Set on a hillside, the Imperial Belvedere Resort Hotel has one of the best locations in Hersonissos, with the beach just a few meters away, and shops, bars and restaurants within easy reach. First off, it's a large Premier Families complex, so it's great for a hotel-based break, especially with its six swimming outdoor pools. Activities, shows and a full entertainment programme add an up-tempo vibe. While the kids' club and mini-disco will keep things buzzing for little ones. The well run Imperial Belvedere Resort Hotel is suitable for families and couples who appreciate a friendly atmosphere in an idyllic location.

What I have to say? I enjoyed every single moment spent inside the Belvedere Hotels. The place is ideally located because it's close enough to the youth area, so at night you can easily move to the clubs, but it's also far enough away for anyone to relax without having to hear the loud music. The all inclusive experience is great. Thera are various bars from which you can cool off with various sodas and drinks throughout the day. For lunch and dinner, on the other hand, there is a rich buffet with many good quality dishes. The thing I liked the most is definitely the animation team. They are very funny guys who organize various activities and very nice minigames every day. My friend and I have spent a lot of time with the animation guys and I must say that they are really great people who know how to do their job well! We had so much fun with them! After all, it was a great experience. I highly recommend it to anyone!

The food is really limited selection and very poor quality. It’s everything that gave all inclusive holidays a bad name in the 1990s. Every mealtime is predominantly the same with maybe 1 or 2 of the 10 dishes changed. We ended up eating out every night after the first 2 nights as even the kids were complaining about the limited selection and lunch and dinner being the same. Communal areas are generally dirty, often with overflowing bins, ashtrays and stains from spilled drinks and food on the floor. I have seen the pool areas half heartedly cleaned most mornings with the staff throwing old drinks from the day before on the floor, then hosing them into the pool. Empty ‘glasses’ hosed under the sun beds so staff don’t need to pick them up. You aren’t meant to reserve sun beds but of course everyone does and to get beds for our family together I have had to come down before 6am - which the staff are happy to hose down when they clean so your towels and anything else left here are soaked. The pool areas are crammed with sun beds to try and get enough beds for everyone. The hotel feels like it has been extended a couple of times and the communal facilities are now not big enough for the number of rooms / guests. Consequently you are on top of each other and we saw lots of incidents of people shouting and arguing as they moved beds to try and get in shade / out of shade / spilled other parties drinks. Very few of the staff seem happy and keen to give you a good holiday. Customer service is downright poor. Most appear grumpy, unhappy and the odd one even downright rude on occasion. I complained about the selection and quality of the food to the buffet ‘manager’ who told me everyone else was happy with it but several other Brit’s I spoke with were also hugely disappointed with it. This eventually led to a meeting with the hotel manager Mr Pantolonis. He failed to turn up to 2 appointments his team made which I think speaks volumes about the hotels attitude to its guests. Final icing on the cake was after being told we had a late check out we then got told the room was needed for other guests. From my experience here, If you are looking at this hotel I’d suggest keep looking and find somewhere else. We have been out and about and found some great beaches and beautiful areas of Crete near to the hotel and will probably come back to Crete. There is just no chance at all we would come back to this hotel.

I and my friends went on holiday for one week, and all of us came home with good memories. The place is quite big, and after a look around we immediately felt like we were at home. The snack-bar near the main pool was the best place to relax. A big applause to the animation team. They are a beautiful group of people that offer you mini-games, activities, show and more. Definitely a place I would like to return to!

Reception: Depends which staff member you get. They are rude, not informative at all and be prepared to ask everything. Customer Service is rubbish. Room: Superior family room on imperial side. These are a 5 minute walk from pools, bars etc but that didn't bother us as we like the peace and quiet. Outside our balcony there was a large terrace that had sun loungers, chairs and day beds. The beds were comfy and we all slept well. The shower pressure was amazing although we had to place a towel next to the shower screen and other side of the bathroom door as it leaked. The downside is that our room wasn't fully clean when we arrived. There was sand on the childrens bedside table and all over the balcony from previous guests. There was thick dust and dead spider on shelving where tea/coffee facilities were. This was never cleaned for our whole stay. Oh and depending if you tip the maids as to how much water/ milk you get in your room! I'm not sure if the hotel is short staffed or not. Some days I saw 5/6 maids aroubd our room, others only 3. Pools: Never once did we get sunbeds around the pools. We opted for the terraces located to the left of the Olympic and children's pool. More space to move sunbeds and you don't feel on top of other guests. I only observed the pool by the imperial restaurant being cleaned with actual pool equipment once. There was a man throwing salt into the other pools. The childrens pool and the pool next to it were dirty during our stay. My husband had to rescue 3 children, on separate occasions due to them getting into difficulty in the deep pools and no carer with them. I noticed the lifeguards take regular breaks, have thier phones in thier hands most of the time and are not present at some pools! Bars: my advice would be to head to the Royal reception bar. The staff there are very friendly, smiling and remember your drink. The young girl in evening bar next to the childrens pool was informative about the all inclusive drinks. The wine is undrinkable. The beer and other spirits are low or no alcohol! We went out the hotel on a couple of evenings, heading to the beach front bars and they were fantastic and modern. Restaurant: We managed to find something to eat every night but they were odd combinations at times. The breakfast is best with the omlettes, waffles, pancakes. But it is repetitive food. A concern for me was that I observed a staff member making fresh pizzas in the restaurant and he was secretly vaping, not washing his hands and continued to make pizzas. Snack Bars: the snack bar near the childrens pool was OK, repetitive but I noticed multiple guests use toilets and not wash thier hands and then proceed to this bar. The snack bar near the Olympic pool had gyros and pizza both had huge queues. I wait an hour to get gyros for my family of 4 and when I got to the counter I got a tut. There is a female staff member here who barged me twice, didn't say sorry and proceeded to shout at others for being wet yet on observing here for the remainder of my holiday, she never said anything to others who were not English speaking. A concern here was that I observed a staff member wear gloves to handle raw chicken to place on the grill and then handled cooked fries creating cross contamination! Entertainment: the aminmation team worked hard and they tried to engage as many people as possible around the olympic pool only. The evening entertainment is for under 10s only. Its kids disco and no proper outsourced entertainment at all. This really made our evenings boring and we ended up playing cards and pool. There is a real mix of guests. Some families, couples and groups of young people. I was told the resort is a party town. I know some families had issues with noise complaints as I'd overheard this at reception desk. All in all, we made the best of our holiday. It's not what we have been accustomed to and have had far better holidays for less in UK, Spain, Cyprus, Italy, France and other Greek Islands. We wouldn't return to this hotel and both my teens did ask to leave on day 3 followed by my husband on day 4. The chain smoking of other guests really spoilt things. It was constant in first 4 days. whilst we ate, whilst laid on sun loungers, around kids pools. This appeared to ease on day 5 and I noticed an influx of French speaking guests which changed the atmosphere for the better.

The resort is very nice, you can relax with some swimming pools, good food, a fantastic sea and a lot of bar inside the resort. But the most fantastic thing is the animation team, a very kind and professional group of people Who will keep you entertained with a lot of activities: they make our holidays better, and we will miss them. I recommend to go

Hotel is absolutely stunning, that is where it ends, staff are very ignorant and you feel like your in there way you smile or say hello absolutely no response 1 bar person out of them all actually smiled, no entertainment ONLY kids mini disco so good if you have little ones but nothing for teenagers I don’t feel the hotel cater for English Pools are fantastic the beds are fab and you will always find a good spot, they do pool activities such as keep fit, polo, they do daytime activities like Zumba, Pilates not much for teenagers but they do walk around inviting you to join in Booked Superior room which was satisfactory, clean is basic they come in and sweep through good thing is you get fresh towels everyday , balcony was mucky and had not been swept as had fag butts and ash on it all week Daytime food was OK round pool , evening food was vile and staff again all look fuming , breakfast was always good but one toaster for whole hotel was not good, you can get fresh omelette on morning which is nicely cooked by a lovely young lady, ate out 4 nights out of 7 day stay there is also Al a Carte restaurant onsite ( found out after talking to someone) paid 20 euros for wine but food was free but was naff it is a set menu bread dips to start , mixed grill, and set dessert Drinks for kids good but adults absolutely dire, drank tequila sunrise mainly wine was gross lager OK, you have to purchase your own if you want to drink something nice Mini markets on site are brilliant and staff in them Are lovely and not over priced so that’s good Cleanliness of hotel around pools was poor I felt, I definitely feel like this hotel needs to be more friendly, approachable and cater for English There is a beautiful village behind hotel called kalutafari which not one staff member mentioned but heard from another holiday maker and it is stunning so please visit We plodded through this holiday but was bitterly disappointed waited 4 years and feel we wanted our money and spent more as had to buy nice drinks and eat out, I hope the management team take something from my review, main strip is nothing to shout about but there are some beautiful restaurants along sea front

First off overall the stay was ok thats the best bit....... Not 4 star Hotel staff are bad especially the reception (rude and un helpful) cleaners spot on. Security waste of time. Food awful and drinks, there were some good dishes but overall bad ( funny smell when entering the diner) Family rooms are bad you basically hiking to your room and there isn't any bin, kettle, and the rooms are definitely a 2 star. Plenty of pools but are never cleaned properly because I went for sla swim and swallowed a cup. This hotel get very busy and its like a rat race to get food and drink. Beyond the hotel is amazing we've been to crete before and know a little of the island, so we'll worth hiring a car and adventuring. This hotel is not what it seems when booking please don't waste your money like we did as we paid over 3k for a week and 4th day in my family of 5 wanted to go home even my little daughter was saying can we go home 3rd day in and that never happens or has happend when we go abroad ever. Ohhh almost forgot on arrival it was a nightmare with rooms and totally angry bell boy but we so shattered we just wanted to crash. Book somewhere else NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL. elounder is amazing .......

The hotel is great, good views on the sea, lot of good food and drinks. The animation team is something we’ll never forget about it. They are all great, good team and really good animation for childrens and for adults too, because of the games like archery, shooting, waterpolo, basket, table tennis, darts, water Zumba/dance/yoga and other activities too. They are all very professional and friendly! We’ll for sure keep in touch in the future!

So we are a family of 5 and we have had 14 night's at this hotel. The first thing is we spent 0ver £5,500 so we were hoping on a good hotel On arrival the room was so disappointing that I said that we can't stay here if this is the accommodation you are offering?? I actually thought it was staff accommodation? It was booked as a sea view It was a wall view Fortunately they upgraded the room they said it would normally would be a extra €30 a night This was the best thing about the hotel was the room. And the location was good it look nice at night Nice pool's Unfortunately the food was very poor! We ended eating out 7 nights out of 14 due to the food standard If you like pizza hot dogs burger's And the last night we walked off the complex And we see a restaurant out the front going up the hill and I asked if this was part of the hotel? they said yes but you need to book the day before 😂 If only they informed us more then on 1 board in the reception So the night's entertainment This is probably the worst entertainment out of any hotel I have ever stayed Poor poor poor My children are 10, 11 ,13 it was to young for them and the kids entertainment went on till 930/ 10pm every night!!. The drinks Was bad the wine was shocking!! I couldn't get any drinks I drink the only time I had I good drink is when I left the hotel 100% Not worth the money!! It's 2 hotel's and I booked this hotel as I thought it would be good for the kids , To meet children their own age? They didn't meet any children as it was way to big of a hotel So if you have very young children I would say it would be good for you as the food would be ok for children this young. And the entertainment. But for me I will never do a all inclusive again It was 7 day's to long I am on the bus going to the airport, and I have never been so happy to leave a place. I wished I got a villa
