A landmark property in Shillong - the Scotland of the East, with newly renovated rooms, plenty of banqueting and conference options in a super location with breathtaking views. One of the only places in North East India to serve continental dishes which are still done well. A great experience

Most travel apps were listing it very high. Found the place very nicely located with good interiors. Rooms are decently priced as compared to other options in the city and you get good value for money. Food is not that great, explore other options in city. Overall staff and service levels are quite high.

Good heritage hotel. Safe and service is very good. Well maintained rooms with major and required facilities. Restaurant foods are of mixture tastes; few tasted good and few were average. In a word good destination for relaxation.

We have stayed in Pinewood Hotel, Shillong for 4 nights in May 2016. We booked 2 double deluxe rooms for 3 adults and one kid which was actually more than what we needed. The rooms are very spacious. This is probably the oldest and best hotel in Shillong. The 19th century decor of the rooms are maintained along with the... More

Travelled with husband and stayed for 4 days.. very close to the Ward lake and a very serene location. surrounded with pine trees..perfect for relaxation. The entire hotel is made of Pinewood..hence you get a typical colonial feel..However the rooms are old and the furniture need attention and replacement. If you are are looking for a WOW view from the... More

We were staying at Pine wood for 5 nights from 15th September. Pleasantly surprised about this lovely hotel in Shillong. Food was good. Breakfast could be improved. Their room service charges of 20 % more over the entire bill - is too high. People are friendly. Cleaniliness is commendable. Overall a pleasant stay.

Went with parents & family to this awesome Pinewood Hotel, what feeling! So traditional & comfortable with soothing sights & maintenance. Best was the restaurant & it's economical food, though in Shillong couldn't thought eating out once. Mouth watering and I wish I can visit again. Always full, advance booking is advisable and please don't forget to walk down to... More

We went to Shillong for a family and friends get-together and stayed in Pinewood hotel. The ground area is very large and beautifully maintained. The dining hall was cool. We enjoyed the group dinners and the complimentary breakfasts together, and it was fun. The hotel staffs are also friendly and helpful. However, the food was okay and nothing special.

Been to their restaurant twice. Baked fish is excellent. Ambiance in the bar is decent. The chef came to our table and whipped up a local pork dish much to our delight. Booze is inexpensive compared to kolkata. Good experience. One word of caution - The bar is not a no smoking zone
