Naam bade aur Darshan chotte, we came here to have a beer, where glasses were not wiped properly, we asked for peanuts were the plates seems like it has been never washed ever, also have 4 dogs littering around the hotel premise’s
I went with my friends and we really liked it. Good, clean, spacious rooms. Centrally located. Excellent service. Would like to specially mention waiter Siddarth. Always serving with a smile and enthusiasm and going out of his way to serve. The Reception guys were also very courteous and polite. All in all a good experience.
Very bad quality of food....visited earlier today...they charged us 1100+ but the chicken and mutton was worse.we didn't even ate that food and complained about it but no one bothered about it.then we left the hotel by paying full amount without having the food...will say to everyone never visit there...they are just running after your money.....and not maintaining the quality.....
Divadkar is budget hotel located just opposite Matheran staion. Rooms are specious and clean. It can accommodate a family of four comfortably.Food is average and not recommended, staff is cooperative and service is quick. Not recommended if you love peace as you can hear train horns frequently. Rates vary on the day of visit. You can get a good deal if you book after reaching there.
Food was oily and taste was also bad. Have food outside instead of having here. Food was delayed. We already had our beer by the time snacks came. Chapatis were not freshly made. Dal was tasteless. Had veg handi also also worthless
At Rs,4500/night for family rooms , you should expect minimum facilities. There was no cupboard, no table in the room. Every time you have to tell the geyser to be switched on - which is done from the backyard. The food stuff is average but extremely expensive. A 1 liter bottle costs Rs.32- hell with MRP. Being the only restaurant with liquor permit, the footfalls are many till late evening. The most obnoxious experience was that of under invoicing. While I made the booking through booking.com at Rs.4500/- night plus GST, they provided GST invoice of much lower value, indicating that their intent is to cheat on tax payment. Should avoid this unscrupulous hotelier, is my advice
Exactly opposite matheran railway station. No need to walk and very near to the market. Rates are reasonable, they have a/c, non a/c rooms with capacity 2 to 8. One good thing is small room attached to main room which is good for family with young childrens, Rooms are clean, clean bedsheets, clean bathrooms. Running hot water in morning time. Good food, they have veg and non veg food with bar, taste is excellent, rates are reasonable. You can roam around till late neight, market is near. You can see mini train comming and going , good entertainment for kids. Staff is friendly and co operative, manager is also co operative. one suggestion to hotel is keep bar section at first floor and remove tables which is near to all rooms.otherwise you dont get privacy. Now railway is having regular service between dasturi point to matheran with 6 boggies at every hour. Good for those who dont want to walk and for S.citizens.…
Good Food & very near to main market area. Only disadvantage is, it has a open bar just on facing of family rooms so it might disturbing for family. You can accommodate 3-4 people in a single family room.
We didnt know this hotel had a bar attached to it.We were a group of 4 girl.Actually while booking we didnt know bout the bar nd resto.Rooms were ok.You have to be behind the staff to get anything. They are just not interested.Evening when we came back we could hear group of men sitting and driniking near the bar area.It was very awkward for us because it didnt seem like a family hotel.Men can adjust at such places. We could not even click pictures of the outside area because of this. While checking out we got out of the room and just left. Not suitable for family or girls.
Stayed in Room No.9 which is supposed to be the biggest room. This room has one more small room. In the main room, there are 3 beds (triple occupancy) and in the small room there are 2 beds. Main room is air-conditioned and the adjacent interconnecting room is non-aircondition. Has attached toilet, bathroom. Neat and clean for this category of rooms. They have a open, non-air-conditioned Bar and Restaurant. Food is average. Service is good. Rooms are always full during season. Very close to Matheran Railway Station and you can feel the tourist buzz in the hotel. It is centrally located in the Market Place. Good place to unwind.
