it seamed to come out the freezer then in the deep fat fryer. Breakfast...

Great welcome & friendliness, lovely old beams & gentle décor in the room, filling breakfast. Will definitely put this on top of our list of places to stay whenever we visit our son in the future. There is great support locally and it works both ways: their dining room is an art gallery for local talent. Thank you & good...

The room was really comfortable, warm and very clean. We had dinner in the restaurant, my husband had a burger that was the largest burger I had ever seen and he said the quality of the meat was excellent, I had beef and ale pie with a lovely assortment of fresh vegetables all at a reasonable price. The full English...

Amazing!!! Thank you for such a great evening. To cater for 24 of us and execute the timing of each course was fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful and polite and offered impeccable service, surrounded in a warm friendly environment. The cuisine was bursting with flavours throughout each course, especially the baked sea trout with dauphinoise potatoes and winter greens...

Just had the best roast out in ages. Huge portion of beef, with a massive lush chunk of crackling. And extra gravy. Proper roast potatoes. Much better than staying in for a cheese and onion sandwich ;)

“Rose is the prettiest with steps up to the bedroom and beamed roof. Hollyhock has grab rails and is ramped. The bath has rails but is still a bath. Columbine and Clematis have a linking door which can be unlocked for families. These rooms have showers, no bath. All the rooms are huge! Large bathrooms Dogs can stay in Clematis Hope that helps?!”
