We had a suite which was compact but very clean and warm and welcoming. Nice views from the hotel with a good standard breakfast. Good place to stop over before leaving on a cruise. The staff is friendly. It is a short walk down hill to the town but take a taxi back.

Have stayed here twice in March 15 and June 16 whilst taking short breaks. An old hotel with original features, Reasonable breakfast, ok bar and clean comfortable rooms. It might be 1 km from the main LYB drag but is a good hotel well worth it...

On the positive side, rooms are spacious with good view of the mountain. One should insist on having room on either 2nd or 3rd floor so that you get to see the early morning snowfall. The quality of food and the variety in buffet breakfast is good for vegetarians. The only negative point is that its located around 1 km...

Service was bad, dinner is expensive and not at the standard you would expect in a restaurant. Breakfast is no better, we came to breakfast at nine, and the warm food was cold. And when it was empty, the staff did not want to make more. its not kept at a warm plate. You have to leave your shoes by the...

This hotel has some nice public sitting rooms, fine breakfast buffet wth many options, rooms are Scandinavian simple but warm, quiet , clean. Heated towel rack in bathroom, no amenities beyond liquid soap dispenser. All hotels here are a bit Spartan this way. You take shoes off on entering. Nice staffs. Not blackout curtains, bring mask in summer for sleep....

Very good- a place with personality. Very good restaurant. Best hotel in Longyearbyen-and probably the whole island! I feel I have said enough- but since I have to write 200 characters I continue: Near Svalbardhallen- ideal if you participate in the Svalbard Ski Marathon! 15 min to walk to downtown.

Here you can still experience how luxury hotels once were: library with a large fireplace, a lounge with deep leather sofas and chairs, a first class dining room with wine cellar. It exudes the history of the building, which was once the living quarters and a club for the mining company executives. It's in a quiet location 10 minutes walk...

Staying four nights at this hotel during the fantastic days when the midnight sun came back. Rooms are OK, staff and service is good, but not excellent. The difference between good and excellent is in the way you are being met, the total friendliness of the staff, etc. Maybe it is lack of experience? The food at the restaurant is...

Surely, cancelation policies are created for a reason, but demanding a full repay for all the room when the was a 4 hour difference before the booking and cancelation, saying they now have lost a chance to sell it to someone else is not a good way to tread people. Off course the have the power over guests because there...
