Detailed Reviews
Staff was helpful, rooms were pleasant, would not recommend the huts. The standard and deluxe rooms were great. It is basic like most of Havelock, but has what you need. Lovely sit out space and quaint dining area. Great juices and milkshakes freshly made. The best part is being opposite the road to Moonlight cafe and beach no. 5.

in the somewhat crowded havelock - this is in a real quiet place. just 3 km from the boat jetty - and the beach opposite [dive indi beach] is isolated and very nice. the food is medium, but the helpful staff make up for it

We stayed at Green Imperial for a week whilst we dived with Dive India who are based just across the road.
The staff were friendly, the rooms (we stayed in both the new concrete rooms and the cheaper bamboo huts) we're comfortable and clean with hammocks outside and large bathrooms.
In the evenings they show nature and environment documentaries and then a movie at 7pm in the restaurant which is a great extra, the food is good too! For a bit of romance or if you're not keen on the movies they'll set you up a table in the garden.
The only negative is that the water tank regularly overflows and is quite noisy (sometimes at 6.40am!).
But overall a nice, pretty, friendly place to stay. We would definitely recommend.

Avoid it , like you would the plague! This hotel has absolutely below par service and customer engagement is a concept unheard of. One of their servers who is from Assam (with a French beard as of writing this) used to probably get some sadistic pleasure out of being rude to customers. Their breakfast wouldn't be ready on time especially if a packed lunch had been requested and their manager not especially helpful. I know of a place that I shall never stay in if I come to Andaman again , and that is Green Imperial!

Lovely lovely lovely! We loved it here. We were booked into Emerald Gecko for a week but after 3 days of poor service, beligerent staff, erratic food prices and even more erratic beer supply, we decided to move on and were lucky enought to find this place at 700 against gecko's 1500. Owner Rakesh is a lovely man who goes out of his way to make you happy. Food is cheap and delicious. Only negative is very limited storage in rooms but no problem to most travellers. Can't wait to go back

The resort has 2 options of bamboo and concrete huts. We opted for the concrete huts which were modestly furnished but provided for all our necessties double bed, mosquito net & chairs. The property is in midst of a nice supari and banana plantation. you are surrounded with greenry and the beach is just 50m across the road. The price is well worth all we wanted and the owner Rajesh is a very good host. He is polite and provides all help and info one would ask himThey werent serving much food apart from eggs for bfast so cant comment on that but we were happy just hopping across to Full Moon cafe for a yummy meal. The location is 15 min walk from the market and right opposite DiveIndia so ideal for all water sports enthusiasts or vacationers who want to relax.

Green Imperial has beautiful cottages which are clean and comfortable. There are 2 options to choose from - concrete or the cheaper bamboo huts. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Electricity and running water was never an issue. Our room had a large double bed with a much-needed mosquito net. We were pleasantly surprised with the spacious porch, large bathrooms, and hammocks (yes!) outside the cottage. Room rates are reasonable. The hotel also provides two wheelers on hire. However, when we'd gone the hotel was not serving any meals - which was okay as we wanted to explore the island for good eating joints. This is a perfect, relaxing place to stay especially if you're planning to scuba dive with DiveIndia (across the road) or Ocean Tribe (150m away). The hotel is a 15-20 min walk away from the main market and junction.

We stayed with Green Imperial in Dec 2014. It is located opp. Full Moon Cafe. The place is basic in its requirement but comfortable. It is good value for money. They provide scooters on hire and can serve breakfast if asked for. The staff is cordial and the place is serene....

We found it impossible to contact the Green Imperial in advance but had seen it mentioned in someone's blog, and as one of the cheaper options on Beach 5, thought it was worth investigating when we arrived on Havelock without pre-booked accommodation. We weren't disappointed. Apart from the modest price, it has a great deal to recommend it, in particular the very friendly staff and the tranquil location. It's on the other side of the road from the beach but this is no hardship as it's only a couple of minutes walk through one of the other resorts to reach it. Instead of the sound of the sea you are awoken by a fabulous dawn chorus from the jungle which borders the property at the back. The blancmange pink tin-roofed concrete bungalow was a lot better than it sounds although the interior was spartan indeed - a bed with a mosquito net and an attached bathroom and nothing more. We bought the plastic chairs in from the veranda to put belongings on. To make up for this there was a a beautiful, green, palm-fringed garden and it was a real pleasure to lounge in the hammocks that are set about it or sit and drink tea on the table that is set out there. We had breakfast and ate in the evening at the small restaurant at the front and were impressed with well-priced food.
It's not difficult to see how some people end up staying here for days on end.

I went to Havelock for my AOW scuba diving course from Dive India. Due to heavy rush at 'Vinnis' I had to stay at Green Imperial for 2 nights. It was a pleasant experience.
There were 8 small Nikobori cottage with attached bath and small balcony. The huts are overlooking a lawn with tree etc.One common dinning space for residents and outsiders. The rooms are small but clean and bathrooms are just having everything you need, shower, western commode, hand shower and basin. The position of the hotel is on the other side of the beach road (No. 5 beach). Please remember this is a budget accommodation at Rs.800/- per night and perfect for tourists without family.
The place is owned by a smiling young man Rakesh, who is eager to listen to you and cater to your every needs. The kitchen is headed by Udbhab, an asamese young man who should be a contender for Master Chef India (trust me I am not joking). The food was out of the world, alwys served hot and fresh. From local, asamese to continental there were number of options. For 3 days when we stayed at Vinnis our food destination was Udbhab's kitchen. U may stay any where in Havelock but please try the food there especially the andaman fish curry and rice.
