We have stayed all over Australia. We travelled from Perth through the centre and up to Cooktown down to the gold coast and back. I only say this to give you perspective. This is hands down the most friendly park we stayed in. The staff and owners at this place go out of their way to ensure you have a...

Absolutely recommend this place! We planned on staying 3 nights but extended it twice and ended up staying over a week. Just didn't want to leave! The resort has everything you need. A big clean kitchen, plenty of toilets which are always spotless and hot powerful showers. A tv room and games room. A lovely swimming pool with slide which...

Just spent a week at Beachcomber Coconut holiday park and thoroughly enjoyed it. The park is very clean and family friendly and safe for the kids to ride their bikes and scooters. It has a nice large pool with a water slide and is also a minutes walk to the beach which has a large stinger net (being Nth Qld)....

We just got back from our 3 night stay at Beachcomber Coconut Holiday Park and loved every minute of it. We loved it so much in fact we've already booked our next stay for 7 days! This park has everything you need; Cassowaries roaming the park (watch those little ones they love trying to get in your tent!); rec and...

We really enjoyed our stay at mission beach, you feel like your on you own secluded island. We stayed in a beach cabin, which are older, but comfortable and everything we needed for the night, with beautiful beach views! The staff are really friendly, the receptionist Heather even came round and picked us up in the buggy because there was...

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are always delighted to share the cassowary sightings in the park. We see them most days, but you have to be quick before they disappear back into the rain forest. I am thrilled that you had such a great experience and I will pass this on to Heather as...

I stayed here with my husband and 10 month old son whilst travelling down the East Coast in a motorhome. We had a powered site and it was quiet and well situated. The facilities were excellent, with good laundry facilities and shower rooms which included a baby bath. The swimming pool was excellent for us and our baby. The site...

A very well maintained site with lots of amenities that were very clean and well equipped. We had been in Northern Queensland for quite some time and hadn't seen the elusive Cassowary, despite trying very hard. We had only been in the park for a short time when a Cassowary with two chicks appeared by the BBQ area! My only...

Hello. I'm so pleased that we were able to "tick off your wish list" of seeing the endangered southern cassowary. The father and two chicks are regulars in the park, up to 3 times per day, along with a large solitary female. There are a number of local restaurants/bars locally but I believe they may have been having a well...
