It was a great stay at Hotel Naren Palace. Location wise it's very near to sea beach at Chakra Tirtha Road. Food was as delicious as always. Every time We enjoyed a lot here. Always book Super DX rooms... It is a Sea view room with a balcony. Hotel has a rooftop swimming pool with mesmerizing view of Ocean.. I always appreciate service render by team Naren Palace Dear Sarangi Babu, Jagannath Babu and Sushil
In the last nine years I've often stayed at the Naren Palace. Every time there has been a lot of improvement. This year routers have been added in every room, making WiFi more reliable. Most of the staff and the manager have been with the hotel for quite some years. This is a good sign for quality. Rooms are boasting a refrigerator, a balcony and other amenities. Personally, I prefer room 406 with an impressive view of the fishing village and the sea. The rooms are cleaned every day by friendly young men. Unfortunately my favourite garden restaurant at CT Road doesn't exist any more. So I took my evening meals at the hotel restaurant, which boasts an extensive menu. The quality of the food was very good. Being a valued guest I was offered an additional omelet with my breakfast and a fruit basket was sent to my room. All in all I can recommend the Naren Palace, especially as the price of the room was rather modest. …
Great location comfortable rooms with all essential amenities and nice food. The great and most applrecaible thing is the staff at receotion and in dinning room. Its seafacing hotel. Very near and easiky accessible to Main Jagannath temple and famous Golden beach Strongky recommended.
Good Place, Seaview rooms are good, Lovely food, Humble staff, Complimentary breakfast, and the overall experience was good. The approach road to the hotel is narrow. Sea is at a little distance but viewable. This a very good hotel in the budget range. I have already stayed here several times.
This was already my fifth stay at the Naren Palace. Remarkaby, nearly all the people working there have been employed for quite a long time. This is in my experience a very good sign. This time I was given room 406 at the corner. From my balcony I could see the boats out on the sea. There was a fridge, a coffee maker and a lot of other amenities which made my stay a pleasant one. Unfortunately I collapsed in the second night and ended up with a compression of L1. The hotel called a doctor who visited me four times in three days. The hotel driver and one security man took me to the hospital to get an X-ray taken. Without them I would have been completely lost. Because movement caused a lot of pain I was served breakfast and dinner in my room. I have to add that rooms here are much larger than you would expect in this price range. There was also a flat screen TV set, but I never used it. It was far more interesting to watch cats, dogs and monkeys on the roofs and the street life complete with ear cleaners, small shops and the many children playing their simple games. When I paid my bill, it turned out that the hotel charged me only a small sum for the use of hotel car and driver. Ultimately, I can really recommend the Naren Palace and its crew. …
Big NO. Avoid this hotel. The manager of the Naren Palace Hotel is very rude and low class person. He doesn't know how to treat its customers. Never book if you are travelling with family. I have heard that they are also calling prostitute in the hotel in the name of Spa service. They gave us a room for which door lock was not working properly. Every time, we had to call their staff to open the door and they broke the key while trying to open the door. Ladies and kids were outside of the room standing in wet condition for 30 minutes. The key was broken by their staff and they were asking to pay penalty for breaking the key. They didn't even care that we were wet and waited 30 mins to open the door. The reception guy was shameless and didn't have the patience to ask for money. We had a big argument with them specially with their illiterate manager who was always watching porn movies in his mobile. We were asked to enter the room from backside of the window and all that are recorded in Hotel camera. At a point, I felt to call local police for misbehaving with us. The Hotel of the manager was so rude that he even told that "your father gave me this job", this is what their class was. The cost of the food was too high even higher than Kolkata and Mumbai Hotel. Room were okay as per the budget. The location is not that good. You had spent huge money to reach Puri main market and Golden Sea Beach.…
But the rest only four. Tucked down a dirty alley, the Hotel courtyard is a total contrast, clean and tidy. The friendly hotel hound, who we named Red for the duration of our stay, was waiting for us with a great doggy welcome, as did the desk staff, although to a much lesser extent. The hotel, as with most cheaper properties in India, needs a lot of TLC to regain its 2* status, but the rooms, while dated, were still elegant, reasonably clean, large, and comfortable. Bathroom was fairly clean too, with plenty of hot water. The A/C was no longer functional, but the fan kept the room bearable. Breakfast room in the basement, grotty (but not as bad as the beach!) pool on the roof, dodgy elevator, and rooms unpredictably numbered, kind of round this place off. OK for a couple nights, in an otherwise unbelievably filthy destination town.…
if you are planning for a hotel to just sleep in ,then go for this. the gloss and shine has faded, nothing has been done for upkeep, result is a sad looking hotel with faded walls, sheets, and towels. food is good but they have a few specific items only.if you even ask for anything else ...they advise you to eat outside. very irresponsible travel desk. obviously anyone who travels to puri, does so for sightseeing, not to sit in their rooms. when we requested taxi for sightseeing, they simply said they are not available as it's peak season. surprisingly we were able to book our taxi from a travel agent right outside the hotel for reasonable price, which means they are freely available. this callous attitude of hotel is disgusting. they provided taxi pick up from airport, after that they shrugged it off as if it's not their responsibility. I think tripadvisor should remove such hotels from their listing as, we expect a certain degree of service if listed in this website. …
We were a group of 7 family members who had the misfortune of experiencing this rather, ancient, difficult to approach and terribly maintained hotel in Puri. Although, the facility is located in the town area, the approach road is narrow and difficult to manoeuvre especially if you have a bigger vehicle. The rooms, though spacious are ancient and the bathrooms are way below those of a hygienic one.We do not feel like touching the hand showers, faucets or even the toilet flush. The breakfast rooms are located in the basement and the menu and food quality is below par.
