We stopped for an overnight stay on a powered site because research indicated it was the best park in Winton. It was a huge mistake!!!! The site was very tight to reverse onto and had low overhanging tree branches, the amenities were dirty, the washing machines were all out of order except for one. There were dogs wandering unleashed, without...

We had a great unit at the Caravan Park, before we headed to Lark Quarry, then Boulia, Birdsville & the Birdsville Track back to Adelaide. But . . . because of the heavy rain, the Birdsville Track was closed, so we had to change our place. One attraction in Winton that we thoroughly enjoyed was the Musical Fence, on the...

This is one of the most disappointing campgrounds that we have stayed in. It was very poor value for money ($32 for an unpowered site). We had a close-up view of a galvanised iron fence and were packed so closely with our neighbours that not only could I hear every word of his telephone conversation, I could hear the responses...

Although only a small park the lady in the park office is so friendly - you would think you had known her for years - after quite a drive to get there it is very nice to meet someone so friendly and bubbly. The park is kept tidy - rubbish bins emptied each day -and the amenities are clean .

Have read some rather scathing reviews and felt I should make comment. We loved this park and felt that it was by far the best location in Winton with the other two parks being right on the highway. Amenities wise, yes they are old. I always use my van ensuite so to me it is a non-issue while my husband...

This park has so much to offer and lets it all down by not keeping its maintenance program up. The amenities are very poor (antiquated) and in serious need of a reno. and the laundry this trip was short of operating machines. The sites are only that but roomy enough. Cabins for those that want them. For a park that...

Holes in fly screens. No screen on sliding door that needs replacing. Air conditioning that doesn't work. This place is less than ordinary. Overpriced. I'd recommend travellers get a place closer to town. There are plenty of options for caravans and hotel stays.

We had the managers male dog and cat in our camp - both peeing and pooping. When asked to remove the poop, the managers teenage son picked it up with his bare hands and was very rude. The cat tried to climb up the tent during the night and went in our tent - two of us are allergic. We...
