We stayed at Palmera Hotel & Spa in Crete for 2 weeks over Christmas and the New Year 2022/2023. Even though we were made to understand it was their off peak season, we had a great time. The staff were attentive and any requests we had were promptly attended. They also have a great Spa with relaxing massages we got from Niko. The Manager Helena is most helpful and delightful as is the head Chef Chris, bar staff such as Ali, Veronica, Irena and Megi and front desk staff like Aris and Alex. It’s a lovely clean hotel, wonderfully situated to enjoy beautiful sea views and good connections in and around Crete. We stayed in the Deluxe Sea View Suite with Jacuzzi which was amazing. The balcony is huge and we were greeted with stunning views every morning. The Jacuzzi, although slow to warm up on occasion, was cozy and displayed different mood lighting. I had lovely holidays. I relaxed and had lots of sun. The weather was amazing for November. I met very interesting people and went around. Crete is beautiful all year long. I recommend this hotel to everyone and I will definitely come back again next year

One of the most beautiful hotels we have ever visited. Nice food, staff and rooms.The reason this hotel has all this good reviews and the reason people coming back is because of one member. DIMITRA. This woman upgrades the hotel in the highest level. She is the title in the hotel and she made our day in the morning -while was so busy in the restaurant- she was keeping smiling & in the evenings always finding time for us. A PEARL in this hotel. We couldn’t wait to not mentioning this, everyone needs to know her. Manager Helen is stunning too. I believe with Dimitra they always make time to speak to you and you laugh a lot with them both -in the most perfect way you can imagine-. Ali was making the best crepes. The whole hotel is excellent, but I have to highlight the staff of the whole hotel! The restaurant staff is the best we have ever had. The food was excellent, there was always a large selection. I recommend to everyone who wants to visit Crete!

Very good location. I was bed and breakfast only which suited me as I like to roam around eating out. 10 day stay first 2 nights in a sea view room which was a nice although compact room then moved to the side road to an older decor larger room on a side block. Unsure why had to move which was a bit of a nuisance as I did not then empty all of my case initially as knew I would have to repack. Maybe the way the travel agent made the booking? Very nice hotel and staff so highly recommend and if transfer is by coach you will be dropped off on the main drag/road then have to walk for a few minutes down a side road to the actual beach front road where the hotel is located. Small pool but large garden area with sun beds works well and beach/sea only 30 seconds away. Safe cost about 2 euro a day extra. One downside as not used to it being from the uk (but not a criticism of the hotel ) is the amount of indoor smoking in bars etc. in the resort. Real pity it could not be confined to outside areas.…

We are back from a wonderful holidays at Palmera Beach Hotel😍 We had the deluxe suite with indoor jacuzzi and hamam! Was amazing! The room and the whole hotel is very clean. The hotel is located in front of the see…beautiful! And just a street away from all the shops/restaurants. The staff is wonderful! Always smiling, very friendly and always wiling to have a talk. The food was also delicious, many choice and very tasty! Well all in all this is a wonderful hotel! Don’t hesitate to book!! We will come back, for sure!! Thank you!☀️😘

Room was lovely. Sea view, comfortable beds and great shower. Cleaned and towels changed daily. Reception and dining room staff were mainly friendly and helpful. The one exception to this was the unpleasant and rude Sofia who worked in the main bar most evenings. She seemed to dislike those of us who were on an all inclusive rate!! We’d chosen to go all inclusive as it was such good value for money. We dined out most lunchtimes and three of the seven evenings. The nights we dined at the hotel we found the food pretty average but ok. It felt a bit like a canteen. It was always incredibly busy and noisy and finding a table some evenings was difficult. The hotel seems attracts large groups of travellers which made for a very noisy bar and dining room. Unfortunately, the hotel does not enforce the no smoking indoors law. There were many people smoking in the bar most evenings making for a very unpleasant atmosphere for non smokers. This alone would be reason enough not to return! Overall we had a good week and I would have given a 3.5 rating if I could.…
