What a beautiful resort to relax and that too with its own, private white sandy beach. Opened in Feb 2019, it’s shiny new, clean and beautifully laid out. There are 8 villas with 4 rooms each and the main building with 8 rooms on the first floor.
Our booking was very well taken care by Pavan Reddy, who also accommodated some last minute changes due to Port Blair airport timings and ferry schedule.
Sandyy Wavess is located on Beach No. 5 in Havelock island which is 1.5 hours by ferry from Port Blair.
The reception is huge with marble flooring, chandeliers and also doubles up as the indoor restaurant. Just outside is the open seating with a bar, pool table and an awesome massage chair.
Our 3 rooms were located in the first villa just next to the main building. The rooms are huge, with a lot of intricate wood panelling and also latest electrical appliances. The bathroom was another surprise due to its massive size and with both a shower room as well as a full sized bath tub.
Our bed was one of the best we ever slept on in India. Pillows, linen and upholstery were all top notch quality.
Room service was very efficient and the food was lovely. We ate most dinners in the room and all breakfasts in the restaurant. Breakfast menu keeps changing everyday which is surely appetising. Kudos to the kitchen and wait staff who dish up the best food we had in the 5 days of our Andaman sojourn.
The pool is deep enough and pretty big for lapping and well as some R&R. Attached is a baby pool for toddlers too.
Lots of seating options spread around the property besides the pool, below coconut palms and on the beach. The resort has its own beach which is amazing either in low tide or high tide. We spent hours in the white soft sand and it’s waters.
The resort might be a bit short staffed but every member of the staff goes the extra mile to serve clients which is very commendable and well appreciated.
During our stay we could also see the owner of the hotel who took personal interest in directing the staff minute details for upkeep of the resort.
If you’re looking a place to relax a well earned break, Sandyy Wavess it has to be.

We visited Havelock Island for 3 days ( Feb.3-5, 2020). We stayed in Sandyy Wavess Beach Resort. The property is new. The rooms are well decorated with all the amenities. Hotel staff are cordial and helpful. GM Mr. Sourav Mukherjee along with his team comprising of Pawan, Raj and Dev took care of two senior citizens like us. We felt homely in the place. Breakfast was good. Food served in their restaurant was tasty. Dev suggested bengali style fish curry for us. It was very tasty and we enjoyed the food. We look forward to visit that resort again. It is worth mentioning a couple from UK expressed their disappointment as they couldn’t get a room in Sandyy Wavess Beach Resort.

Very Beautiful property with very nice decors. The rooms were spacious with attached sitout area. The bathroom had bathtubs, shower etc (Good sized Bathrooms as well). The stay was comfortable, swimming pool excellent. Property also has a private beach and they have put a lot of tables and small sitouts areas on way to beach. Just a bit costly (so is everything else in Havelock). Food was also nice and rates reasonable compared to costs in the island. They also have a small limited menu Bar. While I really enjoyed my stay, there are few very small things which I thought could be better
- More Towels in Bathroom after room cleaning (especially some hand towels. I literally have to ask for more towels every day. This is needed especially for a property at beach where you take bath more often
- Toiletries especially Shampoo could have been better
In general I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend the property

I could not have picked a better hotel, than Sandyy. The hotel was only built a year ago and you can see, how everything is in perfect conditions, starting with the most comfy beds, to beautiful pool, where you can relax on swivel chairs or sunbeds. The beach is just a minute walk and again there are sunbeds with umbrellas and water is crystal clear. I also enjoyed the food in the restaurant and drinks at the bar, with great relaxing time playing pool. I can only recommend this hotel, as the staff is alwas helpful and you will feel like a king or queen! :)

My husband and I stayed at Sandyy Wavess for 3 wonderful days in January. First of all, call the hotel to book your room and get them to help you book your ferries and other activities. I talked to Pavan over the phone and then switched to Whatsapp to communicate with him and it was incredibly helpful. Organizing things in the Andamans is super difficult as a foreigner and Pavan figured it all out for me - from getting me a great price on an upgraded room to booking 3 different ferries for me and recommending a dive shop. Thank you Pavan!!
The hotel is beautiful, the pool is large and clean, the rooms are lovely and have excellent AC. Wifi on the whole island was a major problem, but it seems in the next few months the Andamans should have 4G so it should be an issue in the near future. The beach in front of the resort is lovely; it's empty and quiet. One major thing to keep track of is the tide schedule. At low tide the ocean completely disappears and all you can see is the sandy seafloor for hundreds of meters out. So you need to plan swimming as close to high tide as possible. If you want to be in the water at low tide then you can always go in the pool. Sunrise is gorgeous and worth getting up early for. There is a little scooter stall directly across the road which is super convenient. Overall Sandyy Wavess was an excellent choice for Havelock island. I wish we would have stayed longer.
Some small negatives: Check-in took forever. The front desk staff need to work out their system better and faster. The food at the hotel was decent, but I wouldn't eat all my meals there. Breakfast was mostly Indian food and not to my liking.

My kids loved this property and the ambience. It's a well kept property, luxurious rooms and amazing bathrooms. The pool was awesome. The entrance is a bit abrupt (yet it is astounding )when you enter this property as you directly enter the dining area to approach the reception 😀. Though this hardly matters when you see the other services provided by this place. The food was good here, both breakfast and Ala cart dinners we had here.
Also a must mention here is that they have paid attention to cater to smallest of the needs of guests staying here I.e. providing clothes drying stands, floaters for kids in the pool, umbrellas for guests etc.
Overall loved the place.
One suggestion to them is that if they keep their private beach clean regularly from the debris from sea floating towards the beach with high tide, they could boast to be the best luxurious property of havelock

Sandyy Waves Beach Resort is located in the tropical paradise of Swaraj Dweep previously known as Havelock Island. The property is beautiful, very well maintained with private access to beautiful sandy and coral beach.
Access to the property is by road from the ferry jetty terminal and takes about 10 mins by car operated by many tour operators.
The road access to resort is good. Lots of green tropical trees, wild floral plants on either side. ATMs (SBI, HDFC, Axis Banks) are available and on the way to the resort.
Rooms are for double occupancy but spacious to fit easily for family of four. Extra bed facility is available. Had a nice spacious attached, clean bathroom with bath tub.
Food is great but bit pricey as expected due to supplies are exported from main land India. Staff are polite, well mannered, very helpful.
Clean large swimming pool also available.
The property have separate internet access for lobby/dinning area and other for rest of the property.
Personally we loved the nice winding passage to beach and white sandy beach itself. The water is turquoise color due to corals with beautiful view all around. During the low tide the water resides by few hundred meters exposing the corals.
Although my stay with family was for three days, this will remain as a memorable stay for my family.

Representation of rooms in travel sites is misleading. I was promised a garden view room while the forced me to take a room with a view of wall of another Wing. Staff is not at all hospitable. Though property location and construct is amazing but very poorly managed and short staffed. staff says no for every thing except few. No towels at swimming pool no towels at beach. No drinks and food near pool..it's like a prison..most of all small requests are bluntly told no..we at 7 in evening asked to put couple of recliners lying near by on beach side staff adamantly
said no. Room service is done at 5 in evening. simple request like coffee or dairy poch do not comes after multiple request. Manager is totaly useless and do not know how to serve customers..

It is indeed an amazing property to stay. A little away from the Jetty where all the hustle bustle of havelock is. Very quiet and serene environment around with only hills and fauna opposite the property. They also have a private beach unlike other resorts for which they have a proper paved path and along the path have cabanas and also a few chairs on the beach. Its in between lush greenery.
Arindam, the manager at the desk has been very sweet and kind and helpful with all the requests. breakfast was pretty decent considering its on an island what you get is perfectly nice and good.
The management could have been a little better but since its a fairly new property it will come along down the line.
spent 2 nights. The room was clean and all required toiletries were provided. The beach is very clean and one can view sunrise on the private beach itself. All in all a value for money and a very good, comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Excuses for everything!
Untrained and under staffing : Due to the Covid
Lack of proper food facilities : The resort is located on an island
Poor maintenance & filthy, cluttered poolside area : Weather
Insects in room: Nature
The resort owners just want to snatch money from the travellers without providing the proper services. How could they charge for something that they are not capable of providing?
The resort is pretty good but the price is overwhelming and no way justifies it.
Unclean dirty utensils
Poorly maintained and mismanaged
Only more people were like Salma who was skilled enough and always smiling.
Sometimes it felt as if the scarcity was being created and customers only manipulated due to lack of interest and training skills.
Only for sense gratification a person goes to a family trip and what's the point if inspite of spending a fortune, you're still dissatisfied!?
Better options are available for a lesser price range like Sea Shell resort, Silver Sands Resort. Please don't fall prey to the rosy pictures on their online sites.
Toiletries were much much below average standards(like that of a two star hotel) and you must take your own personal care products.

You can call up the hotel before you arrive and they will arrange a private taxi for you. Charges would be 300 INR one way(jetty to hotel).
