This is my experience from August 2022. This is the first time I have expressed my opinion about a hotel because there are different places, better and worse, so I try to be understanding, but this hotel is a joke that it says it is 4 stars, I think these stars are from heaven. I spent 2 weeks there, unfortunately, we chose this place with my husband for our honeymoon, it was a huge mistake. We chose the all-inclusive option, which was a joke, a 4-star hotel, the cost of all-inclusive was really high, and what happened to us was a nightmare. How can you offer yourself an all-inclusive hotel, as a 4-star hotel it offers people that crap food that is worse than some for animals. Literally, the breakfasts looked dirty and ugly every day the same, fried eggs, fried onion, old small sausages, toast with stinky cheese on it, the only positive in breakfast is freshly baked croissants. An all-inclusive lunch and dinner at this 4-star hotel are, 8 trays with warm food, plus a 'salad bar' which was often a mixture leftover from breakfast, i.e. boiled eggs, carrots, sausages, mixed with mayonnaise as a ‘’salad’’. for a 4-star hotel all-inclusive what as a guest, you can find to eat? 8 trays with among others, white plain rice, plain pasta, potatoes that were not even potatoes, only powder with water pretending to be mashed potato, the rest are vegetables, and a bowl of meat (often the only choices were frozen hamburger chops) and fish (often dry, frozen fish fingers) and that's it. At dinner there is ‘’life cooking’ which is a joke, often cook pretends to cook some food, which is mixing in a dirty stinky pan some pasta with vegetables, or some other food. the first time we met with such a poor all-inclusive, being in 2 and 3-star hotels we ate better food. it was all-inclusive at the lowest cost. What was not eaten from breakfast was brought to the bar as a snack, a disgusting thing to force people to eat anything, just to avoid waste, like pigs. For snack, there is no chips, no fresh food, only leftover from breakfast, like stinky eggs, or other stuff. What you can find in a snack bar? they serve for example fried onions with cabbage that nobody I didn't eat for breakfast, something terrible. the ice cream cooler was terribly dirty and scared you to move anything and eat it without being discouraged. Now there is a swimming pool, yes, there are several swimming pools, but during my entire 2-week stay, not one had filtered water, or not to mention cleaning sunbeds or garbage, all of them were lying all the time, the terrible stench from the water. whose water in the children's pool is green and blue, I emphasize for children? (visible in the photos). Shame for landlords who earn money at a low cost. For the first time I have encountered that in a 4-star hotel, guests were expected to clean the tables after themselves, what do you pay big money for? Reusable plastic cups in 4 star hotel is a joke. all of them are dirty with traces of lipstick so they do not even clean properly. The plates are also dirty, small, and each has a different shape, some of them was realy dirty and this was really disgusting. Alcohols are a mistake, a mix of syrups , nothing else, no choice. Even a bottle of water has to be paid for, being all-inclusive, it's a real mockery. The remaining drinks are the cheapest mix of something pretending to be popular drinks, disgusting. The worst was the feeling of inferiority, if you do not speak French, do not count on any participation in the entertainment, as is all in French, aimed only at guests from France, I thought that the international language was English, even the children's mini disco was only in French, for the first time I have met with something like that. The football field is so neglected,so as parent you can honestly feel fear for your child's life, the goal was literally broken and really not attached so it could fall over for a child at any moment. do not go there for all-inclusive as is waste of your money…
Just came back from our second stay in Sunshine Village. At first visit we had excellent vacations was through booking. For our second time, we had a discount for booking directly with the hotel. We where really hesitant due to the bad reviews. To our surprise we had an great holidays. Our room had a magnificent view of the sea! Here we met very cool and positive guys and spent our time very funny. We are really like the beach near of the hotel. Every day we were swimming, went to nightclubs. The restaurant has home cuisine, everything was fresh and delicious! I liked chicken, dolmades, moussaka, ice cream, fresh fruits. The croissants and bread was freshly baked. The staff is friendly and always helpful. Daily cleaning, towels and linen changed after two days. The pools are clean. Alcohol is normal, great variety. There is a free shuttle bus service from the hotel to the road opposite of the beach five times a day. We can recommend Sunshine hotel for those who wants to be close to night life and good beaches in a quiet location and who are ready to climb to hill. Thank you everybody for the great time we had! Hopefully, we will come back next year!…
A great place for relaxing and getting to know the island of Crete, as the sea, shops, car rental and tourist shops are nearby. Very welcoming management and employees. The food is varied and tasty. I recommend it for a peaceful vacation.
Wonderful place, greek atmosphere and friendly people especially Katarina. Very close to beach and city centre. Good food. I recommend for those who want to have calm and good vacation. Rooms are big and clean. Swimming pool next to the bar.
We spent wonderful week in Seaside Sunshine Wing. It’s one of the best places I’ve ever been. Big, clean rooms, really Greek atmosphere, very close to the sea and wonderful villages around. And first off all very kind service. People are smiling, asking guests if everything is ok and Katerina who is treating us like mother. Lovely person who gives us enjoyable staying. We love you and thank you for everything! I recommend this place to everyone. I have dream vacations! ❤️
I been in Sunshine hotel for 2 weeks and I must say that I like my holidays. The first: food is great, it tasty, it so many options, oh my god. My room number: super, clean. Personal is great and so much more..
Hi! My friend and I are now resting in a hotel away from noisy Athens. We are enthusiastic about Crete. We got a nice sea view room. Cool pool, bar and restaurant with local drinks and Cretan cuisine.
Nice quiet hotel, friendly staff and guests. I looked for a perfect sunset view and prefer swimming in pool. I found it here. We got a modern room with sea view and "tropical rain" shower. In restaurant was a surprise for me - a fresh seafood and traditional greek sweet koutaifi.
i arrived in the hotel late afternoon and met ( if i remembered well) yasmina at the reception, verry helpfull, kind, charming person with more over excellent french talking (finally someone who can speak french!) who took the time to tell us about the hotel, area and even left her desk to show us the way to our room. as from that moment it was really home sweet home because you not just a customer no they remember you as an individual ( for exemple when i came back form my many discovering walks) or your preference at the bar, exc many french speaking staff also >> it is quiet rare here in the area) location: ( i like to walk and discover and for this the hotel is ideal => it is a bit out off the city of chersonisson BUT near everything you need ( party location, supermarkt SPAR, bus lines, authentic villages behind chersonissos...) and nice and no noise at night or nearly during the day food: ok it is not french cuisine standarts but hey we are in crete and i enjoyed the diversity and local food during my stay and if i wanted more specifique well the surrounding villages ( koutouloufari, piskopiano, old chersonissos wast just arround the corner) So in a couple of words => great receptionist, ideal for french people, isolated but also near everything you need…
The hotel fully meets our expectations. We spent here beautiful 7 days. Good food, friendly staff. Great location for holiday with children. The hotel is located on a hill and thanks to this we loved the views directly to the sea.
