We were lucky enough to stay in a Rainforest Banyan just after it had been renovated to a very high standard. A highlight was the stunning black stone bath right on the completely private and fully screened verandah. A small stream ran under the banyan, ensuring being lulled into a blissful night's sleep in the huge comfortable bed. A combination... More

We’d known about this for some years and had always wanted to stay. We weren’t disappointed. Set in the rainforest just short of the Daintree Village, the individual banyans hang in the forest. The stream gurgling away below our banyan, the sitting out verandah and well-appointed room were everything that we had been promised. The Julambaya (check) restaurant was great... More

Visiting the Daintree has been on our bucket list for years. The Daintree is a stunning pristine rainforest and the EcoLodge complements it beautifully. The grounds make you feel you are still in the heart of the forest with a few carefully tended paths to allow access to parts of the property. We stayed in one of the newly refurbished... More

Fantastic room, beautiful breakfast, GREAT massage. We had a beautiful private cabin way up high in the rainforest with a beautiful screened in porches. We were a 15 min drive to the ferry and Daintree. Staff was helpful. Beautiful water bottles with rainwater as gifts.

Amazing scenery in the oldest rain forest in the World. We even saw a cassowary close up with a young chick. It's a funny feeling driving right in to a rainforest. The food in the lodge was good, steak with salad followed by a fresh fruit platter with all kinds of exotic fruit.

Benny41, what a delight to have seen a cassowary and his or her chick! It is always quite amazing driving into the tunnel of the rainforest. We still really love crossing the Daintree River on the ferry, winding down the windows, turning off the air conditioning and enjoying the clean, pure, cool air of the forest as you head north... We stayed in the tree house area, in #9. We were traveling with our 13 year old grandson. We walked into the room and his first reaction was WOW. Yes, it is a wow sort of place. Very lovely. Our 3 nights at the EcoLodge were intended to be the highlight of our holiday and we were not disappointed. Although it is set close to the main road it genuinely feels like you are in the heart of the rainforest (just walk to the waterfall if you don't believe me). We were greeted enthusiastically on arrival by Mikki, who was friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable throughout our two-night stay. Our recently refurbished Canopy Bayan, at a slight remove from the main restaurant area, was beautifully decorated and well equipped, with a fourth-storey view of the rainforest and the constant sound of the creek below. Included breakfast was delicious, as was dinner... More
