HHR never fails to amaze me! This is the 5th time I've stayed here starting from 2015. Close your eyes and trust the services of this hotel, you won't be disappointed. Their hospitality, food, location, transport access everything's a plus point. Being a lover of prace and calm, their private beach access is a cherry on the cake. Whether be for a night or a long stay, you have all types of room and all the amenities one requires under a single roof and reasonable rates. Long live HHR!!

We had an enjoyable stay in the Holiday Resort. The hotel was excellent, their service is unparalleled. The huge lawn with swimming pool and spa was beautiful. The beach is also a bit secluded, compared to usual crowd and that made this hotel a perfect vacation destination. The membership card is the cherry on 20top. I paid ₹826 to get this card, which ultimately saved ₹10k in total. The restaurant has a fantastic beach view. The service is excellent. Everyday ample mineral water bottles, tea, coffee, cookies, cleaning the room and the staff behaviour would definitely please you. These five-day vacation was worth spending in the Holiday Resort. I have the membership card now, valid till 2029. We'll visit again.
P.s. the only small issue was the size of the room. We booked a family room, with two kids and three adults, the room was a bit small.

I had a bad experience with the front desk staff Mr. Shoumendra Kumar Ganthia. I have never experienced such rude behaviour by front desk staff and when I pointed this out, he still kept on arguing and said he didn’t care. The hotel should definitely have staff who is polite and understanding and, most important, should be respectful which he wasn’t . This spoiled my mood for the whole day. I am still giving a rating of 3 because the location of the hotel is good. It has direct access to the beach and the food is good. The restaurant staff is polite and understanding. Though the room service is pathetically slow and we waited for more than 45 mins for just a starter. My advice would be to stay in the Niladari beach or golden beach area as those beaches are much cleaner and well maintained.

Finding the hotel basis google maps ( we drove) is an issue as there aren’t direction boards and the hotel is inside a lane and the only board is atop the 4-5 storied building. There’s ample parking space , front office is well behaved and when they lead you to the rooms the facade towards the sea looks majestic with a lush green garden . Only two cottages ( if you’ve booked one like us ) face the sea and the rest are horrible like ours (114). Inside furnishings are decent and the bed is comfortable and room size is good and so are the washrooms . Pool is tiny and gets over crowded when you just have 12-14 people and sadly , one can’t swim then. Food served in restaurants is horrible in taste , I repeat very very bad and they are simply exorbitant cost wise ! Breakfast is only alacarte and never a part of room rate . You need to be careful with your belongings and not give any of your sea washed clothes / bags to dry outside your cottage . Our stuff meant to get dried simply vanished and the hotel had no solution to this ! Am sorry I won’t recommend people to this hotel and would rate them a 2/5.

*Disappointing Experience at Hotel Holiday Resort Puri*I must emphasize that this hotel is primarily a marriage house and not suitable for individual families. Unfortunately, the staff did not treat us as valued guests.
The hotel's facilities, including the restaurant, pool, and recreation room, are geared towards group parties, such as weddings and anniversary celebrations. As a single family, we were not allowed to access these facilities, even for breakfast. We had to order room service, which was inconvenient.
Overall, our experience at Hotel Holiday Resort Puri was subpar, and I would caution others to carefully consider their stay here, especially if traveling with family.

Not worth the money! Hotel reception told us the room price is with breakfast and then refused to give breakfast saying he never said it! I had no choice cause we reached very late in the night as well I had aging parents so so i had to opt for the family room which was dongy, contested. The reception guy over charged me. Anyways the hotel is just a 3 star avg not worth the money.Ac makes too much noise couldn't even sleep comfortably. Bathrooms are okay. Worst ever part is that you can hear tv from the next room so can't sleep until the other room shuts it down.pillows will literally break your neck! Food in the restaurant is good. Reception desk very bad! I had to stay in puri for 3 nights but I changed my hotel cause this one is not worth it! I will never recommend this to anyone neither I will ever visit. If you want to get cheated, pls visit.

Any room requests for extra stay will put you at the mercy of hotel. If you do get a room be prepared to pay full 24 hour charge even if you want the room for few hours only. All talk of consideration is trash. In the end its only cash or its just business as quoted by fo personnel. You cannot be sure of occupancy or free rooms as this info is not shared openly. Avoid visiting if some marriage is going on. Half the property will be sold or blocked by marriage party which restricts your usage of many hotel facilities. Standard hotel rules do not apply at these times like drinking booze in the pool or dress code to be followed. Guests can smoke openly at these times. After all its business. On the plus side go for 4 bedded rooms only on 4th floor or above. Rooms are big and comfortable. Housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. In house restaurant is preferable if you are ready to pay 3 times the market rate. Service is slow so do not go if you are short of time. Checkin before time maybe difficult as rooms may not be ready. Hotel location is excellent and on the beach. However ct road does not provide good alternate eating options.

Pros-Location, food. (Proximity to beach and railway station. Although there is not a highlighted or marked way at the hotel for going to the beach) Cons- Hospitality, Housekeeping and staff behavior. Front office is highly discourteous, housekeeping and other staff have not been groomed for any hospitality. Inappropriate checkin and check out timings (10:00 am & 8:00 am) which is first of it's kind. The entire concierge was full of luggages of peoples who have been pushed out of the room due to these inappropriate timings and have to wait for further trains etc. No buffet option available either for breakfast or for lunch which is not a good thing as it took almost an hour to order and finish the meal at the restaurant.

We planned and successfully conducted our family function for 150 people. It is one of the best venue for family function in Puri.
1. Location is best. Very close to Temple, railway station. Can easily commute to Puri temple, Konark temple, railway station with hotel taxis outside taxis or autos. 2. Beach facing rooms and beach is just beside. You dont have to cross any road to go to the beach. Just keep your valubles in the room and go to the beach. Very convinient beach experience. 3. Beach facing garden and Pool. They serve jhalmudi and tea jn the garden jn rhe evening. 4. Rooms are good with family rooms , cottages are rwally good. very convinient for family trip and functions. 5. Food is excellent. We had private breakfast lunch dinner snacks for our group. I would say food is sumptuous and awsome. 6. All facilities are excellent including Room service, house keeping, resturant. 7. The staff is very coordial and cooperative. We booked our function from the US and they were very prompt in their response and flexible. 8. The directors visit to the party areas personally makes sure that things are in order.
Few things could improve For group check in process is little time taking. There should be some process improvement needed here.
Over all we had a very mind blowing experience and will definitely recomend this place for personal family trips and specifically for group events and functions. Our all the guests are very happy and we certainly look forward to organize more functions here.

I have never encourages me to write any negative review but the situation forced me to highlight my experience which will be useful for others, We are in a group of 8 people who have stayed there last week for 2 nights , we wanted to enjoy and cherish our moments but unfortunately it turn into a disaster, Staying in holiday resort is always a nightmare for me and for my friends, Rooms are not clean . Cockroaches as well as lizards are ready to give you their company while staying in the rooms . The Service is pathetic, we have highlighted the same thing to them but they told due to shortage of their Staffs the services were delayed. During our stay on an evening when me and my friends thought to have dinner together there was literally no one to take our orders, We have in fact told to one of the Waiter but he denied to take our order as he told that for this table there is a different person who will come and take order, guess what nobody came, we have waited their for almost 1 hour then we decided to have the dinner outside. The next morning when we ordered our breakfasts they made us wait for more than 45 minutes post which when we enquired about the delay they told us we need to wait more,,, very rudely. I always thought Holiday resort is the best resort in puri when it comes to their hospitality, but I was afraid after staying there I had an unrealistic thought about them. I would like to request their management to check these basic amenities and as a part of the hospitality group to take care of their utmost respects of their Guests.

I don't think any room has zacuzzi...though I am not sure.
I had also stayed at their beach side ground floor cottage a couple of years ago but did not find any zacuzzi
