We stayed here for 3 nights to visit family and for sight-seeing. The rooms are in serious need of refurbishment but were clean and bedding and towels were clean and fresh. We were allocated Room 8 as being quiet but had problems with uncomfortable mattresses and items missing from the room. Initially management was very defensive when this was brought... More

The hotel was a bit dated in decor, but the staff were very friendly and we had a very pleasant stay. We ate in the restaurant, and also went to the White Hart for a truly lovely meal. Best to book the White Hart as it was very popular, and we were lucky to get a table outside.

My son and I stayed one night prior to a meeting. We had an enjoyable evening in the bar with good food and a choice of real ales in addition to the normal offerings. Our room was spotless and although modest in size, had all we required and was very comfortable. The staff/proprietors were helpful and attentive giving a warm... More

The room was immaculate the service in the bar and the food area was excellent, the staff was attentive and looked happy in what they were doing. Also I asked for a route map to get to the coast and it arrived 10 minutes later. I would go there again.

The foods is fabulous, the bar lovely and inviting and the staff are just great. You are made to feel as if you are an old friend and not a visitor. During my last... More
