We stayed for 3 nights in Jan 2020 last week, booked room for our family of 5 adults and 2 kids. Two huge master bedrooms, with a hall and viewing gallery area. First let me tell you about our wonderful host Mr. Harish and his family who will make you feel at home and take good care of your each and every need. Their warmth and goodness showcases in each and every thing you experience. Right from the beautifully designed house, to the delicious breakfast and meals, both veg and non veg. The various preparations of chicken curries/biryani/fish fries/sabzis/ pandi curry/ sambhars/rasams/ sweets, the list is lengthy each of them are deliciously prepared and plenty. The room service is prompt and any additional requirements are promptly fulfilled. This centrally located Homestay is in the midst of a coffee plantation and surrounded by small forests as well. Provides a quite and cool atmospheric experience. For mobile connectivity you would need to have an Airtel connection though. All the major tourist destination are quite close from this location. We are very thankful to Mr Harish for making our stay so very endearing and eventful. Highly recommended for people looking for an experience mentioned above.

We, a family of 2A+2C stayed at Srinikethana for 2 nights. Wanted to try homestay for the first time and we are truly happy that Srinikethana was our first pick. Its an understatement to call it a homestay since it easily beats many mediocre resorts. Property owner Harish brother has spared no effort (and money) in providing the best of services to the guests, be it for creating the lovely ambience, friendly staff and amazing homely food. Felt really great when he didn't charge us for a dish he felt (without us complaining) is not upto his satisfaction - a total non-business kind of attitude. The well maintained pool would have been heavenly if it were complimented with a heating arrangement to complete the Coorg experience. By the way many top notch hotels in Coorg don't have heated pools - we checked.
Taking inspiration from a bitter hotel stay experience, Harish bhai has gone great lengths in visualizing, conceptualizing and building the project. Unlike many build and forget properties, his efforts are continuously on for maintaining, improving and expanding. His personal touch is there in every aspect of the stay be it cleanliness, tour recommendations, travel arrangements, nearby coffee plantation visit, camp fire, house wine recommendation etc., so much so that it pained while leaving Coorg, promising to surely return to Srinikethana another day.
Tail end : While sipping his lovely housewine and drafting this review Harish bhai had called to check if we have reached our destination safely. Another 'first' to add to the many first's in one stay. Absolutely mesmerizing !!!

First of all a big thanks to our host Harish sir, for being so kind and genuine person. We friends were staying from past 3 days and unfortunately feeling bad that we are leaving today but will make sure we come back soon to this paradise. This place is really awesome to chill and make some amazing memories.
Biggest thanks to all the people behind preparation of food which was really awesome, fantastic, delicious and many more, just falling short of praises and words. All the helpers were so genuine and helpful that it never felt like we are living in some other place, instead felt like our home. During this pandemic period our host and every people behind made sure the place is hygienic and very much safe with all the necessary precautions been taken care off.
Guys i would definitely suggest this place. Come and visit, stay here and just feel the heaven on earth😍
Once again thanks Harish sir, will meet you soon😊😊

This place that I visited was just Wow. Initially when we were planning to go on a trip to Madikeri, we were looking for nice places to stay there. We were 12 in number and with little ones around we were in search of a cozy and comfortable place. That's when we came across this, "Sriniketana".
Though images were mesmerizing and attention drawing, it wasn't priced exuberantly. We booked a slot for respective families for 3 days and started our journey towards the destination. It was afternoon when we got there and the actual place of stay was even nicer than images. We were welcomed by Sowmya sister and her husband. They called us before our time of arrival and checked on the preferred recipes for lunch.
What you get to see there?
As soon as we entered we got to see
Artificial water sources and antique pieces of religious importance.
A large and spacious swimming pool, one dedicated for children too. Camp fire place, out-door dining area, swings, garden and flowers.
Later we got into our respective rooms... It was not an individual room. It was rather a house. The place was welcoming with great wall paintings, a swing outdoor, antique pieces, decorative things, lavish furniture, sofa sets, dedicated bar counter.. the list goes on .what more could anyone ask for .....!!!
As soon as we arrived the food was served hot. It was delicious and yummy as it was prepared by Sowmya sister at home.
Within the vicinity of this home stay we got to visit a dam, hanging bridge and some natural water sources.
We got into the pool in the evening.. which was well maintained. Post that we all got to enjoy the fire camp, as there is a roof over the fire camp place the weather would not hamper. We all were served with hot, finger licking snacks at the outdoor dinning area.. The weather was pleasant when we visited. Cool breeze, dim and colourful lights around, with family and friends beside .. it was a cloud nine moment...!!!
I personally thank Sowmya sister and Chandranna for the support rendered during our stay. We would love to visit the place again in the coming years and would strongly recommend the same to people looking for a safe and an affordable place to stay in Madikeri.

Food & ambience was good. Room services were very prompt. Introduction of bon fire barbecue & swimming pool will certainly help in value addition to this place. Candle light 🕯️ dinner was really awesome & that made our day. Availability of Royal enfield bike is also appreciated.
Lastly arrangements of good drivers at reasonable prices was a good policy as we were initially contemplating hiring tourist vehicles from Bangalore or mysore. However we are happy we hired tourist vehicles recommended by Sriniketana home stay as the drivers were well aware of the tourist spots & knew the routes well.
We will definitely recommend Sriniketana home stay to others.

I'm not easily impressed, but the fact that I'm writing this review, is a testimony of the excellent experience I had at Sriniketana Homestay during my recent family trip to Coorg. I have stayed in homestays before and most of them are pretty commercialized. But the experience we got at Sriniketana was a class apart. Right from our arrival, the experience was a delight. The host Mr. Harish is a kind & humble gentleman who is eager to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We were greeted and welcomed by him personally at our arrival. The room was crystal clean and was sanitized before our arrival. The quality of the interior and the taste with which the property has been maintained speaks volumes about the personal attention the host pays in its upkeep. If there is one thing that I dread about traveling anywhere, it is the food that you get. But the food here was homely and quite delicious and I didn't have to worry about feeling bloated after eating. It was my wife's birthday and Mr. Harish was quick to guide me to the best bakery in the town to surprise her with a cake. On top of that, the pool side dinner with food specially prepared for the occasion was a lovely personal touch. We enjoyed every minute spent on the property. Too bad we did not carry our swimming costumes due to which we missed using the pool. At the time of departure as well, the host came to see us off personally. I could go on and on, but let me just stop here by saying "we will soon revisit with a bigger group to experience the wonderful hospitality of Sriniketana again".

We had booked Srinikethana Homestay based on quite a few reviews and we were delighted that we did so. Right from the point of booking to our check-out the experience has been nothing less than welcoming. The owner Mr. Harish is a gentleman who does not hesitate to go out of his way to provide that extra experience for his guests. We were really touched by his gesture to order a customised cake for our daughter. The food over there is an additional positive - sumptuous, clean and tasty (though a bit on the spicier side). The attenders over there who kept serving us were equally very courteous and affable. Mr. Harish values his guests and is quite sensitive to their needs and concerns and is always available for any help, with a warm smile. Though at a personal level, I had aspired for a homestay deep within a plantation setup, the overall experience at Srinikethana more than made up for it. I would definitely recommend this warm and great homestay for travellers to Coorg.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Srinikethana Homestay. At the outset I would like to highlight that the hospitality offered by Harish and Soumya was amazing. We didn’t feel anything was missing as everything was available. Rooms were awesome and very clean. The sitting area outside provides you with a serene experience in night as the surrounding is extremely calm. Talking about food, this was the key highlight of our stay. Firstly home cooked food on a vacation is a treat and to top it up delicious and full of taste makes it even more relishing. All in all it’s a brilliant property with no issues.
