Very rude and arrogant staffs, this is due to the location and 24 hour check out...they do not care about customers, I would suggest never visit Puri hotel, Founding father's of Puri hotel have values for customers, they were very nice for customers, but now you can smell the arrogance when you talk with any staff.

Best and cheapest place is puri station railway retiring rooms only 616 Rs for very big room with 2 double bed 1 single bed attached bath Lovely place on 1st floor on ground floor has very nice restaurant. Outside station you get bus for Sri Sri Jagannath temple also for lighthouse

Shabby rooms, age old wooden furnitures broken and hanging, bathroom in dire need of maintenance. No basic toiletries,no geyser, no electric Kettle, no tea coffee making set. In one word Puri hotel apart from its location and complimentary pick up and drop facility from railway station offers nothing, absolutely nothing, not even online booking facility. I have been a fan of this hotel but my recent experience completely changed my views and the worst part is the management doesn't care. The reception manager apart from lifting his head and nodding, did nothing to help. Yes, the room tariffs are very affordable but that doesn't mean you offer nothing. It surely wont harm your reputation if you have to increase the tariff to do some basic amendments. It's high time to think about it. …

Do visit OTDC Panthaniwas Puri it's an awesome place I have ever seen. Would recommend all who visit Puri to halt at this place. Staff is also very polite and helpful. An awesome restaurant with authentic food at a very reasonable rate. *****

was on a road trip of tribal Odisha. Returned via Puri Jagannath Dhaam. Stayed in Puri hotel for nostalgia of n number of visits. My god what a pathetic state the hotel is. Whole day there is chk in chk out. No maintenance. Got room 203 for me & 26 for driver. My room was a servant room and my drivers room Indian pan was detached from floor. My AC went out in the middle and never was repaired. The bed sheet was torn for a nostalgic effect. May be I slept on it 10 years ago. Sad to see such an old hotel being reduced to a fleecing Centre. Paid 2700 for a room whose pics will speak. Never ever ever stay in this hotel. It is a sham & waste product of its earlier glory

Dear Guest, We have gone through your reviews regarding our hotel. We are surprised to note that you were staying in room no: 203 which is non AC sea-facing room, so the AC was not working is out of question. Secondly you won’t get a non AC sea-facing room at this cheap rate i.e. Rs 1500/- with the best sea view possible and the other room no: 26 @ 800/- also with the sea view which is specially made for attendants/drivers of our guests which you won’t get anywhere in Puri. Whole day people check in & check out is because we have 24 hours checkout facility for the benefit of our guests which you will not get in any other hotel in entire Puri town. If you were so disappointed with the condition of the room you should have not checked in as we always show the room to our guests before check in. This is our 75th year of hotel industry. Our hotel was established in 1947. We have our regular customers who are very satisfied with our service & they visit frequently without any complain. Ours is a middle class hotel & not of any star category serving customers for last 75 years.

I visited Puri with my mother and stayed at Puri hotel. We opted for a non AC deluxe room as the weather was pretty good. The room was not upto the mark in terms of cleanliness. It is an old property which badly needs renovation. Lift was not working also. Not value for money at all. Only advantage is the location and 24 hrs check-out facility. Other than that not worthy of a single penny.

I have been to puri over a dozen number of times in my 32 yrs. It was a 4 day stay from 31st march to 3rd April. The price of the room was 2k/day. The day i arrived here with my family, the room service guy who carried our luggage to our designated room wouldn't leave without a tip saying that he won't be available thereafter anymore, whereas we could see him everyday at the hotel itself. Next comes, I wanted a bottle of bisleri water around 9.30pm on the same day & kept pressing the room service bell multiple times since then. But nobody came. When I called the reception for the same at around 10.15pm, they informed room service has been closed at 10pm & they won't be able to help & I should go down from 8th floor to fetch a bottle of bisleri myself & disconnected the phone on my face. This was the 1st incident. Now coming to the food. We order egg fried rice & chilli chicken for dinner. It tasted absolutely blunt overall. The chilli chicken was more like a garlic chicken without proper seasoning & marination & loads of just garlic. The day we were scheduled to leave, in the morning my parents left to visit the temple as I was sleeping in the room, so my parents decided to lock the room from outside. All of a sudden I wake up all sweaty & realized the fan is off. I thought it was a load shedding. But to my surprise I discovered the switch board with the fan lights & charging port isn't working. I called the reception to send someone over & look into it and also send a duplicate or master key if they have 1 as I wasn't sure whether my parents left the room key at reception or not. The receptionist instead of focussing on the problem started blaming me saying that it's my parents fault that they haven't left the room key at the reception & the hotel authority doesn't have a duplicate or a master key, which was unbelievable for me to hear & also added that he won't be able to help before my parents are back! I would like to ask, do any1 really believe that a hotel as grand as this doesn't have a duplicate or master key to help their customers in their need? Worst experience ever! They don't have anything to offer other than the view from the hotel room. I personally am never coming back to stay at this hotel from my next visit.…

Experienced great room service and great food in their restaurant,rates are reasonable.Rooms are also good with cable connected led tv. All bathrooms are with comode facility.In winter hot bathwater is supplied by service personnel.Room delivery of foods are also available.
