I stayed in the hotel with my family from 2nd may to 8th may 2023. The location could not have been better, perhaps the best location in Puri if you want an uncrowded beach right in front of your balcony. You can lie on your bed watching the waves, but for that you have to rent a premium front sea facing room. However room size is a bit small for three persons and there is hardly any space left after the extra bed is put in. The room staff are friendly and housekeeping is consistently engaged to keep the premises clean. The food is a bit overpriced considering the hotel. However big letdowns is authentic Oriya food is not available in the hotel and they concentrate solely on Bengali cuisine. The other minus is the "could not care less" attitude of the front desk staff. Though not downright rude they will definitely not make you feel welcome. Very good well maintained hotel. Little far from main market but still it is well recommended. Best is their breakfast spread. Room service food was okok. Good place to relax and enjoy the cascading waves of bay of Bengal.

EXCELLENT HOTEL IN A QUITE LOCATION. I visited Puri on 6-10 May 2023 and stayed in a Ac Deluxe room with side sea view. My stay in this hotel has been excellent. Talking about location the hotel located in new marine drive beside the lighthouse is an ideal place to stay and is away from the maddening crowd of Swargadwar where you can get more peace. The beach is just across the road and the beach is much cleaner than the beach in Swargadwar. The beach is also less disturbed by hawkers. The room was very comfortable and the side balcony gave a panoramic view of the sea. Regarding food the complimentary breakfast was adequate with changed menu every day. We had all our lunch/dinner (A la carte) in the hotel restaurant and taste was very good. Quality and quantity of food including fish and meat was very good and prices moderate and as expected for such quality. As for the services and staff behavior the services were prompt and staff behaved very well and were helpful. If I come again to Puri I would surely be staying in this hotel again. I have seen a lot of negative comments about this hotel is some travel websites but trust me they are all bogus and possibly written with a bad intent. Thanks S.K. Dasgupta…

We have been to Puri many times like others and stayed at many good hotels, mostly located at Chakra Tirtha Road. This time we stayed at Sonar Bangla located at New Marine Drive and had an unique experience. This hotel is probably most close to the Sea as the arterial marine drive road in frond of the hotel, curves closely towards sea here and goes almost through the sea beach and the hotel being on the road itself comes also close to the sea and stands almost on the beach barring this road in between. As a result one can enjoy the sea very closely staying in the sea facing upper floor rooms of this hotel. Rooms are comfortable and the balcony overlooking the sea is precious for tourists. Wall to wall glass door allows boarders to have a panoramic view of the sea and the beach even while lying on the bed. Food is good.as usual and everything is professionally maintained. Only negative side is tourists should be mentally prepared to check out at 7 am as they think all tourists travel to and from Puri by train only. We had a flight back home which was supposed to depart at 4 pm from Bhubaneswar. Therefore we had visited Lingaraj Temple at Bhubaneswar after leaving hotel at 7 which is very worth visiting heritage temple with rich historical background.…

The hotel rooms and amenities are wonderful, and it is difficult to find another hotel at such a low rate with comparable quality. However, the hotel staff and food leave much to be desired. The receptionists and hotel staff appear to be constantly expecting tips, and the attempt at making South Indian dishes is a direct insult to the authentic cuisine. Furthermore, upon departure, the hotel staff behaves poorly by making guests feel unwelcome and rushed. The hotel staff lacks basic manners and fails to demonstrate respect towards their visitors. It is important to note that the hotel staff repeatedly looks at guests for tips a day before your departure.

This was the most Filthy disgusting hotel I have ever seen. Sheets filthy. Unfriendly staff. Large gaps between door and frame. Nothing like the pictures advertised. Very noisy place. We did not even stay the night. It should not even be rated any stars. It’s like a dharmshaala

My experience staying at your hotel is bad I will mention it pointwise. 1. I took a suite which cost me around 7000/_ and you don't provide bottled water. 2. Breakfast experience is very bad, as you are providing very limited breakfast limited to PURI, SABJI, EGG, AND BREAD, you are giving banana cut into pieces which are very unhygienic. Above all, we have to wait to get a LUCHEE for 15 minutes 3. Please improve your bathroom where there are no proper shelve to keep our clothes and towels.

The hotel is in very good location view from the room is awosome. Setbacks 1. Highly overpriced@4000.00 2. Cleanliness is a big issue 3. Breakfast was horrible 4. Rules like you can't bring outside food is not acceptable you should mention this during booking. 5. After coming back from sea bath you need to climb the stair. 6. Shower room you need to use after coming back from sea is completely unhygienic. One shouldn't stay here if he have other alternatives.
