We stayed at the hotel Arms - Kalimpong last December 2023 for New Year Eve and checked out on 2 January 2024. The location is great and the hospitality is awesome. Previously we have booked some other hotels through MMT but the hotel is horrible, so I have contacted some of my known people and they suggested me hotel Arms. Once we checked in everything was good and beautiful. Will definitely stay at the same hotel once we were in Kalimpong and Yes, definitely we recommend this hotel to everyone.

We are just back from a short stay at Hotel Arms, Kalimpong. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time at the Hotel. Everyone at the Hotel were amazingly warm & hospitable. The Rooms were clean & well maintained. The best part at the hotel was that we were served with some exclusive dishes cooked just for us. The hotel provided us with everything including arranging a car for showing us around Kalimpong and its neighborhood. Everything put together we had a truly memorable stay, the memories of which we will cherish over a long time. We must say that the Hotel very much lives to its caption which states" Come in as a Guest and Leave as a Family.
We will like to take this opportunity to thank each & everyone at the Hotel & will strongly recommend the Hotel to any one who is looking for a pleasant stay at Kalimpong.

I am writing this review exactly after one year of staying in the hotel. I have to say there are some trips which keeps on coming back to your memories and it spreads a smile across your face. My trip to Kalimpong was one of such! And a lot of the credit for that goes to Hotel Arms and the people who run it. I have to start by talking about Pawan, What a great guy! Anything we need, Anytime we need, The guy appears from Aladeen's lamp and with a smile says in an almost jingling voice, 'Sure, That can be done!'. I am still in touch with him over Whatsapp and have invited him to Kolkata. There was Nishant, A sweet boy of 16, Who lost both his parents, always smiling with a sweet K-pop like face. Such bliss was his smile. And of course, Matrika! A really nice woman. Who was always working relentlessly to make the experience even better. The hotel has real cozy rooms with a stunning view of the valley. The bathrooms are clean, We booked three rooms, One had a bathtub. I have to say soaking myself in the tub with the view of the valley from the window adjacent to the tub is one memory I will remember for some time. The dining area was nice, The food cooked by Pawan and his gang were amazing. One day he cooked us some Sel-Rotis for free just because I said I wanted to try all the authentic food from the area. Aloo Thukpa is something very authentic, Although some might find it bland, but I loved it! Now, Something about Kalimpong, People often flock to Darjeeling and Gangtok, and stays in Kalimpong for a day or two. But I would like to advise everybody to stay for 5-6 days if you can. The people of Kalimpong are more welcoming, The Cafés in the area like Café Kalimpong and Art Café are most beautiful and soothing. Taking a stroll down the road towards the chowk is such a nice experience. Buy some Dalle Chutney and eat some Phaleys. Visit the Haat Bazaar Flea market to buy some really cheap clothes. Just try to have all the authentic experiences which Darjeeling and Gangtok can't give you because they have become so much touristy! The day I was returning from Kalimpong, I told my friends, that if I ever wish to have a second home in some other city or town then it has to be Kalimpong!

The worst experience I’ve ever had. The staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional from the moment we checked in. They acted like they were doing us a favor just by answering basic questions and seemed annoyed whenever we asked for help. The service was absolutely terrible—rooms weren’t cleaned properly, and it took forever to get even simple requests like a room service. The attitude of the staff was dismissive and disrespectful, making the entire stay stressful and unpleasant. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay away!

A wonderful warm welcome to a small hotel not far from the main shops and restaurants. We walked everywhere and loved the joy of Kalimpong. Situated above the Honda Repair shop the views from our room over the town and to the mountains promised to be expansive but it was too hazy. October and November has less haze. The small staff made us feel special and nothing was too much for them, even popping out to fetch beer for our meals or an afternoon drink. Our breakfasts were fresh omelettes and toast and jam, delicious.

Honestly, Hotel Arms (Prashant, Nabin, Matrika, Rickzen) made first solo travel to North Bengal just as special as it could be. While i initially planned to stay for a day or two and leave for Lepcha Jagat but something about the place just gave me what i needed the most. Waking up to the sunrise from Room No.204 was just what you can dream of. Meeting the locals, chilling with Prashant and Nabin gave me the company i needed and the space i wanted. Nevertheless i ended up staying there for 5 days, jammed with the musicians around and almost cried when i left. As prashant rightly said, guest banke aye the, sathi banke jah rahein hain.
P.S. The space was clean and hygienic and had everything the place promised
