Excellent hospitality. Without doubt one of the favorite hotel. Excellent food and very good service by staff. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had a great time here.

Situated in a broken pathway along Paltan Bazar; access is tricky. The outer appearance of the hotel does not inspire confidence. The reception / lobby area is tiny and dingy. But all this is made up by the room I opted for: Deluxe category. The room was huge by any standards, spic and span, equipped with L-shaped sofa, study table and the usual bed, TV, fridge etc. It also had a balcony which is rare these days. The staff looked deprived, but were friendly and cooperative. The food is reasonably priced and tasty. The breakfast is limited and homely. Tariff, very reasonable. Recommended for middle budget travelers.

A very comfortable, safe and secure hotel. Excellent location. Very hospitable staff. Rooms with essential facilities. Good place to stay for Business travellers and holidayer's. The quality of food serve in the restaurant is awesome. Good value for money. Definitely recommended to other travellers too.

A well maintained property with excellent service and the location is very good. I will come again for sure. Rooms are quite clean, very near to the railway station & 21 km to the airport. Location in the heart of the Guwahati city. Brahmaputra, Kamakhya temple, Navgrah temple & market is very near.

The best this hotel has done is that they have got an excellent photoshoot done. The rooms, lobby, restaurant are not that amazing in real. The rooms are smaller than specified, facilities are basic. But the service and staff behaviour is good

I traveled to north east for the first time and finalised to stay in Rains inn after after recommendation from a friend, who stayed there earlier. I booked by sending direct email and they confirmed my booking promptly. On my request they had also arranged airport pick up, which was very convenient. Hotel is located 50 meters from paltan bazar. My check in was very smooth and we had been given an nice room with big windows. The rooms are nicely decorated with bamboo furniture and bamboo window mats. Room was comfortable and looked soothing. Bathrooms were clean, well maintained with hot & cold water supply and towels were fresh. Bed linens were clean and good in quality. There is an electric kettle and sufficient supply of tea/coffee pouches in room. Staff is very courteous and efficient. Breakfast was complimentary with room and one can choose from the options. They have a restaurant, which is next to reception area. We had some of our dinners there and they serve very good Indian/muglai food and we enjoyed our meals. Top floor terrace is good for view of surrounding area and from there we had seen sun rising from behind a small hill. They have a travel desk and we booked our taxi through them. We stayed in hotel before going to Shillong and Cheerapunjee and as we liked the service and quality, so on our return we stayed in same place. In some of reviews I read that people faced problem with payment through credit card and I was a bit apprehensive but one transaction I made was fast. We overall enjoyed our stay in hotel.

Sadly we only stayed at this place for one night, but it was brilliant, when we arrived the room we had booked wasn't ready so we got upgraded to a Better room at no extra cost! The room was lovely everything worked well and we had a great nights sleep.
The staff at reception were very helpful and polite, they let us use there phone to make Numerous calls and let us print off train tickets as well! They also let us check out later and looked after bags once we had checked out as we had a train later that evening
The food in the restaurant was fantastic, I am a chef and couldn't find anything bad about it, also a very good breakfast selection.
Well worth a visit and very reasonably priced

This hotel is clean and secured. The check-in & check -out was smooth. The hotel is located just in the by-lane of Capital Travels, in Patan Bazar. Its very near to the Volvo point from where the ASTC Deluxe Bus service starts for Guwahati Airport & also the railway station. The food is good & reasonable charges. Its in a residential area and is slightly away from the hustle & bustle of usual Paltan bazar chaos. So, you can have a peaceful sleep. The use of bamboo & cane furniture in the rooms & Restaurant gives a nice feeling as its a Eco- hotel. I stayed in the Deluxe room No. 205, on second floor. It had a personal balcony overlooking the city. The bathroom is clean, with personal geyser, a bath tub, clean towels. Although there is free Wifi but seldom worked. The complimentary breakfast is good, but not a buffet. So, you have to ask for options. Over all its a good hotel, and i recommend others also to stay there at ease.
