We didn't have Trip Advisor when we got Married at Silky Oaks Lodge in 2001. To say it was the perfect Wedding feels like an understatement. Everything was done by email at the time and it was perfect. The staff went beyond the call of duty and some even discreetly turned up on their days off to watch our wedding...

Stayed here three nights as part of a Tauck Tour. Greeted by the owner and treated wonderfully for three nights. Secluded cabins are fully appointed and first class in every way. Cuisine was excellent and I recommend for anyone who really wants to get away from it all in a luxurious spot.

Our stay at Silky Oaks Lodge was amazing. Enjoyed the river front tree house and the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The setting over the Mossman river is magnificent, and we wish we booked a longer stay to relax and enjoy the resort. The staff at Silky Oaks was wonderful, they arranged our GBR snorkeling and rainforest tours which were...

We stayed at the Silky Oaks Lodge for three nights. The rooms and main lodge were on a hill overlooking the Mossman river. It was very beautiful and fit in with all the trees and flora. The food was excellent and we enjoyed sitting in the private library for dinner.

This is luxury. This is boutique luxury. Very pricey but worth it for a few nights. Food was excellent. Treated as if you were a guest in someone's house. It is off the beaten path but I have never been to a place quite like this. Wish it had fallen midway during our 30 days AUS/NZ trip so that I...

I fell in love with this hotel. It had a definite WOW factor. I would have no hesitation at returning here if ever the opportunity arises. It poured down with rain one evening but that added to the pleasure and aura of the place. Full of character and charisma. The building and decor fully fits in with the environment and...

Silky Oaks lodge was towards the end of a fabulous trip in NZ and Australia as a second honeymoon planned for us by DesigNZ on Travel. We wanted diversity in our trip and as part of that were keen to see the rainforests of North Queensland, so our stay at Silky Oaks was pefect being amongst the trees in our...

Wow...from the moment we arrived at Silky Oaks to the moment we left, we loved our stay here! We arrived to a champagne cocktail in the bar that overlooks the Mossman River which is an incredible setting with great views and lots of wildlife to enjoy. Our room was such luxury with a comfortable bed, lovely big bathroom and private...

This place is a must if you are in northern Queensland. Having spent 3 weeks travelling around in great weather we were nervous to head here as our last stop in our honeymoon. How we need not have troubled ourselves. It is just over an hour from Cairns, and you feel like you are miles from anything. He photos do...

A fantastic hotel where you can enjoy good food and the rainforest. Beautiful tree houses and friendly staff, love the hammock on the balcony! I only gave it 4 out of 5 because there was no mini bar and the delivery charge for room service was $25.00!
