We have had the best holiday with our daughter - 14 year old. This was the last week of season before closing however the whole week we have been treated to amazing service, food, drinks and the spa was fantastic. We took part in the activities - Yoga, Archery, French Boules - all brilliant and the Tui team were engaging. The entertainment wasn’t the best in the theatre - the live music in the atrium was good and in fairness we tended to play cards and chat/play Pool/Table Tennis (in the kids area) If you have time to take the tour to Santorini it is well worth the journey. I would highly recommend this hotel and a swim up room. Thank you all!

We booked last minute and got a good deal for AI Sensatori hotel with TUI. Hotel coming to end of holiday season so not full to capacity (thankfully). Hate to be there when busy. Looks amazing on arrival and atrium impressive. We had a garden room, but no view, which meant we only slept/showered in room. Bed very comfortable, room size good, however bathroom needs revamp. Shower over bath and was difficult to get in & out. Not suitable for older people!. Cleaning of room was hit & miss most days. Food ok, but hot dishes were only ever luke warm - not nice. Lovely salads to choose from. 3 restaurants you can book as part of your holiday, only found Asian to be the best. Basilica is awful food and no one seems to clear tables so it feels unpleasant environment to eat in, Tex Mex, I can only say ribs were good but should be hotter, my husbands steak you could bounce off the floor, it was that rubbery. Drinks were good and staff who serve you by the pool very friendly. Adult only sections by pool and in restaurant. Pool was cold, (warmer to go into the sea) but I don't mind the cold as I enjoy swimming and got to have the pool to myself. The adult spa pool was warm but lots of tiles missing and some edges sharp. Toilet areas could be better. Not always clean and flickering lights in cubicles. Entertainment - what entertainment!!. Top atrium bar, the same person/songs EVERY night. Bottom atrium, kids entertainment in one room, which also meant screaming kids running around the atrium. Plus kids riding up and down the glass elevator unsupervised. I liked the fact you could book restaurants via app, but the app doesn't give you much info overall. Very helpful you can pre check-in on departure, so no queuing at airport, you go straight through to departure area, however be sure to give yourself plenty of time for Passport Control which is slow. The location of hotel is ok, but not many shops or restaurants. Good beach to walk along and sea calm and great to swim in. Personally, I would not recommend hotel for couples looking for a relaxing holiday. It's a big hotel and despite adult areas you are never far from the child friendly areas. Loved Crete and will revisit the island, but not this particular hotel.

If you are staying here you’ve most likely booked through Tui, if you haven’t been told (we weren’t) you need to download the hotels app for a pre check in. Our coach wasn’t told until we arrived so there was a lot of unimpressed passengers to say the least! Check in could be a lot smoother and easier but sadly wasn’t after a long morning of travelling and involved more queuing than necessary! The app is unnecessary for check in! Luggage is bought to the room by porters which is nice but again took a long while to be delivered to us. Don’t waste money booking a swim up suite if you want a view, we were positioned next to the main road used by loud motorcycles and coaches that ruined any privacy we had (see picture) and peacefulness we had. Would be nice for a privacy screen or some bamboo/plants could be positioned so we weren’t constantly overlooked by passers by who liked to have a nose. Although the room nice, we had a problem with Ants in the lounge by the sliding door, this was noticed on arrival so did not enjoy using the lounge area. We did notify reception who said they’d send someone out but still noticed them for our week. The walls in the rooms were also quite thin…. Bathroom was nice but whirlpool bath was not as big as expected although perfect size for our one year old! We also didn’t realise for a few days that you aren’t meant to flush toilet paper and meant to use the bin provided. The nicest pools in the resort were sadly adults only, yet as the pools were FREEZING nobody seemed to used them anyway. Signage was misleading around the pools, on one sign it states it was adults only, but on another it says that the pool will ge used by families and children, as a family it felt a shame that two big pools were not allowed to be used. We did use the kids pool/splash pool which was great for our toddler but just felt really out the way and hidden at the back of the hotel. The a la catre restaurants have to be booking using the hotels app, or the iPads located on the bottom floor of the reception. Sadly we only got to pick three for the week, we visited the Asian, Italian and Mexican. All were fantastic and food was fresh and delicious. The only downside is that these don’t open until 7pm and if you have young kids you’ll miss the start of the entertainment. We visited the Mexican most lunchtimes and the tacos were to die for!! The main restaurant is the standard buffet with theme nights. Good selections although there was never any normal melon for breakfast. I did love that they cooked English bacon aswell though. Do not bother using the spa at this hotel! Their service and treatments let the hotel down. They push their package treatments on you and just want your money. I asked for just a normal massage but apparently this wasn’t an option. I had a 70 minute treatment booked but because of a bad storm which caused the hotel to flood they could not fulfil my initial full treatment which ended up as a 20 minute back massage which was horrific, the lady had sharp nails and there was no pressure, I tried to talk to her but she did not understand me. It was also not relaxing as due to the thin walls the noise from the indoor pool travelled. The spa would not refund me because of the change of treatment and just kept offering me free gifts. When I tried to discuss that I wasn’t happy with my treatment they were rude and kept speaking in Greek to each other and basically called me a liar. This was so intimidating and was very uncomfortable. I walked out in tears. They just want your money don’t care about anything after that so avoid at all costs!!!! Apart from the spa staff who let the hotel down all staff were friendly and chatty, especially to our toddler which was lovely. The staff at the Mexican were always very happy and friendly. Also the lady who ran the international kids club, it’s a shame her room was not promoted more or signposted as she was in the corner room on the bottle floor. Sadly on the last day of our holiday, bad storms caused power cuts and flooding in some areas. We got trapped in a lift and as they had no power the emergency button was not working. We were banging on the doors when thankfully someone cleaning the rooms heard us and got maintenance to get us out but it also cut the power to our room so we had to go and get the master key. Although this is not the hotels fault entirely it affected our experience. Location was ideal if you like beach and to explore the local areas. The beach is just over the road from the hotel and a big long road of nice bars/restaurants and supermarkets. Hersonsiss is 15 mins away by taxi and worth a visit for the harbour and shopping. We didn’t feel the hotel was up to a 5 star status and feel that more can be done in places to create a more luxurious, perfect stay… - cleanliness in the room could be improved, we found the staff cleaned round things and not just sweep/mop round things. Also don’t leave the floor soaked. -privacy protection round swim up rooms, would create a more comfortable and private environment for guests. - Better control panel in rooms- ours was very temperamental and kept putting the wrong lights on. - Mini bar selection could be improved with things like Pepsi, lemonade. - Scrap pre check on the app!! People don’t want to be spending more time queuing when they arrive. - Use a better spa company who can offer 5 star services and speak to customers in a better manner. - Provide a drinks menu at the bars- not everyone has the facilities to scan QR codes to find out the cocktails. - I wouldn’t expect to find dents and marks in doors and walls, maybe these could be better covered. - More than 3 visits to the a la cartes would be nice. This may feel over critical but we paid a lot of money for this holiday, our first one since pregnancy and lockdowns and just don’t feel we got our moneys worth on this occasion sadly.

were meant to be placed at Elounda Breeze but were told we had been upgraded as our hotel had closed early. We thought fantastic! How wrong we were, I’ve never been away in October but it was clear from the beginning, that staff were fed up and wanted the season to end! Only one person smiled and that was Sarah at the kids splash park oh, and Elena at the after evening drinks bar, worked to the bone, clearly shattered but always smiled, that girls deserves a medal. Thank goodness for you both. When a 7 and 8 year old comment on moody staff that says it all, I’ve II I have been away several times with my children but never have I felt so compelled to write a review. I’m always a person that says people expect too much, but here was another level, especially when I tell my children to always be polite. All but one pool was freezing, being in the adults area. This will give a divided opinion, however, I took my children the last two days to the jacuzzi adult pool (I might add I was told jacuzzi yet the jets were never on and pool tiles were falling off everywhere) at 4pm, hardly anyone around my two girls not making a sound…. Just diving under the water. The lifeguard came over and said he had a complaint (no adult in the pool had a problem) this complaint came from the waiter!!!!! Because when he came over 10 minutes before my girls asked him for a drink! I had not gone at 9am, midday or 2pm, I went at 4pm when no one was around so I could spend some time with my children. I was greeted with three staff being hotel management, a lady from PR and a TUI employee telling me to vacate, despite the whole week I was there, children were in that same pool! I did refuse and let my children have their last 15 minutes in warm water, swimming quietly! The food was terrible, dry meats everyday! Served again by miserable staff. Steak restaurant charging 40euros for a rib eye steak with over cooked broccoli, rock hard carrot, sauté potatoes that looked and tasted like they’d been left out all day and refried over and over, my daughter had seabass on the hot stone with blood line in it so it ruined the whole dish! 20% off for people staying at the hotel. We refused and got 50% after several conversations! It wasn’t worth 20% of the bill! The rooms were never cleaned properly! Drinks, glasses, plates left for days! Just a mere bed made. And when we said we needed our room cleaned properly, again, met with faces of distain! The first night we experienced a talented singer, we thought wow, we’re set in the evenings. But then every night we had the same man, singing same songs, and unfortunately after day three we could not stand anymore! Our last night we reluctantly went into the kids theatre for evening entertainment. Three men singing soul music, WOW! We were like they’ve saved our holiday. We started talking and WE offered them drinks! They sang more, did tik toks with my daughters, then relocated to the lobby bar. They made our last night. So to my absolute horror today, I received a message stating they had been sacked from the hotel, because a staff member at the bar said they were kissing guests (they were only with myself, my partner and two children) certainly no kissing. Said they were ordering drinks! No they weren’t, we were offering! To the person that made this complaint, if you thought they shouldn’t be having drinks, why serve my partner and I! Then to further add insult to injury you said they were walking around the hotel at 11am the next day! I have personally made Instagram and Twitter posts tagging Sensatori and TUI to flag this.

I had a deep tissue massage from Julia and it was excellent - like a sports massage - which is what I asked for. Followed by a mud pack and facial. So good and really relaxing. The sauna and steam room facilities were clean and lovely. I would highly recommend it. Staff were also really friendly

Brilliant stay at Caldera Palace. We came here for our honeymoon for 11 nights and had an amazing stay. Pros - Food was delicious. Huge selection and variety of food at the main restaurant. We ate at the tex mex and Italian a la carte and both were great. Waiting staff were AMAZING. Friendly and attentive. - Cleanliness. Very clean and mini bar in room Is always stocked. Fresh towels whenever you want! - Facilities. Had several amazing spa treatments. Pools were great, no problems getting sun loungers. There’s a shop, jewellers, and gym on site. Tennis courts, indoor pool. Everything was there!! Even water sports right outside the front door on the beach. - Extremely comfy (and massive) bed - Tui reps available to talk to everyday and helped book excursions for us - Say cheeeese photography! Had the most beautiful photos taken for us by Mila. - Waiter service round the pool was great - Loved some of the entertainment and the live singers in the lobby bar were brilliant - Brut and fruit platter on arrival to our room as they knew it was our honeymoon, this was a nice touch. Also offered us discounts in the spa and jewellers however due to being end of season there were quite a few discounts anyway Cons - The lighting in our corridor was quite poor in the day. Stubbed my toe several times on the stairs as couldn’t see where I was going! Slight health and safety hazard - Door locks and handles in public toilets are loose or don’t lock properly - Balcony was lovely but could have been a bit cleaner! Needs a good hoover and mop TIP Hop on the mini land train that leaves outside the hotel. Great little outing!

We had a family massage that was very relaxing. There were 3 rooms; one sauna, one steam and one hot stone. I went in all 3 and they suited me. My massage was lovely; just firm enough and relaxing. Everyone enjoyed themselves and especially my 12 year old daughter who was treated very sensitively as it was her first spa visit.

The resort itself was lovely. We booked the all inclusive package. We unfortunately went and there was a storm on the day of arrival. Nothing was said or done to make us feel comfortable. No suggestions for indoor activities or arrangements. We sat in our room for 3 days. The food was not nice, I’m not usually a fussy person. However the quality of the food was horrible. It was always cold. The pizza was just an insane amount of cheese and no sauce. The food options were always cold there was no hot food. It had been left there. Many times I saw children putting their hands into the food to pick and eat. It was really unpleasant. All the cutlery and dishes absolutely wreaked of dishwasher soap. All the drinks tasted off due to the dishwasher smell. The room was very nice and tidy however the cleaners did not clean properly the shower had a smell to it. They didn’t replenish things like shower cap, tissue, earbuds. On the last day the room service lady sat outside our room from 9:00am waiting for us to come out. We went for breakfast and she came in and cleaned the room and told us we cannot use the toilet now. Which was so wrong and inconvenient as check out was at 10:30. We had over 50 mins in which we was unable to finish our packing and we’re rushed out of the room. The pools were absolutely freezing and we could not get in all week. The spa pool was being used and was just a disgusting mess. It was overflowing with kids and people and absolutely smelled horrid. The prices for the spa were insanely expensive and can definitely be re looked. The resort itself isn’t really a 5* considering it only had the look but not the service. The staff weren’t helpful at times either. Food options were my biggest thing. It was awful I cannot express how disappointing it was. I was actually unwell and sick due to the food on one of the days were cold pork bao buns were served. My holiday was really a waste of money. I’m actually really sad and dissatisfied.
