I assume this is the best place to stay in Geneva, but it’s not gonna blow you away. Yes, it’s right on the lake, has ample parking, fire pits, conveniently located close to town... but it’s not a modern or chic resort. We came for...More
The lodge is a beautiful setting. Nice hiking trails nearby and close to many wineries. The rooms are very nice with comfortable beds. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We didn’t eat dinner or lunch at the restaurant, but the breakfast buffet was very good.
We stopped in at check-in time. Had to wait a few minutes but that was understandable.
We had a Lakeview room with a balcony. Our friends had a larger room with a fireplace but only a partial Lakeview. We visited in October and it was...More
We spent one night here and found the staff to be extremely helpful and the lodge to be very nice and what a beautiful view! The reason for the average rating was for the money we spent, I wasn't blown away and many area restaurants...More

There is a paved trail along the lake into Geneva State Park, past the Marina with boats and the beach. About 2.25 miles long with benches near The Lodge for catching the sunset over the lake. Easy and flat if you are thinking of riding bikes or hiking with little ones.
There are also unpaved gravel/wild trails throughout the park- 3 levels of difficulty from easy to hard, I believe. The front desk has a map to keep you on track! This summer The Lodge is adding a zipline Canopy Tour and Challenge Course for adults and one for kids, so that may be something exciting to do as well.
Also, (I love your name!) there is an Irish pub open on weekends in summer that is family friends and serves Irish food, even kid friendly dishes. Hope this helps!
