Hey guys! I am back with my another review without wasting more time let me jump straight to my culinary experience in khan restaurant in Matheran. Food quality : Average Food taste. : Average Value for money : 2 out 10 Well good quality is average not so good I can say as we ordered chicken tandoori, sahi chicken kabab, chicken crispy and roti. Well coming towards tandoori chicken it was horrible it was so hard and rubbery to chew meat and it was seems as it was fried in oil rather than tandoor. Kabab was good but chicken crispy again horrible and roti as well as it was tasting little bit bitter in taste as dough was kept for more than hours and hours . Well final conclusion food is not worth as what they charge for and place ambience is also not so good. Guys upto u if u want to go or not in this there are many good restaurants in Matheran apart from this like Alaankar hotel is famous for chicken Angara must try dish and chicken crispy as well also their are other dish too can try & just bang opposite to Alaankar Suleiman biryani house is also famous for biryani best biryani in Matheran I can say and if u looking for wine and dine then diwardkar is good place.

We 4 family members visited Matheran on 28 Apr. I booked room in khan hotel on line. Room was nice with large open place in front. Hot water available through solar heater. Hot water is not provided in bathroom. Charges are very less.

I had booked a room via makemytrip.website, where I wasn't informed that police rules prohibit foreigners to be checked in at Hotel Khan. Arriving at the hotel the manager informed me clearly and very understandably. Henceforth, he and his team helped me very much with getting cancellation and refund with makemytrip and above all to find another hotel in Matheran. I recommend to contact Hotel Khan's manager in any case of open questions. A very professional and helpful management!

We had travelled to Matheran for the first time. At Neral station when we were looking for cab one person asked to wait for the CAB to be filled up.At that point Noaman informed us about the hotels available with him. We informed we would like to see it and book it. He told we will not find any hotel up there so he will give us the best rates with food. The pictures were okay okay.. and he quoted final price of Rs.3000/- along with food and AC. We had to pay the amount in cash at Neral only. when we reached we found the place dirty dingy and stinky, we complained. so he cleaned. but the room was still unclean. Blankets, pillow and bedsheet where all stinking. AC temp could not be reduced. Toilets where dirty. The food was also not good. the restaurant was stinky, Overall we had a horrible terrible experience at Khan Hotel. Our suggestion to all traveler's is to go to Matheran and look for Hotel. There are many clean and good hotels available. Do not book hotels in Neral.

I went with my friends from Mumbai by Train and we stayed for one night in Khan Hotel at Matheran.First of all We took train from Dadar Central line at evening 4:00PM ticket price is Rs=25 and we arrived at Neral Railway station around 6:00PM evening, then took taxi from Neral to Matheran Entry point it will take 30 minutes and fare is Rs=70 per person ,then Rs=50 fee for Matheran entry fee.We walked 3KM from Matheran Taxi Stand to Matheran Market and also there was other option like by hourse/hand pulling Rickshaw. There is a direct train is running between Neral to Matheran and by travelling this toy train you will be cherished by the beauty of the sceneric view of Matheran. We stayed in Khan hotel it was reasonable and average hotel. There are so many hotels available as per your budget you can book. For sight seeing i am recommended to all that "You have all taken a heavy breakfast before going out to sight seeing and enjoy your stay" The Louisa Point is very good for photo shoot as well sight seeing.Wish you all have a good stay at Matheran and Wish my review will help others. Note: Best time to Visit Matheran is July to February(Rainy & Winter Season)

I was in confusion after bad reviews whether I should choose this or not but my experience here was amazing. I talked to the manager Noaman there and He told me that this is totally new staff anf they have also renovated all rooms. Room quality was amazing and food was too damn good. Its location is also good in main market. It has big park in front of it. Its more than worth staying here.
