Had been there for our anniversary for a couple of days. Property is excellent and large , well planned with a big swimming pool in the centre. Location is away from the bustle of the market at the same time not too far off. We had booked a executive deluxe room having a pool facing balcony. But it is useless as u cannot open your glass door and sit there due to the monkey menace. So pool view or no view doesn't really matter. The room was comfortable and large enough for family of 3. The crowd is mostly gujrati and the hotel cuisine, activities etc are catered to the crowd. So if your palate seeks a different taste this one isn't for you. Regarding the food ,it is decent but the spread is limited and needs to be managed properly.. the refilling of rotis, dessert were painfully slow and you loose interest with time.. Was fairly satisfied with the stay but would not go again.

Very good place for a family holiday. Good food, fully veg. The staff is specially very helpful. Mr. Kishor, who manages the resort, especially, needs a mention… extremely hospitable and helpful. My son fell ill and he helped me with the doctor and medication. Even the staff were very willing to help us out without hesitation. The resort is spacious. Evening activities like magic show, live music and disco, made it fun for the whole family.

The food here no doubt is very good. But the hospitality is worse. People here takes things very lightly if we complained about the room. We booked a Villa for 4 days including all the meals. This place is quite pricey. We were given a villa full of mosquitoes and houseflies. The AC had a foul smell. Our first was wasted figuring how we will sleep. Next day they shifted us to another Villa where TATA SKY was not recharged. The place is not cleaned one can see dirty diapers and spider webs all around. I will never go here. The Manager shouted at my family when we approached him. We were not respected at all. We paid so much we expect a good quality stay.

Mr. Rahul, the Manager is ill-mannered and does not know how to speak to guests. We had booked a pool side villa for the new years, and we faced problems since the time we stepped in. The check-in was done an hour after we arrived, we were told that the villa is being cleaned and sanitized. When we entered the room, the room on the top floor was stinking, like something had died. The drains were choked and there were several insects on inside the villa. When we complained about these issues, the Manager told us that we were the ones who have created the issues, since no one before us had complained. We spent a whole day trying to fix the issues, after which we were offered a change of villa. However, the Manager just kept adding to our pain. He created a scene in their dinner area, when we asked him to compensate is for the day spoiled. He shouted at my Parents and spoiled the entire experience. It's a beautiful property, but, this guy "The Manager" is really ill-mannered. Others members of the staff were helpful and courteous.

Not satisfied at all. I would have rated it negative but that option is not available. Took more than 5 hours just to recharge Tata Sky. Food was also not upto the mark, was not able to understand whether water was mixed in milk or milk was mixed in water. Worst staff who are not willing to understand your concerns. Instead they tell you very rudely to not create SCENE even after customer is politely talking

It's a great hotel, probably one of the oldest in matheran. The rooms are okay. Could have been cleaner. And yes keep in mind they don't have toothpaste in the room so make sure you carry it with you if you choose to stay there! But by far the best thing about our stay was the food. It was one of the best vegetarian food I had. You can tell they make it with special care. And you can't beat the variety as well.Location wise it's about 20 mins walk from the train station so if you plan to walk there then pack light.

The service is extremely slow. High price compared to the amenities. Playing amenities, broken badminton rackets. When asked to give new rackets did not give us for 3 days and the time of check out they showed us the new rackets they already had. The staff kept lying to us till the last date that they don't have new rackets. When we denied paying the extras at the check out due to horrible service, they mentioned they had the rackets but didn't give us due to their internal staff fights. We came here thinking it's the best property to stay in Matheran, however it is not as they do not know what is customer service. The local staff are polite but due to their internal issues we had to suffer.

It was our second stay (last one was 2 years ago) and were very excited to take a relaxing family break after lockdown, but rude behaviour of senior staff (at reception and restaurant) and sub-standard service dampened our spirits and stay. Support and housekeeping staff were quite helpful. Few examples- arrogant behaviour during check-in, we had requested some arrangements prior to our arrival and it was agreed by them but they forgot to arrange, bad smelling towels, it was mentioned 24 hours service, but kitchen remains closed till 8 am, no tea/coffee in morning or evening in room, sports equipment (badminton rackets) were broken, they gave us a worn out shuttlecock etc.
