Had a junior suite and were met by a complimentary bowl of fruit and a bottle of wine which was nice. Great view! But the room was quite average itself with no extra stuff. There was a coffee capsule machine with only three capsules. One decaf, one espresso and one ordinary coffee. We asked the Reception for more and actually...

Dear Siv, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are delighted you liked the view from your room and the complimentary fruit and wine. We apologize you were disappointed with your room and the condition of your bathroom, as well as the number of provided coffee capsules. We appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention...

This hotel is ideally suited for touring Longyearbyen and surrounds. The company organising most of the activities also owns the hotel and it all works seamlessly. Both the restaurant and the bar serve delicious food and the locally brewed beer is excellent. Staff are warm and friendly and provide great service. The rooms are warm and a reasonable size, especially...

Why do we felt we were disturbing the staff when checking in, when asking a question or ordering something to drink? Maybe because they hardly bothered to attend? I'm Norwegian and thought 'is this what we should present visitors from other countries as Norwegian - will this negatively impact the wonderful Svalbard?' The one exception was our waitress Dagmar, she...

Great breakfast with spectacular view (when the weather is good). The hotel is otherwise average. The room was clean and nice. The staff was ok. The hotel is centrally located like most hotels in Longyearbyen. Similar to other hotels in the city they give you an arctic touch, but it did not reach into my heart.

Radisson Blu Polar was the ideal hotel for us to use before our sailing around Svalbard trip. Great location and facilities. Loved the hot soup & bread in the bar when we came back from a walk around Longyearbyen. Would definitely stay there again!

Stayed at this Radisson "Blu" hotel for two nights in February and it is mixed bag. While it may be one of the few hotels in Svalbard, Carlson-Rezidor must be desperate when they allow this quality level hotels into the Blu brand. The location is good for the village and within walking distance to the grocery store and the small...

We (couple, almost 50) stayed 4 nights in one of the Junior suites at the Radisson Blu and were entirely happy. (One minor detail: We had no use for our room's nespresso machine and would have preferred a kettle; however, the hotel lets you fill your own thermos with boiling water at the breakfast buffet (which is huge and offers...

At this Hotel you pay for location, this is a very standard Hotel that offers you almost no feeling of something special. The interior is quite boring, but i was there around Christmas and i gave me a very Christmassy feeling. When paying over 200Euros a night for a minimum you want something more than a basic Hotel, you want...

Comfortable room, great breakfast and able to see the northern light from the window. What else? Ah, yes! Cozy atmosphere, great attention and warm. The bar also has excelent food & drinks, and there are common spaces to just relax.

I recently (Jan 2017) stayed here for 5 nights instead of 4 as our flights were cancelled due to poor weather, the hotel staff jumped into action rebooking us back into our original rooms and providing us with a 2 course dinner, very friendly and extremely helpful.
