The lodge was decorated beautifully, the ginger bread house competition was fun to see. The wine shuttle tour was good, but a lot of the wineries don't allow you to bring in your own munchies. The bar at the lodge was hopping on Sat night...More
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff, accommodations, and buffet were very enjoyable. One reason we stay at The Lodge is because it is a convenient location to some of the wineries we visit. I can highly recommend The Lodge.
My wife and I had a very nice time. We had a great view of Lake Erie from our room.

This was our third visit to the Lodge. We enjoy the Wine Excursions and Horizon's Restaurant. We don't feel the rooms/amenities are the best value. They are priced as a luxury hotel with the amenities of a Holiday Inn. Definitely paying for the views. Staff...More

There is a paved trail along the lake into Geneva State Park, past the Marina with boats and the beach. About 2.25 miles long with benches near The Lodge for catching the sunset over the lake. Easy and flat if you are thinking of riding bikes or hiking with little ones.
There are also unpaved gravel/wild trails throughout the park- 3 levels of difficulty from easy to hard, I believe. The front desk has a map to keep you on track! This summer The Lodge is adding a zipline Canopy Tour and Challenge Course for adults and one for kids, so that may be something exciting to do as well.
Also, (I love your name!) there is an Irish pub open on weekends in summer that is family friends and serves Irish food, even kid friendly dishes. Hope this helps!
