We have just finished our two week holiday at the wonderful Nana Princess. What an amazing place. Lovely rooms, great facilities and incredible people. The two restaurants deserve a Michelin star; beautiful food and fantastic service by all the team. Special thanks to Fotoni for her wine recommendations and to Alexandros and Tomassai (Olive) for the excellent service. The breakfast buffet selection is delicious, something for everyone; great food and again excellent service, in particular from Sofia, Angeliki and Maria who were all lovely. The beach and pool areas are extremely well laid out and beautifully maintained with incredible attention to detail; we had no problems finding a place to relax and unwind. The beach has beautiful views looking out over the sea and a great team looking after your every need. After a hard day on the beach or by the pool we would wander to the Breeze pool bar and have drinks with the amazing Kostas who was not only a fantastic bartender (number one in Greece) and great fun but also the font of all knowledge for everything we needed to know. He was a real superstar and a catalyst for a great holiday. The spa was incredible with state of the art facilities and a lovely team who looked after us flawlessly; so relaxed after a couple of hours! Special, thanks to Katarina and Eliana for looking after us so well. Mr Michaelis (the head of food and drink on site) was warm and welcoming every time we saw him and always took time to make sure we were happy. Overall this was the best holiday experience we have ever had and we will definitely be back. Having travelled and stayed at many top end hotels we have never said this before as we are always looking to try somewhere different, so this really is the best compliment we can give. And finally a special thank you to the wonderful ladies who made up our room each day, always a beautiful smile and a warm hello. A fantastic place with wonderful staff and highly rated by all of the other guests we spoke to.…
Both Antonios Karatzis and Vassilis Ouranos should be very happy and proud with the Guest experience they have created here (and all their staff walk around with smiling faces and genuinely look like they like working here). We had a week in a wonderful waterfront suite half board and didn't have a bad meal - in fact the refined delicate flavours and nature of the restaurants surprised us (ask them about the Greek wines and try them (especially for me the Mavrotragano Hatzidakis from Santorini). Everywhere was immaculately clean perfectly maintained and fastidiously checked every day - you can watch the activity from your balcony every early morning ! Finally a BIG shout out to Kostas who runs the Pool bar incredibly well (and provided a very interesting Crete history lesson also sharing his treats to everyone on his name day) and Michalis on reception who provided an equally wonderful greeting when we arrived and also a wonderful goodbye when we left ! Only comment is you will want a car to explore the real Island further east or use a taxi to get into Heraklion as there isn't much locally Wonderful people gathered together to run a wonderful hotel and we are sure to visit again…
we spent 1 week in this fantastic hotel facing the sea, everythink has been fantastik from food, to staff, a special mention goes to Kostas from the pool bar, he made our holidays, great person and by far best bartender in crete,we will be back!!
This Resort will make you feel like you are the only person they have to take care of . The service was beyond expectations, all personal were so courteous ,polite and professional. The food was fresh and delicious Michelin Star quality. Everything was so clean and will maintained. Everyone was so helpful and always there to assist. The property is beautifully maintained and great location . The people working there all were so gracious and kind . Sad to leave never have I experienced this kind of service . Highly recommend this place to everyone. If the world was like this resort it would be a better place. Thanks to all for a world class experience. David and Michele Orluskie
We cannot fault any aspect of this hotel. We would give six stars for both the accommodation and staff if that were possible. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who greet you at every opportunity, often by name. We cannot recommend this hotel enough, you will not be disappointed. We will be back next year.
The Nana Princess earns top marks in every respect. Starting with the staff, who from the cleaners to the top management shone with selected politeness and always in the best of moods, to the rooms (our junior suite was spacious, excellently furnished and equipped with numerous technical gadgets - and a little private pool), to the generosity of the entire complex and the wonderful pool and beach landscape. And then the restaurants!!! The sushi bar on the beach to fall in love with. The Meat in Point, where you can get hearty meat specialities but also much more. And even more so the Eternal Blue with its fabulous fish and seafood offer... To indulge in!!! Plus a wine list that offers everything from autochthonous Cretan varieties to the top wines of the world. Wonderful! Two tiny suggestions: 1. a wine list should include vintages. Especially when there are items à la Petrus for over 5000 euros... 2. changing all the bath towels twice a day doesn't seem quite up to date in times of climate change. But again: 10 out of 10 points!…
Plenty to say about Nana Princess, all good. They started strong with a warm welcome - all the staff here treated us exceptionally well throughout our stay. No query was too trivial and they navigated us through our vacation very professionally and politely. Not only was this appreciated, but it relaxed us into the holiday very quickly (excellent) - some of the staff were truly lovely to us and it made it hard to leave! We both loved the facilities and the site - it's quite fantastic. you would never know it, Lovely private beach and associated facilities, a protected beach as well ideal for swimming and families. Pool and beach services were very good, making it feel more like an extension to your room than an outside area. Restaurants were also good, the Eternal Blue seemed to have less traffic but has the best position by far and is a really pleasant way to have a slow dinner watching the sun go down. Security is also excellent, a fully gated and patrolled site, perfect if you've driven here or have a family. We would happily recommend Nana Princess, we're not generally beach go-ers, but this place was wonderful and really helped us unwind properly - thank you very much…
This is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed at. The hotel layout is unique with all rooms having plunge pools. The hotel is ultra modern and very well maintained. Our room was fantastic and very modern with many high tech features. Our private pool was great. However, the pool boy stopped by a little too frequently which did interrupt our privacy. They should give some advance warning before he shows up. The check in process was also too lengthy with too many forms to sign. They are right on the ocean and have a nice small beach and swimming area. The breakfast was first class. The staff was also super friendly. It’s also easy and cost effective to rent your own car for a day.
Stylish resort with high-class amenities and exquisite cuisine. Good selection of wines and great cocktails. Beautiful architecture is well integrated into the landscape. The staff is joyful, helpfull and well trained. Pure excellence at all levels. Look forward to going back.
We came home a couple of days ago and this is the first hotel review i have ever written, so i think it says a lot. Unfortunately we only got to stay at the hotel for 22 hours. We stayed here at the end of our holiday mainly because it was close to the airport. But i wish we just had our whole stay here. From the moment my girlfriend and I stepped foot inside the gate we where met with open arms and smiles from the security guard. And after that we were met by a driver (sorry, can't remember his name or role) and a lady that showed us the way in to the lobby. There we were sat down in the couch and got some welcome drinks while we filled out some documents. I even got my own pen with my name on it. The lady asked if my girlfriend also wanted a pen and she said yes. Couple of hours later there was a knock on the door and she got the pen delivered :) We where given a full tour of the property and given all the information we needed. Even tho we just where staying for one night we got treated like we where staying for a week, which we enjoyed. Got a tour of our room and how to use all the buttons. We heated the pool to 30 degrees, which cost 100 euro. I see that many people complain that the prices are very high. I don't completely agree, I think it's a reasonable price considering how much energy it takes and you actually have your own pool. When we ordered the heatet pool we thought it would only be heated form 14:00 to 23:59 the day we came. But to our big surprise it was 30 degrees when we woke up the next morning, so we just had to jump in the pool before checking out. We spent some hours at the beach, and it took maybe 2 minutes from the moment we sat down, to we got served 4 towels. We ordered 2 cocktails and sushi form the beach bar which was just perfect. In the morning when we were headed for the airport I called the reception and asked for a driver at our door by 11:40 so we and our luggage could be driven to the reception. He was at our door exactly on time. To summarise: Next time we visit Crete we will definitely be spending our whole holiday here! The breakfast was amazing, everything from the food to the staff. Everybody was so nice and warm toward us. The room and property was spotless. Thank you so much for making my girlfriend and I feel like the most important persons in the world :) And hope to see all of you soon!…
