We were charged 1800 per head with free dinner and breakfast. The room was spacious and provided with 3 double beds. The bedsheet was not clean, bathroom's plumbing was not proper, sitout area was dirty and were not painted properly.Room service was poor actually no staffs were there for room service and they do not have a phone to call the reception. Food was average, pool was exelent, we din c DJ as we were in the market at that time. Overall experience was ok but could be a lot better if rooms were properly maintained...

Our expectation of this place was of a quaint calm place in middle of dense forests with some old architecture to enjoy. But it was not to be. The property is well located, but it needs a lot of maintenance. Service was good and the food was the best part. But I will give it a miss if I ever go to Matheran again.

We stayed here last week for 2 days. We took deluxe ac room towards road facing. They renovate all the rooms. Now the rooms become more specious and clean. Food is awesome . Staff is cooperative. At evening they arrange dj or magic show.swimming pool is also kept clean regularly by staff.

Had taken rooms behind the reception cabin, were not properly maintained. They hadn't made room ready for a proper check-in.No towels, bathroom fittings were found broken and rusted, very poor room service.Only stars for the food served, that was good.Otherwise not worth to have a pleasant stay.

I was here on 11/12 May. Following are points of review. Location : Excellent location. 5 minutes from station and also from Market. There are no near by resorts to this and hence gives a great experience. Roads to connect to points are near by. Property : Great expansive property with all possible amenities. Pool, Play Area, Relaxing Area. Though they have good number of rooms, it doesnt feel crowded. The dining area is also huge. Staff : Courteous staff, helped us in all possible ways and told the facts. They all agreed to bad conditions of rooms. Rooms : I had opted for deluxe ac room. This is where I had to cut 2 points. Probably shady rooms with dirty bathrooms. They werent cleaned properly. The toilet was leaking from multiple points. The room had signs of pest control. It showed termites active for quite some time. Room was very small in size. Food : Food was good and at a spicier side. But no complains about it. They should really work on room hygiene. It would earn them good points.

The stay was pleasant. However, hotel authority alloted Room 201 and 205 at the rare, garden side. Myself and wife stayed at 201 and it was nice stay. Although, my 13 year old son and mother in law occupied room 205. My mother in law reported the whitsle sound followed by the sound of payel. The incident was repeated nect night too. Although, I do nt believe in supernaturals, my mother in law acertained she heard the sounds many more times just outside room 205 and opened the door once, sound stopped but could not aee anything. However, I exoeruenced nothing at room 201.Food, toilets, staff service are good. Regards, Dr Tarakranjan GUPTA, Navi Mumbai

The hotel location is very GOOD with lots of greenary around and walkable distance to the Matheran station and the small Bazaar. Some outdoor and indoor games are available. The hotel arranges to hire horse to go round the view points in the hills. ( Please do hire a horse to go round the hills for a great experience ) Food is available which is Buffet type and also Alacarte. We preffered to eat outside from nearby bazaar restaurant which offered good cusine. The service was slow and BAD, as we had visited during a holiday season and could see only one person doing the rounds. The rooms offered to us (Male Sr. Citizen Friends) was a bit UGLY and we had no choice but to accept due to visiting the hotel late evening and had to leave next morning at 10am. We booked online thro travel app. and the price we paid was bit high for the quality of room offered.

We have booked the hotel for 3 nights for family of 2 Adult & 1 Child. Rates are reasonable. We got room number 203. Its huge room with basic facility. Food was good as usual. they provide both veg & non veg food. 2 Chicken dishes, 2 Veg,Veg starter, Dal, rice, papad, pickle, sweet dish, etc. There are indoor games available like table tennis, carrom & badminton. I found Swimming pool to be one of the best in matheran. Water was very cleaning and it was nicely maintained. I suggest to stay in hotel. Its close to market and they also have generator back up if in case power failure which is common in matheran.

I visited the hotel and paid over INR 3700 for the room for a night and it seemed like the place didnt give back what it promised for the price charged. The premise is huge but the rooms are poorly maintained. It took over an hour to get towels after asking 3 times and yet we got only 1 instead of two. Rooms are not very clean and the beds are fairly average. Wi-Fi is available which is good because Matheran mostly has no network on Airtel/Jio Sim cards. Service is sluggish and hence not very recommended. The games listed are also not available. Pool table is used for stacking mattresses. Carrom and TT are not available in "Rains"

I loved the location of the hotel, the service, food and ambiance but unfortunately the rooms themselves weren’t impressive. I had booked the deluxe rooms but they seemed distinctly average. This could be a great hotel if a little more care is given to the upkeep of the rooms.
