We had a fabulous stay at "Satyadev Grand" during our recent visit to Dalhousie. First and foremost, I must appreciate the hospitality and support by the owner Mr. Rohit Thakur. Starting from reaching the hotel, he would guide and advise you well for the places to visit and is happy to take care of any concerns that you may have during your stay. The rooms are decent and great on hygeine factor. The service is really prompt by the staff in terms of food and basic amenities that it felt so much more homely. Breakfast and dinner served was great in taste and trust me you just need to tell them what you wish to have and they would do their best in order to have it ready for you. And this review will not be complete without mentioning their labrador retriever dog "Oggy" who is so so friendly that I hate to say it but I did not miss my dog much. Overall, it is a budget friendly and decent place to stay. Strongly recommended.

We stayed in this hotel on 30th Jan 2020. All experience was good except food quality. We ordered Egg Biryani which was not actually biryani. we can call that simply veg pulao. We complaint for that to hotel they insured us we will not charge for it but on checkout time they charged for it. No worry for it. But if they improve their food quality then this hotel is perfect for budget class traveler. I suggest to my brother stay in this hotel whose coming next month to Dalhousie.

First of all, the only shining light in this terrible 1 night stay at this place is the front desk guy who was helpful. The property is locked between several buildings in front back and sides. The only access is a narrow stair case from the main road. You have to climb down the stairs from main road. The property has no road access and they ask you to park at the taxi stand near bus stand. The rooms have zero ventillation as the building itself is sorrounded very closely by other buildings. I had no choice but to take this place because the travel company changed our hotel last moment. The building is new and you get the smell of varnish and paint. There is no restaurant. They cook food in a small dungeon and serve you at room. They served a decent dinner and you dont have any option. They can make parathas for dinner and give you bread toast and omelette for breakfast. We had kids and they asked for an extra toast to which the restaurant guy started counting how many parathas we ate and how many toast we had. HORRIBLE GUYS TO DEAL WITH. Finally, the frontdesk guy intervened and gave us 2 more toast. Believe me, dont go by the name of the hotel. ITS NOT A PLACE YOU WANT TO STAY WITH FAMILY. ITS FOR GANG OF FRIENDS WHO END UP REACHING THE TOWN IN THE NIGHT AND NO PLACE TO FIND, THE LAST RESORT. The town is 7km off Dalhousie and thats another thing you should keep in mine. FOR GODS SAKE, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS TERRIBLE PLACE IF YOU ARE GOING WITH FAMILY. THERE ARE BETTER HOTELS IN DALHOUSIE.
