It was solo, business purpoase stay. Standard facilities, good staff, location is cool, well communicated. Stay is homely. Very popular. Value for money. I felt safe, even for family and solo visits. Food taste is very light as per my tastebuds, but good quantity and healthy.

We felt very lucky to have found this homestay. It was a delight to meet Basab, the owner and he was very helpful in sorting out details for the rest of our trip. Kalpa went the extra mile looking after us and cooking delicious food. Thank you. The rooms are spacious with their own bathrooms and there is a communal sitting are along with the kitchen. It is a short walk to a main road from which lots of public transport can get you around Guwahati. Highly recommended.

A place worth calling home. ~5 km from the Guwahati Railway station, positioned in a locality with all necessary amenities. The owner is a well spoken and humble guy. The homestay has caretakers, who would cook you great food and take care of other necessities if you have any. They would even wake up at 5:00 in the morning to serve hot tea and breakfast. Compared to all the other accommodations in our trip (Guwahati-Tawang-Kaziranga-Guwahati), this place would have my highest recommendations (in terms of cleanliness, budget, location and service).

glad that we chose this place..i was there with my husband and 13 yr old son and stayed from 1st of june to 4th. Room was neat ..with good wifi.food that Kalpa cooked was amazing ..esp chicken. Mr. Vasab not only suggested us The river Brahmaputra cruising and but also made our bookings and all.And we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. Overall a very nice place to stay.

My husband and I stayed here for one night in March 2018, at short notice through booking.com. The owner was able to direct the taxi as the GPS address was one street over to the right. The guest house is on the second floor of a residential building, with offices on the first floor, it is positioned away from the main road and is very quiet. Our room was spacious with a/c and attached bathroom, the bed was fairly hard and there were a few mosquitoes, staff provided a plug in deterrent and some spray which got rid of them easily. Staff were helpful and organised bus tickets to Kohora (though for later than we originally asked, instead of checking with us they were okay they bought them anyway) and offered advice on what to see in Assam. There was breakfast included in our room rate, we had Indian style which consisted of tea or coffee and an aloo paratha with pickles – it was well cooked and very tasty. There were options for American breakfast, and also dinner options too, but we decided to eat out. All guests are seated around one large table which promoted conversation. The guest house is five minutes walk from the main road where you can find shops, restaurants, cafes etc. A basic, but well-staffed guest house well worth the rate.

Had a lovely stay at Ashirwad for the first time recently. Rooms are huge! Spacious and clean and well kept. Minimal decor but that actually gives you a good taste of traditional local lifestyle.
They helped me arrange taxi from airport and transport. Approx. 1 hour from airport but most central location in Guwahati. Perfect for business trips and sightseeing also.
Staff was too sweet, very helpful with everything. Special thanks for accomodating my odd hours.
Home-cooked food is available on site. Very tasty and super affordable. Had lunch or dinner there every day.
Attached bathroom is also huge and well equipped. Rooms come with AC and fan, although for the most part AC was not required. Very spacious living room / common area for meeting and entertaining guests. Nice balconies overlooking the neighborhood. Good TV in the room also.
Excellent WiFi! Really saved me with some important work. Also good phone connectivity in area.
As location is tucked in a little bit away from the main road, it is quiet and peaceful. At the same time, main road with shops is just 2 mins. walk. Restaurants and shopping malls about 10 mins. walk along main road.
Only one caveat - Guwahati in general is pretty infested with mosquitos. Although Ashirwad does do its best by providing Goodnight device and electric racket, you may consider bringing your own repellent.
I visit Guwahati often, and I'm glad to finally discover Ashirwad. I will definitely be staying there again. And I hear they have a new "Heritage" property that is a little more upscale that I am also eager to try out.

Clean rooms, good staff, and good home cooked food make for a great stay at Ashirwad homestay. The owner helped me get a cab to Shillong as well, and was extremely friendly. Only negative I can think of is the fact that this is located a bit on the inside. It can be a problem when navigating in the night. Else, this is a great budget accomodation.

Nice place with calm surroundings. Very helpful staff. Overall it was a superb experience and strongly recommended. The cost per night is very less for such ambience. During our visit the cook was unwell, the owner personally made sure that we had our food delivered properly from a nice place. It was such a nice gesture. Really impressed!!!!

Horrible experience. While lot of be bugs in the room and could not sleep the entire night. Rooms were smelling and lights were not working. Would never recommend this homestay to anyone. Just avoid it.
