We stayed for 4 days, let me pen down what went well and whats not:

The Good
Gorgeous hotel in terms of look and feel, garden us lush green with beautiful flowers and to be noted well maintained. If you are accompanied by kids or your spouse they are definitely going to enjoy having their own space. Swings, Tree house, Cafe and what not. Stella (The Cafe) also offers good options if you are pizza lover. Our recommendation for Stella would be their Lemon Cheese Cake and Garlic bread with coffee.

Staff had been courteous, well behaved, polite and always eager to help you out. Ravi from management had always came forward for all small needs we asked for and delivered.

Food within hotel is lip smacking, delicious and well served. We took breakfast included which was buffet and the best part of it was quality as well options were plenty, you can take anything from desi puri sabji to veg sandwiches and omlette.. If you dine out then also the portions were more than enough for 2 person and not too expensive. You must try their in house gulabjamun.

Rooms were clean though a bit rusty but were fine, 24hour service was pin point and even laundry was good. It rained whole night a day before we were to checkout but for our surprise the cleaning staff was active to make sure there are no hassles for guests.

Parking is spacious, if your have taken a driver their breakfast is also included and will not be charged but they have a separate breakfast menu not the buffet one which you have taken for your stay. Our driver complimented hotel for their food and services as well. Hotel provides them separate bathroom but there are no rooms for driver so they would need to sleep in car, we took car inflatable bed so that proved comfy enough for our driver. Hotel also provide drivers with blanket and bedsheets if they want.

The Bad
We found nothing to complain or anything which me or my family think we can point out.

Note
It's approx 2km away from Mall road and main shopping hub so if you are not accompanied by small kids you can manage to park you car in hotel parking and walk. On the way you can get a view to Beeji park as well where you can click few memories and walk past to your destination.

My experience at the Alps resort was wonderful. Some of the most friendly and helpful staff, especially Mr. Sanjay Kumar. He was very warm and courteous, and made extra efforts to ensure we had all facilities, especially since we were traveling with a senior citizen. Would 100% recommend to stay here if you're looking for a weekend getaway in Dalhousie - lovely experience!

Stayed with family in January 2023

This property is about 4 Km uphill from the Dalhousie busstand on the Khajjiar road.
One thing to be noted is that because of the location, only 4×4 vehicles are able to reach here when it snows. We had to park our car at the bus stand and shell out ₹ 4000 to rent a 4x4 gypsy for to and fro travel from the bus stand.

But after this initial hiccup it was a wonderful experience. We were greeted with a warm lemon tea on arrival and the hotel manager Mr. Dheeraj was kind enough to upgrade our rooms to a suite and a room with a garden view. The rooms were neat and clean, the snacks dinner and the breakfast were delicious. The staff was courteous, especially Lalit who always had a smile on his face while serving us the delectable food.

Overall a very positive experience. Though a little difficult to reach in snow, it offers splendid views to compensate.

Awesome location but poorly maintained rooms. Very poor service. Family rooms should be totally avoided.

Seldom i have stayed in a property consecutively for more than 2 days and deeply regretted staying in this property consecutively for 4 days/3 nights.

I had booked a 'Family Suite with Garden View' (2 joined rooms having 2 beds). There was only one such room in the category and even though it was priced the maximum when I booked, it was totally not maintained. The flush wasn't working, the exterior windows weren't closing, bathroom doors were hard to lock and there was a musty smell all around.

The manager at reception was expecting us to adjust as if we haven't paid for this booking. After raising multiple concerns, we were finally downgraded to a Boutique room without a view (single room and single bed). At least this room was better maintained than the original room I had booked. i called this a downgrade because the provided room was available at Rs. ~1500/- discount than our current room for any given day and we only 2 options, either go with the downgrade or find another hotel. We had to go with the former in the interest our budget.

Even though breakfast was included in my booking, they had very limited options and even those limited options were repeated for 2 days. On the third day of booking, we had to wait for ~45 minutes for breakfast only to be told that some of the options were no longer available. For ex: they had sambar but no idli. They had poori but no chole alongside.
I got injured during the trip and the hotel didn't even have a crape bandage in their first aid kit to help me out.

I requested them for a late checkout so that I could take some rest but was denied the same.

I had booked Alps hotel and resort in
Dalhousie on 24 th of feb for 23-26th of march 2024 with Rs 10000 as advance payment for 2 rooms .
On arrival We were allotted room no:115 and 119 .
In Room no 119 from day 23rd toilet was not working .sometime wash basin have no water sometimes jet/washer has no water .
In room no 115 intercom was not working .
On complaining so many times at reception and house keeping problem was not resolved. When we requested to change our room from 119 to some other they regularly said “sir please adjust we are calling plumber “ and nothing was done by plumber .
Now why should I adjust when Iam paying for properly working garden view room .
Manager at hotel said I can’t talk to you on this issue as I said you once to adjust otherwise do whatever you want to do.
This type of attitude is shown by manager Mr Ankush.
I request you to take a strict action against this hotel as this is a harassment for guest coming here . A blackmailing attitude was shown because we were with the family

The hotel provided impeccable service and luxurious amenities throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff's attentiveness and professionalism exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and offered breathtaking views of the city skyline. The dining options were outstanding, with a diverse menu featuring delicious cuisine. Additionally, the hotel's central location made it convenient for exploring nearby attractions. Overall, our experience at the hotel was exceptional, and we look forward to returning in the future.
The food service was really good.

A place with great service and food. They were able to provide choices in rooms and meals that would fit our needs - budget in this case.

Of course, helpful and friendly staff. Coney environment and surroundings. (My friend enjoyed their shower very much after travelling around India in the past two weeks or so)

We had a great breakfast, which was included, just before departure. Recommend to friends and family.

Good ambience and the property overall was quite good. Special mention to Mr. Pavan from the kitchen, Rakesh and Monica from the reception for going the extra mile to make our stay special. The bonfire and live music in the evenings were pretty good.

The rooms however could be much cleaner; even after cleaning the carpet/rug had plenty of hair attached to it.

had stay during june 22.
location: 5/5
2km away frommall road market. Excellent for those who are looking to peace, calm and just relax and enjoy nature nothing more.
Ample parking space.
property and view: property is neat, clean and very well maintained with all required amenities but little bit outdated furniture. We opted for garden view room.
rooms: neat, clean and good for stay.
dining & restaurant: restaurant is having good varieties and food taste and but quality or oil they used is liitle bit disappointed as all family members faced acidity problem whenever we ate there so food quality imrovement is required.
Resort is having another paid restaurant for outsiders as well which served wood fired pizza and other which is excellent is quality and taste too.
staff: all the staff members are very humble, courteous and always ready to serve including managers at front desk, housekeeping team, room service. restaurant team all. Special mention for mr pawan which takes cares of all service.
No games or activity for in resort timepass.
overall comfortable and pleasant stay but food was the only let down.

I think snow won't be a problem during 1st week on March. But you have to check near your dates because this year Himachal Pradesh received Snowfall in July starting instead of July end which is a month earlier.

It takes about 10 to 15 min from the hotel to the bus stand in a car. Hotel has lunch and Dinner in the hotel. I don't think it's expensive and depends on what you eat. Normally should be around 400 to 500 Rupees per person. Hotel has cab facility with full day or drop and pick to Gandhi chowk and bus stand. You could contact hotel directly for rates but we hired from other outside source and a Dezire for full day with Khajjar via Chamba costed us around Rs. 2500.
