We have been to Adamo the resort for one night and faced a multitude of issues. Firstly we booked a twin bed and there said there were ‘no twin beds’. Secondly when we requested to take a few buffet bits to the room we were denied. Thirdly, after asking multiple times for an extra blanket because the room got too cold no one came to help. After which I went to the reception myself and as you can see had to carry the blanket myself. There was no staff at the reception and the watchman had gave the blanket to me. Above all this, the management was rude and did not reply to any calls and enquiries with patience. Would not recommend this hotel! I’ve been in hotels much cheaper than this in matheran and the stay has been much better and more welcoming.

We went to stay at Adamo resort , Matheran for 2 nights and 3 days. The stay was absolutely pleasant, the rooms were nicely kept (decor). The Food available at the resort was exceptionally good. Whether it's Veg or Non-veg. The only thing is that the standard in Matheran hotels is they charge you for water(mineral) and there rule is you only get one bottle for a day (mineral bottle) and even if you want to have other Normal water there HK staff will deny service if you are not having charged water bottle. You need to get to the restaurant or at fron desk and get the water filled on your own from the water dispenser availed for general guest.

After doing considerable (online) research on the various accommodation options in Matheran, we finally settled on Adamo Resort. We were family of 3 with a small child and stayed there for 2 nights. We stayed in Regency Deluxe room. Regency Deluxe rooms are on the upper floors with balcony and better than Regent Deluxe rooms in terms of privacy. Considering most of the good hotels in Matheran are expensive, if you book Adamo Resort well in advance through any of the online booking portals, you will get it at a good rate. My recommendation would be to opt for at least one meal (lunch/dinner) package there since the food is good. We opted for breakfast + dinner option since we didn't want to struggle for food early in the morning or in the night after sightseeing. Rooms are as shown on their website or on the travel portals. They are spacious and very clean. Basic toileteries and 2 litres of water is offered complimentary. We visited the resort over the long weekend in Nov'21 and the resort was full. It's a family resort with most occupants being young parents with small kids or joint families with kids or families with senior citizens. The resort has a family vibe and children will like it here with a decent play area, swimming pool incl baby pool (note: Swimming costume is mandatory for all incl. kids..you can rent the costume for a day at nominal rates at the resort) and good area to run around. Service was prompt in our case (we didn't order food) and staff polite. Checkin is at 11am and checkout at 9-9.30 am which we thought was too early. Breakfast is from 8am to 10am and dinner from 8pm to 10pm. Resort had a magic show on Saturday night and it was enjoyable. Once you are in the resort, you will feel relaxed and comfortable. We did not want our trip to be hectic and had a mix of outdoor and indoor experiences, so we could actually enjoy the facilities in the resort. Location is good...Horse ride will cost around Rs. 100 from the station to the hotel (100 rs is the minimum). It's easily walkable (15 mins time with small child till the station). Sightseeing points are enroute the resort. There is a horse stand just outside the resort and there is horse sightseeing rate chart placed there. It's usually open for bargaining. Cons are: Resort charges full adult tariff for kids above 3 years which is unfair since such small kids do not sleep alone neither eat a complete meal. Lighting in the room is dim. There was no mirror in the room except in the bathroom. Overall, would recommend Adamo the resort for its location, food, facilities and quality of rooms. P.S. you cannot enjoy the balcony at all since monkeys are around all day. However while using all other facilities in the resort, the staff ensures that they do not come near the guests.

We stayed at Adamo the resort for 4 days in October. The room we were given was spacious, clean and beautiful. The best thing about Adamo has to be the food! Every meal was hot and delicious and the service was fast, servers were very polite and were generous with the servings! The resort looks especially beautiful with the night lights! Would definitely recommend this resort to anyone planning to visit Matheran. It is close to the rly station and the farthest tourist points are also not more than 2-2.5 kms. Horses are available right outside the resort Their game room has good quality carrom sets and table tennis. The poolside swings are the best for relaxing and chatting and just chilling. A must stay in Matheran!

I stayed in Adamo the Resort in Sept-2021 with my wife and 2 year old kid. My experience was very good with the resort. it has excellent space with lot of greenery in house and a swimming pool. Room is average, it lacks some basic facilities like kettle, fridge, in Regent room, but staff was courteous enough to provide hot water whenever required. rooms has very good private sitting space outside which gives excellent view of the whole property. They also have the best food quality in the whole Matheran. I am a vegetarian and tried couple of restaurants outside, the quality which resort provide is the best there is. I did not face any issue in feeding my 2yr old kid. They are little more inclined to Gujarati taste but i liked the quality and taste a lot. Resort also has the best location of all the hotels and is the most happening and lively resort there. they also have a disco, which can be used by big families to enjoy. overall i liked the stay a lot and it was very refreshing and pleasant trip.

Arrival was smoothly done. Room was given on top floor in right corner, due to which I had to shift the room. Second room was good, but issue with pest control. Food was too good, as it was pure veg, still we loved it. Cleanliness was maintained, as it was raining - staff was always in cleaning mode. Restaurant need to be pest control - as saw pest on tables and side table. Staff need to be wear gloves, mask, as. All of them were not in porper masked. Checkout was smoothly done. I will say, if you visit the place u should visit to hotel. As it's nice. Clean. Area is specious and staff is always there for help. Cleanliness 3.5/5 Room area 5/5 Bathroom 5/5 Food 5/5 Room service 5/5 Management 5/5 Restaurant cleaning 4/5 Overall 4/5 Few more thing to share, to which I will mention to management separately. Cheers and good luck.

During this covid times, Adomo is one of the hotels who have taken utmost care on safety, sanitization, distancing and cleanliness in their rooms, dining area and premises. Staff is vaccinated and go 1 step ahead to support the guests. Mr Parvez was 1 such staff who guided us well. Food is super delicious and good quality. Dining area was sanitized frequently. We could stay in Adomo without any hesitation or worry in mind. All the best Adomo team and thanks a lot.

i've stayed at both the adamo village & adamo the resort, besides the byke an a couple of others. so am not a stranger to matheran or the hotels. comparatively, although the resort is supposed to be an upgrade on the village, going by the service, right from the reception, the resort feels like a downgrade. i remember while checking in at the village, we were offered a cool refreshing drink - and this is a practice in all decent hotels across matheran - except for adamo resort... at the resort, we had to litelary ask for a glass of water. the room we were assigned to was on the ground floor. do not take these rooms, and i will tell you why in a minute.(privacy, read the cons).. i requested that i be given a room on the floor above but that was rejected a the reception citing the resort was full (which in fact was untrue, just 3-4 rooms were occupied). cons: inflexible front desk zero privacy, if you are unfortunate to be assigned a room on the ground floor, you cannot keep the curtains open. (sure you can draw curtains but there is close to no light in the rooms) close to no light in the room, they have the depressing dim yellow lights in the room, it gets extremly depressing with those lights - there is not one white light, makes you feel like you are staying in some cheap lodge. on requesting the management/front desk to look into this or change the room, again they were uncooperative saying the dim lighting is managements decision. no warm water for bath. they have warm water coming only for an hour in the morning - so you got to take bath when its convenient for them - not you. they provide water for you when you request, like we did and they provided us hot water in a bucket, unfortunately the second day when we wanted to have a warm bath, we were told "that due to the number of guests, they are busy and can't provide the hot water"... its ugly that they charge you this much and hold you to ransom, just because they have other guests. if you are assigned a room on the ground floor - consider your privacy hijacked and stay ruined. pros: located in the market (at the end of the market road, all the same its convenient) spacious property good size pool decent meals good polite housekeeping staff my rating >>> 1 out of 5 . .. avoidable cause of the inflexible front desk, the zero privacy on the ground floors, lack of lighting in the rooms, no hot water when you want to have a bath.
