The beach house is an ideal place to stay if you're looking for a chilled atmosphere. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and the kitchen has everything you need in it. What made my stay so enjoyable was the hotel managers, Glen and his wife....More

Thanks Alisha, you are a great person, have fun in life, stay safe.
This place is in a great location with a short walk to feed the wallabies, head out for dinner or swim at Alma Bay. My partner and I stayed upstairs in the Florence Bay room with communal bathrooms and share kitchens downstairs. The room was...More

Read the wonderful reviews on here about Arcadia Guest House so we stayed in a private room for 2 nights. The room wasn't properly cleaned when we arrived... There were crumbs on the floor.
The room and hotel were very dated and old fashioned.

There is plenty of snorkeling very near to us including both an established snorkel trail at Geoffrey Bay and an excellent beach snorkeling spot at Alma Bay. Both of these are within easy walking distance from us (5-10 mins). The other great spot we recommend - Florence Bay is about a 20 minute 4 wheel drive away.
Access to the island is also very easy. There are 2 regular ferry services from Townsville to Magnetic Island - Sealink is a fast foot passenger service and Fantasea a slower car ferry. They both run regularly (every hour or so) between 5:30am and 11pm.
Hopefully that information helps, but please get in touch again if you have any further questions.
