This is a tastefully done up place, very centrally located, but in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is looked after by a resourceful caretaker, the genial JP, whose assistance and advice makes the stay more comfortable and homely. Recommended

Stayed here for 3 days and would Highly recommend for family or couples travelling to shillong.. great service given by JP by every means.. that is the X factor of this property.. JP ensured we get the best experience during our stay . From timely service to food during late hours, he did not disappoint us . We are pleased we chose the place for our stay. Mr. Chowdhary (the owner) is also a very humble guy and he ensured all our feedback was taken positively during our stay.

In short - it's like a home away from home.

Thanks JP for making our trip awesome.

We visited Quintin Enclave, a group of four, and I have to say the welcome was really warm. The staff there was extremely cordial, very helpful with everything. The food was home cooked, warm and delicious. They also helped us find cabs for our travel, and a different hotel room for a night when everywhere was booked. They went out of their way with the generosity. I have to say that it's worth every penny you pay for the place. The location is beautiful, very accessible, safe and homely. You will definitely want to go back.

Really love this place - very cosy & I felt like I was in a ski chalet with the beautiful timber floors, walls & ceiling. The room was very clean & comfortable. I was delighted to have a kettle & pretty cups & saucers to make my own tea. The place has such a cosy feel I was tempted to eat in which I very rarely do. Great that there is this option after long travel days & similarly liked that breakfast is served in the room. The location is unbeatable - really close to everything without being on a main road so it's quiet. I'm a light sleeper but slept peacefully until 8am which is a rare treat for me (especially in India!).

Staff are also lovely & accommodating as is the owner.

Actually can't fault this place for what they are trying to achieve - very well priced (I got a last minute deal online) for quality, location & service.

The room accommodates 4 people. The room is well planned with all modern equipments such as electric kettle, large screen LED TV with HD satellite connection, stand fan, geyser, etc.
The location is good. Its close to Police Bazaar, the centre of Shillong, still away from the hustle to give you a sound sleep.

The breakfast is not worth talking about though. Overall, I will recommend a stay at this place.

We stayed here from 11 Jun 2017 to 15 Jun 2017.We took an AC taxi from the Guwahati airport and that cost us Rs 2,400 plus another Rs 300 extra to the hotel as most of the taxis will drop you in police bazaar only if you don't inform and pay extra. Non AC taxi is Rs 2,000. AC and non AC taxis may charge differently do you better confirm before you hire even in Shillong. The road from Guwahati to Shillong is very good and you can see the beautiful Umiam lake on your way to Shillong.
Quinton enclave is part of a multi storied house and has 2 rooms. 1 large and 1 small. Both have bunk beds and a complete wooden interior which gives it a nice feel though a little dingy. The location is off the main road and a walk from police bazaar. The road leading to the hotel is pretty narrow and goes down sharply making it difficult for any taxi driver you may rent from a place like Guwahati to negotiate the road. We got off on the main road which was a one way and called the care taker who came and helped with the luggage.
There are 2 caretakers - JP and Thapa who while being helpful may sometimes come across as indifferent. JP takes care of the housekeeping, lunch/Dinner while Thapa addresses the breakfast but you have to inform them well in advance. We didn't get the breakfast that we asked for the first day but was fine from next day on. Dhruva, the owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about the places to visit, shop etc. We rented the car for site seeing for 3 days from a contact that JP knew. Driver's name was Rintu and he was very nice and helpful and never rushing during the site seeing trip. Lets you take your time and stop as many times and wherever you want. Also has good knowledge about the areas. His number is 80147 04954 and he can arrange bigger or smaller vehicle as per your need and group size.
If you plan to go during monsoon, make sure you have strong umbrellas that can withstand the wind or raincoats for yourself and the kids. Its beautiful during monsoons though you should start early as it gets dark very soon and most of the site seeing places on the 2 routes mentioined below are at a height and there could be dense fog/clouds and strong breeze and rain.
A Cherrapunjee trip will cost 2500 (approx.) for a whole day trip (9-hours approx.) in a Swift Dzire or equivalent car. There's an option by bus too, and that costs 350 per head.
On a separate route, trip to Mawlynnong (cleanest village), Root Bridge, Dawki (Bangladesh border) will cost 3000 (Approx) for a whole day trip (10-11 hours approx.). A city sight-seeing trip will cost approximately 1500 (4-5 hours).
Shillong view point which is one of the tourist spots form where you can see the city is inside the Air Force base and there is a token system in place to allow 50-60 cars at a time. Our driver informed this and also mentioned that you may have to start and reach the main entrance gate at 8 am as there could be a long queue of vehicles due to the token system. We loved the drive to the Air Force base as the weather was very pleasant.
