HOTEL SWEET VILLA (Puri, Odisha) - Lodging Reviews, Photos, Rate Comparison

Sweet Villa - The name is actually a misnomer. I booked a ‘deluxe villa ‘ and expected an independent VILLA 100 m from the se. What I got was just a decent size room. They explained that they call their rooms ‘villa’ !!!! I paid ₹7500 during yearend holiday for a room with a huge terrace overlooking the sea. The curtain heaped onto the floor the moment it was pulled back. The terrace was another disappointment since it was a free for all. No privacy! Their Airconditioning people came for regular service while we were in the room. Another intrusion on privacy. Short walk to the beach was through a narrow ally that fizzled out the superlatives for the amazing beach experience. Their part of the beach was rather secluded, clean and beautiful. Everything else was also clean and new but all in all heavily overpriced. Will not call it a value for money.…

IT WAS A DISASTER

*Staff doesn't know how to talk. *It says they accept payment by card, but they don't citing the commission by card companies. *Somebody had cleaned their shoes on the bathroom mat when we checked in. We asked to change it, they said they don't have housekeeping staff after the evening. *WORST- Mattress is smaller than the size of the bed and the bed has super super sharp edges. It'll give you deep cuts when getting on and off it. Especially NOT SAFE FOR KIDS. *It was a new mattress covered with a plastic wrap causing sweat. When asked to remove it, they said it's new and they want to keep it that way.

Visited with family

I visited Puri with my family from 15th October to 18th October and booked 2 rooms on the top floor 401 &402. Although the positioning of the hotel is amazing, the service was below average. In the dinning sector, a single person handled everything from in room dining to serving in the restaurant. Plus the wait time for food (breakfast or lunch or dinner) is above 45 mins. On the top of the same, wrong food billing with wrong serves. The front office is another story, while booking they confirmed to take card payments when you go to pay bills they accept only cash or upi. Completely unacceptable.

Lovely Accomodation

It was a surprise. What a find at new New Marine Drive, Baliapanda. Absolutely a brand new hotel with beautiful rooms completely see facing with all modern amenities. Lift facultiy, restuarant service. Lovely concept of extra built in mattress for extra person. Good service and a very good host. A must try hotel.
