I came across this on a day trip from Towsnville to Magentic Island. Hopped off the bus ($7 day pass - very good value) and had a look. The tour is well worth it as you have a knowledgeable guide. I think the extra to hold the koala is also worth it as it is on many peoples bucket list...

Of we went on the Sealink ferry for breakfast with a difference, bus to Bungalow Bay located in Horseshoe Bay on Magnetic Island . Paid for breakfast in advance and to hold a Koala. 0830 and we are shown to the breakfast area and had the best breakfast I have had in a long while, and there was plenty of...

Stayed here two nights. The rooms were clean, if a little hot as there is no air-conditioning. Toilet and shower room in my dorm could have been cleaned better. Has a cosy bar which gets quite lively. Has a pool, bean bags to laze on and free parking if you hire a car. Quiet too.

People are not exaggerating when they talk about the amount of animals around this place. There are wallabies, possums, parrots and goannas literally everywhere. If this sounds like heaven/hell this will determine whether you love/hate this place. The log cabins are clean and affordable, no a/c so can get very hot. Very dark at night so bring torch and mosquito...

I didn't stay here as my accommodation but I visited the koala park for one of the tours. I would recommend this place to anyone. The love and care for these animals is clear and that to me is very important. You are given lots of information about the animals and the tour guide was really funny. I held a...

The surroundings of the village is very relaxed and tranquil. Unfortunately when it comes time to use the shared amenities, it's very grose and dissapointing. Mouldy and extremely unclean showers. And stinky toilets.

This hostel was one big disappointment. It's advertised as a 'koala village', now I'm not expecting to be living with a bunch of koalas for the entire stay, but the only way to see one during your stay is to pay extra: not advertised. Also, the 'breakfast with koalas' is just another scam. Although it isn't stated on any advertisement...

We Discovered this place while we were touring the island on scooters and booked for the following day for "Breakfast with the Koalas " We paid $32 each and it wasn't until we were at the breakfast that we realized that we had to pay an extra $18 to hold the Koala bear The breakfast was nice and it was...

We didn't stay here, but we went to see the Koalas. This place is hands on. Yes, you get to hold a koala, which is awesome!! But you also get to hold other animals, including a baby alligator. Had a good laugh at my partner pinching his cheeks when holding the snake! Recommend going if you are going to magnetic...
