We stayed here for a week in August, as a family of four.
The rooms are basic but clean and the hotel staff are incredibly friendly. Snacks are served from the pool bar daily at reasonable prices, and drinks in the evening are a must!...More
Perfectly situated, right in the middle of the old villages and the more touristy bit. Very clean. Staff are amazing, very welcoming. Perfect for families, couples or to come alone. Would definitely come again.
Over all the hotel is very basic, but what it lacks in stylishness it makes up for in amazing staff.
You very much get what you pay for. The rooms are clean but basic. You have to pay extra for aircon (€7 a day)....More
We managed to arrange a week off work. Where better to go than our favourite place, Crete! And our favourite apartments, Mareva Hersonissos.

Hello. Sorry for delay, a sandy beach is a nice 15 min stroll. This is the harbour end. The nearest 'sea' is literally behind the shops road. Beware the sea is choppy & rocky (wear shoes/trainers). There wasn't a half board at these apt. He may be doing it now but I've only seen s/c. And there was no buffet when I was there.
A lovely rep comes to the hotel you can buy from- but all the shops in the main drag do excursions (much cheaper) ; pirate ship day (out all day on the sea, fellas dressed as pirates, BBQ on board, jumping off the boat to shore & time on an island then back again) it won't run When sea choppy! Evening out at Greek dancing- (go in a coach) highly recommended 6pm- midnight. Buffet style & unlimited wine -kids get soft drink tokens, star beach- end of shops road. Amazing (google it) free entrance. Sun loungers €3 all day. €8 pp for water rides all day, take butties & water tho as can get expensive . A friend went on the aqua park trip €80. But not impressed. Cheaper to go to Star beach a few times. Enjoy xx
