I stayed here for two nights for the Rugby World Cup, the woman who checked me in was called Janet. Upon checking in Janet told me she was doing the owner a favour by working and I tried to make casual conversation with her. She took me to my room and when I mentioned I was in Newcastle for the...

We stayed for four nights during a family/sightseeing trip to Tyne and Wear. It is centrally placed for many of the attractions in the area and there is good public transport available close by the guest house. This is honest budget accommodation - simple and slightly dated, but offering clean and comfortable facilities and Janet's (the treasure who looked after...

Stayed here for a week this month as we couldn't get into a chain hotel, biggest mistake of my life. The sheets are stained, rooms are all tiny with single beds. The house is close to a busy road with constant heavy goods traffic. The housekeeper/breakfast maker was the rudest person I've ever met in the service industry and I...

The old manse offers clean , basic accommodation and I mean basic. No soap, no shampoo, two teabags per day, two coffees per day and no biscuits. Breakfast is available at extra cost if required. Cash only is the policy and you are required to pay the full amount on arrival, without seeing the room. The room itself was clean...

We stayed here for two nights in August, whilst in the area for a wedding. We were greeted by a nice person on arrival. My husband had booked the room and not realised it was a shared bathroom, however I think on realising he hadn't realised and I didn't know about it, she kindly out us in a room with...

The Guest House is clean & very comfortable, lovely & warm. We had everything we needed in the room & had a very pleasant stay. Janet made us very welcome, she took the time to sit & have a chat with us each morning which we thought was lovely. The breakfast was plentiful & well presented. Recommendations were made as...
