Quite a nice property if one is lucky enough to get a sea-facing room. The rooms are large with the balcony being the best part of it – large enough to seat six to seven adults. But the room tariffs & the food seem to be a bit over-priced. Also, they could improve upon the breakfast spread. The fish finger though is fabulous. This is at the fag end of Puri beach & hence not much of a crowd around, which in other words translate to tranquility.
Stayed there with family for two nights The hotel was constructed for grandeur for events and marriages but not up to the mark for tourists. The rooms are not clean and bath rooms are not up to the mark . Only three persons are allowed in the elevator at a single time. If your are with family you need to use it twice. Breakfast is average. The only advantage is the beach which is not crowded.
Dirty and smelly rooms. Had a terrible stay. The external appearance is deceptive. The rooms welcome you with dampness and foul smell. Considerable struggle goes into opening and closing the doors. Restaurant in the basement serves meals only at fixed hours and if you arrive late, you stay hungry.
This hotel is located on the far end of the Puri Marine Drive, beyond the Lighthouse, and facing the sea with no obstruction. Being further down the road beyond Lighthouse, the beach wasn’t crowded and free from ugly shacks. The hotel has a distinct regal style in its architecture and interior decoration: stone inlaid marble flooring in the reception, very thick looking walls supported on pillars in the balcony attached to room, carved wood trimmings in the room etc. The room (#207) was generously proportioned and had a wonderful view of the sea, from right inside. We really enjoyed viewing the sea from the room; from the balcony and of course walking down to the beach in front. Even at night one could hear the sea from the balcony. Fixtures and fittings seemed to be a bit worn out and dated; I had to practice a bit to get the skill of unlocking the main door. The restaurant/ dining hall serves adequate choice of food for a la carte dining or breakfast buffet, for the Indian tourist. The hotel also put out umbrellas and chairs on the sea front, and a Life Guards are present to assist in enjoying the sea waves.…
We had ordered a chicken biryani.. However, the same did not come even after 30 mins.. when called, the room service replied that the person has just left carrying your ordered food.. though he did not come to our room and I called again after 15 mins, then again room service said that he is leaving now.. after so much time, the food arrived and we ate it with this kind of bad experience.. incorrect practice of lying to the customer.. at least we shouldn’t have been given false reply when called first time to check the status of the order.. one more thing, the guy left after delivering biryani.. we did not lock the room.. after sometime, the guy who was bringing icecream for us rang the doorbell and, before we open the door, he opened the door and entered the room just like that (this happened in less than 5-7 seconds).. hopefully necessary steps are taken to maintain truthfulness in response to customer query and also privacy is respected.…
The first view of the hotel looks nice from outside but it’s not that clean from inside. You see pigeons droppings quite a few places, and this causes a weird smell everywhere. Reception area was fine with some sitting area, elevator is super dirty and smelly. Food is also pathetic in quality and taste. Breakfast was awful with no choice of basic stuff. We had in room dinning as well, but again it tasteless. On the day of arrival, we did not get complimentary mineral water, when we requested the same, it has been charged to room. At check out time when we raised this, hotel staff argued about it, is it really worth to ague for two bottle of water? They did not removed the two bottle charge from final bill but gave us two bottle, it’s just pity to have such experience. Our room was good with a nice balcony and can see the sea from the balcony. The main jagannath temple is 10 mins ride and you can easily get the autos outside the hotel, though we drove to the temple to nearest parking area which is 300 mtrs from the temple. Overall, it was just a passing experience and we may not visit this hotel again. …
Went during independence day 2018, hotel location is right on the beach and staff are extremely friendly especially Manager Mr A Behera who even wished my son Happy Birthday and organised a small celebration with our family and hotel staff, thank you Mr Behera.
Its located on a calm and personal type beach. The staff are very much helping and cooperative. Food is delicious. Any problems the GM Mr.D.Rath is always around to help you. Rooms give you a Maharaja feel.
Room : spacious, neat and bathroom was in good condition. 4.5/5 Food : Delicious ( we are veg), they were very kind of preparing for some of the customized food for our child. 5/5 Staff: Very supporting and courteous staff. 5/5 Location : For Puri, this is one of the best location, auto takes 10-15 mins max for temple. Private Beach ( cleaner than city side beach) is walking 25 mtrs away.
10/10 for hospitality, cleanliness, food, rooms . We were treated royally by the entire team especially by Hotel manager Mr. Ashish Behra. Excellent food and good breakfast. Temple is 15 min from the hotel. Beach is exactly in front of the hotel and it is very neat and clean. Definitely recommended.
