We stayed three nights at Licuala Lodge in Mission Beach at the beginning of February 2016 . Mick and Sue were hosts , very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Good breakfast , very relaxed atmosphere, both happy to sit and chat with us. It was my birthday whilst there and Sue made me a little cake complete with...

We booked the King Suite for the week after Christmas for 3 nights. This is of course the wet season in this part of the world! The room was spotless, well appointed, and spacious. The gardens are beautiful and home to lots of birdlife including the occasional visit from a cassowary and his chicks - amazing! The pool is delightful,...

Hi Skybeau - thanks for the review. We are always aware that the weather at this time of the year can be very changeable and if guests need to leave a day or two early then that's fine by us. There is plenty of shade around the pool, so guests can either soak up the sun by the pool or...

We spent three nights in the Licuala Lodge during our five-week tour of QLD, NT and Sydney. As noted in many other reviews, the breakfasts are awesome, starting with a large bowl of the freshest fruit and followed by, if you have a big appetite, eggs any style with bacon, sausages, cooked tomato, hash brown potatoes, baked beans, toast and...

Sue and Mick were extremely welcoming hosts. Beautiful accommodation with verandas overlooking wonderful gardens, fringed by rainforest. Lovely outdoor pool, and the breakfasts here are a real treat (two winning formulae as far as our teenage boys were concerned). We used the great self-catering kitchen and dining room on one evening. Shops and restaurants are only 5 minutes' drive away....

Lovely property set in beautiful colorful tropical gardens. Rooms are very comfortable and very clean. Location is great and only a few km to Wongaling and mission each. Breakfast served on the veranda was tasty and plentiful. The home baked bread and cakes delicious. We will return to Licuala Lodge

Once more a wonderful stay at Licuala lodge. Mick & Sue are very relaxed hosts who make your stay as comfortable as possible. If you stay two nights they even throw in a lovely bottle of wine, cheers! A short drive drive to Mission Beach which is definitely picking up after the two cyclones.

Mick has the gardens looking spectacular. Its lovely just to wander around them. The pool was awesome--so private and just the right size and temperature. We saw lots of beautiful birds and butterflies. Cassowaries are known to visit too. Breakfast was delicious and there was certainly plenty! Our rooms were immaculate and provided comfort and space. Our stay at Licuala Lodge was one of the highlights of our trip to Australia.
