We stayed for 1 night at Hotel Hassan Ashok after visiting Shravanbangola. Room rates very reasonable. It was a very comfortable stay. Staff went out of their way to answer our queries about the area. The swimming pool and hotel garden are very well kept Would recommend stay at the hotel.

Location, ambience, rooms and food were good. We had prior booking with full payment. But we were surprised when we were informed during check in that there was no intimation of our booking. Still they took some time, checked and accommodated us. They admitted it was miscommunication between their staff. Buffet management was poor. Most of the time the staff failed to respond to simple requests. The crockery on many occasions were not clean.

I m disappointed during the stay. I feel hotel is struggling to maintain it. Staff is lack basics. They don’t know how to deal. Even after clear instructions on booking, they provided wrong room. Food is just ok. Service is very slow even for simple coffee needs to wait for 10min. I felt as reviews are far from reality.

This claims to be a 4* hotel - far from it! The hotel seems old. The room was battered and the bathroom was small. There was no view. The electric sockets had burn marks from sparking and not all of them worked properly. The room had only been superficially cleaned with some foul-smelling product and the bathroom was not completely clean.

At the outset, I want to clarify that I am not affiliated with the hotel in any way. This is solely my personal opinion. As I understand, this hotel has been in operation for 38 years. I must emphasize that everything is impeccably clean. I would rate the toilets, beds, lobby, and general facilities on the ground floor as A+. The food served here is also exceptional. The staff members are extremely courteous, and I must commend the front receptionist, Bhumica, for her professionalism.
Regarding the room tariff, it's approximately Rs. 5000+ per night. If within your budget, I highly recommend anyone visiting Hassan to consider staying here. Additionally, there is a lovely jewelry shop within the hotel compound, adding to the convenience and charm of the place.

The room was big enough for us. But it had problems. Room no. 2208. The air conditioner did not work. The mechanic did try to fix and said it would cool down in a few minutes. It did not. The TV did not have some popular channels like Zee TV, Sony Asia. When we talked about it, they did order those channels. People were trying to be helpful.

I had come to this place thirty years back, when this was a great hotel. Now, it seems to be in disrepair and needs maintenance. We stayed here for just one night and hence didn't bother us as much. The lunch and dinner was tasty. The breakfast was sumptuous.
