Great location- 2mins to the sea. Windows are facing the backyard so you dnt hear any disco music from the streets. We enjoyed that it is a small and quite hotel. Staff is very friendly and carrying. We were amazed how often they change bedsheets: over 10 days they did it like 4-5 times and also let us do a later check out. Very grateful for that. When next time in Chersonissos- definitely gonna stay here again!
Liked this hotel a lot. Stayed there for 10 days in the double room with 2 separate beds. The location is fantastic, in the center of the city, but kind of hidden, no traffic noise at all. Super close to the good beach (3-5 min by foot). Also the owner is super kind! We asked to make us our own tea every day and no problem) the service is good, they changed towels and sheets unexpectedly often. The view from the balcony is ok too. The price is good, highly recommended!
Nice and cozy hotel. Excellent stuff and service.Convenient location close to the city centre.Peaceful and friendly environment with delicious food.Friendly to kids.Modern rooms with great view and a nice environment to chill by the pool
I would not recommend this hotel. The personnel is unfriendly, the food is boring, the same every day. The bathroom is really really small. I think there are much much better hotels in Hersonnisos with this price.
Our suit oversees the main road and it was noisy. The parking is across the road. The staff can not be named friedly and eager to help - less contacts with tourists - the better which is dramatically different from the rest of the near places and make such a huge difference. The suit was cleaned everyday, towels and lenin changed as promissed. No extra pillows. No blinds on the windows and street lights prevent you from good sleep. No cutlery in the suit - only plastic glasses. No possibility to dry closes but on the garden furniture that is on the balcony overseeing the main road. Almost all of the guests are from Russia. The place is in the vety centre of the town. The beach is 1 kn walk at least. Easy to get by car or bus anywhere on the island. I presume the price us very modest but there might be better options. …
I would not recommend this hotel. It was loud 24/7. The walls are super thin, you can hear people having sex, drunk women laughing and late night swimmers. The house keeper would take tips and NOT clean. I had to stop tipping, she refused to tip. She does NOT listen to the "do not disturb" note. Nor does she do anything except keep the door closes of you ask her too. Mosquitos get into the rooms easily when she leaves the balcony door open... and if you're on the bottom floor, anyone can come in and steal your stuff. Speaking of... the house maid went through my belongings that were not locked up. Funny how the drawers were half-way opened. I always close my drawers. I'm OCD about it. She never mopped or swept. I even left notes for her to bring clean towels and keep the doors closed. I wrote the notes i English AND in Greek. She listened 2 of the 14 days I was there. If I could have been refunded my money, I would have left ASAP. The AC is on a sensor timer. It shuts off after 30 minutes of no activity. Expect to be sweaty during the really hot nights. Warning too: there is BLACK MOLD in the shower and all over the bathroom walls. The shower is also small 2ft x 2ft. Not enough room to clean yourself properly or to shave (ladies). The only time she cleaned was when I returned to my room early one day and found her there. Funny how that works. Yet still she never made the bed. The only good things were: the girl at the front desk, Stefan from the bar and the food at the restaurant was really good, but they allow smokers. It is also super close to the beach, touristy shops and hundreds of restaurants. If you don't mind the crappy clean job and partying 24/7- go for it. FYI. I asked one of the staff members. The loud noises 24/7 that sounded like furniture moving and a construction site were from the guests. This hotel is NOT under construction or under renovations.…
I am not someone who normally complains; it takes a lot to get under my skin. Blue Island Hotel was able to get under my skin fairly quickly though. The positive: The staff. Most of them were beyond nice and did everything possible to correct whatever was wrong in my room. The location was also a good thing - right in the thick of the busy town. The beach and all its restaurants were a few minutes away by foot and all the shops were right along the street the hotel was located at. The negative: The size of the shower. Being a thin person, it was hard for me to entirely fit and take a proper shower. Sure, it's something anyone can get used too and adjust accordingly, even if it does become an inconvenience. The worse though is the fact that you might find yourself showering with cold water. My girlfriend and I stayed in Crete for 2 weeks, and in that entire time 9 of those days we had no hot water. Another negative towards this hotel is the fact that the cleaning crew didn't really clean. The minimum they would do was empty out the bathroom trash bin containing all the soiled toilet paper (for those who do not know, you cannot flush toilet paper in the toilet, you have to thrown them out in the little bin in the bathroom). Sometimes the bed would be made, other times it wouldn't; sometimes the room would be swept and mopped, other times it wouldn't. It was a hit and miss. The worse for me though was the fact that the cleaning lady had the habit of leaving the balcony doors open (I'm guessing so as to air out the room). If you're staying in the first floor it is easy for anyone to come in through the balcony and ransack your room. Daily my girlfriend tried leaving notes with a tip (1 euro) telling the cleaning person to close the balcony doors after cleaning our room. Most of the time the request would be ignored and the money taken anyway. We tried bringing this issue up at the front desk but nothing changed. My advice, look for another hotel to stay in. For a few more dollars I'm guessing you can find a hotel where you don't have to worry whether you'll be taking a cold shower after being out in the heat all day, and don't have to stress whether someone has taken your belongings because of the balcony doors being left open.…
Interesting about this hotel is: if you google this hotel you'll see that it's sometimes rated with 3 stars and sometimes with 2 stars. Based on my stay in this hotel for 9 days I can confirm that this hotel is definitely not a 3 stars hotel, I'd say not even 2 stars. The room and the shower are very small, the furniture is very old, the curtain was dirty, etc. the hotel needs new and clean furniture and a good cleaning staff. what I never understood is the cleaning staff who came every day into the room but did not clean everything. Sometimes I still had rubbish on the balcony and the ground was still dirty. The walls were so thin that I could here my neighbors even talking. It's also not for people who look for relaxing (calm) holidays. The breakfast was poor as well, which should last from 7:30 to 9:45. The eggs for example came sometimes at 8:00, 8:30 or never! With some luck you could get an egg in the morning! As I once asked about the eggs the staff was so angry and rude, as if I would eat for free and not have paid for my stay! The staff does not have the clue how to treat a customer. Here's the guest is not important, only the profit. You won't feel welcome. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location, especially for young people who want to party and have some action. As the main guests are Russians I'd say this hotel suits to young Russians, who wants to party, have some fun and meet other Russians in the hotel. The hotel definitely does not suit west European and their standards.…
Firstly, I'm usually not a bellyache person but this hotel is totally overrated for the price we paid. We booked it with breakfast. Two kind of white bread, no Greek yogurt and terrible coffee. Better to book just the hotel with no food. The island has so many good restaurants for lunch and breakfast. Moreover, the hotel is dominated by Russian tourists. For those who like or be Russians itself it could be OK but for all the others... The AIR CONDITION is a mystery. Here's my manual for it. 1. You need to have the balcony door fully closed. There is some kind of contact on the upper part of the door. 2. It has some kind of an inbuilt timer you cant turn off, but kind of a motions sensor that reactivates it. Unfortunately, the sensor cant see you, as the air con is above the door. But for those of you who have a weak bladder, this wont bother you. The shower is pretty small and starts to go mouldy and it doesn't really have a showerhead. In conclusion, the hotel isn't a 3-star hotel, in total its okey but not as good as its rating on here.…
This hotel made us laugh! we expected a kettle in the room, air conditioning that worked, a huge pool and Greek yoghurt and fruit for breakfast. we got none of these-although we finally sorted out the problem with the air-conditioning half way through the week (they had turned it off at the fuse box!) the day before the shower broke! However, we loved it. the staff were friendly, keen to help and make you feel welcome, and for the first part of the week when we were virtually the only guests, they fitted breakfast around us - within reason! The shower was botched up to work as soon as we complained, the fridge in the room was invaluable, the lady who tidied our room and changed our towels was so keen to please, and the bar men were good looking, friendly, and generous with the shots! What more could you want?! Even the hotel pool was perfect as we pretty much had it to ourselves. the manager and most staff were great not only at speaking English, and of course, greek, but at least one other language as well, and all, especially the manager, were friendly and intelligent. Stefan and Edi, the night barmen were kind and generous with their welcome, and even our two 12 year old daughters we given mocktails and mock shots for free so they did not feel left out!…
