The hotel at best is below average and not at all value for money. The best thing was we had booked it only for a day so our trip was saved as our next hotel was amazing.... Regarding this one...You can smell the rusty and oldness of the furniture and entire structure. The property has outlived its life l. We had booked double deluxe room with balcony view but it was sub standard and even the view wasn't good as you get to see people drinking and speaking loudly in nearby properties. The common terrace is used to dry clothes and for drinks during evening which is really bothersome of you are with your family. The washrooms do not have exhaust and there is a drain nearby. Thr only good thing was few of the staff was cooperative and courteous.
Everything is good about this hotel. We stayed for 2 nights and found no issues. The location is near the bus stand. We easily get a taxi for sightseeing outside the hotel. There are a few good restaurants nearby also. Food and service are also fine. The rooms and Washrooms are clean and spacious.
Originally booked for two nights, we just left after one day only. Looks it needs a big renovation, age old building with equally worn out furniture and other amenities. May be good for folks looking for budget stay. Ours was a little odd experience with smelly blankets and leaking bathrooms. Staff looked less bothered about guests' comfort and wore a "it-is-like-this-only" attitude. Probably we expected too much from them :) Food was okay-some and there was always a shortage of clean-cutlery even with less number of guests at breakfast time. Though we communicated our concerns immediately and even while checking out yet wish the writeup ay help them improvise a little more.
3-Jan-2020 We had a 1 night stay to enjoy the Kumar's Hotal very satisfied with every aspect of the hotel. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable regarding places to visit in. The hotel is very clean throughout, and our room was spacious with everything that we needed. Breakfast was substantial, and suited all tastes. The hotel is quiet, and is situated near to numerous restaurants, and a main supermarket, and within easy walking distance from bus stand We would highly recommend a stay at this hotel. We lost my phone chargerin hotal but Manager has cooperated us and promised to courier it. Thanks for hospitality. Will visit again........
this hotel is I can say below or average hotel, the only best thing is that it is hardly 100 m from Bus stand & near to Main Mall road market. so for short time vacation this is ideal. rooms are big but not tidy, Bathroom looks very old.
Good hotel in affordable price with good service and its located near by bus stop very convenient to reach to hotel definitely recommended. the food is very delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful
Yess!! We were back from Manali to Dalhousie on 30th late night. And we found this hotel, which was nearest to the Dalhousie bus stand. The temp was around 3° so we demanded for hot water to the staff, bt no one was listening to us. Giving reasons!! 31st night a party was organised by the hotel Itself with entry charges. Charges were reasonable. Dj , snacks , games enjoyed the night with my friends bad a blast.
Hotel Kumar's is a budget hotel at a very convenient location. Next to Bus Stand. You can get Volvo bus to Delhi from Bus Stand and to Khajjiar/Chamba also. Old Hotel but satisfying interior. Hotel staff is very polite and helpful.
Hotel Kumar's an average hotel. A bit expensive as per the standards, may be due to its bus stand location. However it is the case with whole Dalhousie. There is an acute problem of water. SO USE WATER WISELY and check water is available in bathroom before using it. Also, book your hotel prior in advance as there are not many options at one place and since its a hill area, one can not roam a lot in search of hotel. Hotel Kumar's is near to bus stand and there is food outlet available nearby. I would prefer to take hotel in Gandhi Chowk. It is located 4 Kms uphill from bus stand. Gandhi chowk is a lively area. One can take hotel at Subash Chowk, it is more happening then Bus stand bus less then Gandhi Chowk.
Located at the Dalhousie bus stop, Kumar’s is a mid range hotel with 42 rooms. This 35 years old property has maintained the look and feel quite well. My perception changed the moment I entered at the reception. The spacious room in minus one floor took us by surprise. I had not expected a room so big attached with a cute little balcony. Inspite of a sofa, a double bed, almirah, dressing table, centre table and study table, there was ample space to walk around. The biggest turn on was the large window with sunshine sun shine gushing in. Kumar’s has service staff which is on their toes and ready to accommodate any request from guests. They have been quite helpful and cooperative. Food menu is reasonably priced. One extra point for the lip smacking food by the cooks. We ordered Malai Kofta and matar paneer on two different days for dinner. Both the times the food tasted outstanding. Breakfast buffet was average as I found less variety. However, the simple spread was well made and worth appreciating. Irrespective the location, the interiors are quite. No noise of crowd or howling buses interfered in our peace of mind.…
