Although the complex was really nice, we didn't feel very comfortable here. Even the pick-up from the ferry port didn't work, and the WiFi didn't work for 4 out of 6 days. After three days we were given a different room. Unfortunately, we were given a dark hole where the water in the bathroom was leaking from the pipes and the water didn't get warm for ages. After two days, the WiFi was gone again. As we were here to dive, we had to leave early, so we had our breakfast packed for us instead of the breakfast buffet. We didn't get a drink with it. We were refused a bottle of water. The discussion about it was embarrassing and achieved nothing. The packed breakfast was pathetic. The room service was nice but unfortunately also sloppy. Old dishes were only cleared away when asked and the table was not wiped down afterwards. The grease splatters remained for three days. It's a real shame, as I said, actually a nice place.

Our experience here at De foret was very pleasant and comfortable. The entire premises gave a feeling that we were living in the midst of nature. The accomodation is spacious and neat. The entire villa and the decor is made up of wood which imbued a very calm feeling. So the ambience was great. The hotel is ideally located from Radhanagar and Elephant beach just 2.0 kms away from each spot. Tourists who prefer to walk and trek can opt to stay here. Their food and beverage section was fine, especially there non- vegetarian and sea food dishes were really good and fresh. The staff here are very cordial and courteous especially the ones in the food and beverage section. They were all so polite to us and always had a smiling face which really made us feel welcomed. There were some grey areas as well ,which was there house keeping section. Normally during a long stay the hotels would generally provide complimentary toiletries every day which was not the case here. We had raised an issue regarding the toilet faucet which was not addressed. So they need to improve on these areas. But otherwise leaving aside these minor hiccups, this is really a great place to stay.

Absolute nightmare of a stay. The Wi-Fi didn’t work all five days. Loud music was being played by the staff all the time and at odd timings, felt like a college frat house. The staff was absolutely clueless about basics such as renting of a Scooty etc. the sheets were dirty and they didn’t have enough towels to provide for 2 people. Extra fee was being charged for credit cards which should not happen at all. The food was horrible and they didn’t care if any feedback was being provided to them. From the hotel manager to the cleaning staff, no one really cared about anything at all. Dirty plates were not cleaned from the table at the time of breakfast.

Excellent rooms. Nice location but far from sea beach. Resturant is much much expensive and service is not appreciable. As its forest, we encounter with snake, so might have some safety issues with kids. Overall enjoyed the stay.

Our stay was quite good and a pleasant one. However, the resort did not have too many guests and given it’s a little far away from the hustle and bustle of the island, the food options were limited. It did not help that the closest restaurant outside of the resort was 6-7kms away either. Whatever was available at the restaurant was tasty though but quite pricey for the quantity. We paid 400rs for a bowl of French fries which shouldn’t cost such a premium! The stay itself was good, the room was very comfortable although could have been better lit. The bathroom was very spacious and modern, no complaints. All the staff were very friendly and prompt in their service. All our requests were promptly attended to. Overall a very peaceful experience away from the hustle and bustle of a typical beach property. Very quiet and relaxed stay. Not crowded with people at all. If you like your peace and quite and want a relaxed holiday, de foret should be on top of your stay options.

We chose De Foret for our 4 day stay in Havellock Island and felt very well accomodated. The cottages are lovely, private, clean and spacious. The pool was always clean and very pleasant thanks to Chiranjit Ji, he was taking good care of the pool and the pool guests. The room service was also really good and quick!
In the breakfast service Eva and Fila were very attentive and the food was tasty and fresh. The bar staff prepared drinks well.
We recommend staying here, just the restaurant could be improved. The food looked very nice, given the price the taste could be better though.

Had a wonderful experience here in this resort. Location is about 5 mins from Randhanagar beach the most beautiful beach in Havelock. The rooms are dimly lit and have a very romantic rustic feel to it but very modern at the same time with amenities. Very spacious and clean. Durgesh and Asreen in housekeeping were great and did a wonderful job! Eva, Phila and Sweety in the restaurant were the best. So attentive and professional and nice. Eva even gave really useful local recommendations which made our trip way more fun. Quiet resort in the midst of nature with great service. Totally recommend!

The mystifying beauty and tranquil atmosphere of the location,laced with rustic cottages and lush greenery all around were a sight to behold.The quaint and simple exteriors of these cottages housed a myriad of all kinds of luxuries and splendour. The courteous and earnest staff members along with a special mention to Abhijit,Tamanna,Sukatish deserve an applause for their meticulous and kind hospitality.
