We had been to Hoysala for a weekend gateway and we had a great time. I must mention few amazing things of this place. As soon as you reach the place, right from the entrance, the staff welcomes you warmly with folded hands and Namaste. They then guide you to the reception where they welcome you with kukum and flowers. The authentic ethnic feels. We then waited at the reception, oh not the regular wait. We were given the welcome drink and at most hospitality. We need proceeded with the formalities at the reception. The warm staff then guided us to our room. We loved the room, the second we saw it. Our room was beautiful. Just as we saw in the pictures. Maybe more than that. Shoutout to some of the staff members whoc helped us:- Lithin, Jayakumar, Deepa, Mamtha, Manjula, Preethi, Pooja. The food was amazing. Our stay included breakfast, lunch, Hi-Tea and dinner. All of it, was delicious. You get so many varieties. The food is the authentic Indian cuisine. The staff at the restaurant are also so friendly, kind and helpful. We enjoyed the dinner while we listened to man sing Retro Bollywood songs. It was beautiful. Next morning, the breakfast was served to us in the banana leaf. Again, the varieties were a lot. While leaving, we again had a small farewell Aarti done to us, kukum and bangles given to the ladies. Summarising it all : Stay : 5/5 Food : 5/5 Environment: 5/5 Children friendly : 5/5 Staff : 5/5 Hospitality: 5/5 It’s totally worth it! 💯…

Wonderful resort with full of greenery, peace, positive vibes.. Rooms - lively and comfortable.. Food - soooo yummy, served with affection in banana leaf Staff - they are the reason for all above, superb hospitality and care which makes you feel like home. Would surely visit again with family.
This is an Excellent hotel. You really can’t go wrong by staying here. Most attentive and friendly staff ever! Very good overall ambience… the restaurant offers excellent Indian food. And for our daughter they specially prepared a pasta. They have a bar licence, which is also nice.
The Hoysala Village Retreat is not your typical holiday destination with must do tourist spots, cliched menus and frivolous activities. It is an immersive and soulful experience where the guests can deep dive into a forgotten heritage and be a part of the rituals and traditions which defined our more grounded ancestors. The seamless integration with nature and genuine warmth of the staff further delights the senses and rejuvenates not just the tired body but also does wonders for the constantly churning mental state of the average city dweller! No review would be complete without mentioning the passion and care with which the owner, Mr Aluva nutures the resort and interacts with all his guests in a true manifestation of atithi devo bhava.. Special thanks to Preethi, Pooja, Jaikrishna, Manjula and Manjula II!!…
The place where I visited was extraordinary and mind blowing.. No any negative comments/ feedback’s against the resort and also the staff. Specially I would to Thank Mamtha and Jayakumar for spending their precious time with us …. The way how staff’s treated us was totally Traditional … Place was Peaceful with good Nature… Overall the Entire HVR looks like a Joint family… ❤️
The jacuzzi Villa was very spacious. The decor in the property portrays the Hoysala architecture beautifully. Staff always greeted us with a smile. Food was delicious - all the meals were nicely planned and had good variety and taste. Fantastic weekend getaway.
Location: Best place to stay while visiting Belur-Halebidu, Shravanbela gola. Situated near Hassan, it's right in the centre of Karnataka, most of the other places you might want to visit are within 3 hours from here. Such as Mysore, Coorg, Banglore etc. I booked the place just looking at decent hotel within the proximity of Belur Halebidu, however, least i knew that this place itself would become a landmark in our trip! The place is just outside the city of Hassan and offers you Malnad style stay and food. Stay: We stayed in Malnad Palace (that's the room type what they call for the suites). Building is a stand alone building with a style is local palace. There are nearly 10 suites there and quite a good amount of common areas. The rooms are very ethnic and gives you true feelings of luxury in simplicity. They are quite mindful of sustainability and same time giving you an authentic luxury experience. It's nice to see that even towels are thin cotton towels and not the usual turkish towels! Plants and vegetations are carefully selected having either medicinal values or some cultural importance and not just random landscaping. In fact they have named them too for you to understand. We had one large well in front of our building along with a shyam Tulsi plant. Not only that, there was a rudraksha plant too! Near the main lobby bulging there was this huge bread fruit tree with fruits. Guess, after spotting that and inquiring about the same, the immediately plucked a few for us and served us pakodas and a dry curry made up of that 🥰. Such a sweet gesture! Food The food in their restaurant was one of the most delicious food i have tasted. For someone who has not tasted authentic South Indian food and that too Malnad style this might be a great surprise. Be open to try out new things and you won't go wrong here. We had some lip smacking gassi (curries). The breakfast served on banana leaf is out of the world. Staff: All staff are very very courteous and helpful. Special mention of Mr. Vijay and his team at the restaurant namely Boodesh, Prem, Pretish, Chandrakant and Sushant. At reception Mamata, Jay Kumar, Manjula and Puja🙂 (didn't want to miss the names). The cherry on the top was the owner, Mr. Alva, who inspite of being a busy businessman was kind enough to attend us and even saw us off till the gate. I surely, would suggest this place to even, relax and detox yourself. Looking forward to visit the place again.…
