Their advertising states there are lots of "in-room" facilities. Not true. No coffee-making facilities, no utensils, no in-room wifi, no fridge, no privacy. Had to share a tiny kettle and a fridge with 3 other rooms outdoor. The communal bathrooms had a grotty look about them. Aircon was old and noisy. The pool was murky and we didn't dare to...

I really enjoyed our stay here. It is not a luxurious place, but it was clean and neat, way better than some of the 4 star "hotels" in Cairns. The bathroom is not in the room, but it is shared with other guests, it was also clean and did not have to wait in line. The best, however, about this...

My wife and I stayed at the Daintree Wild BnB with two friends over the last week and we all agreed it was a unique experience that we would do again. We stayed in the Jabiru room which was well presented and contained one king size bed and two singles. Quick note to those intending on staying, whilst you do...

This B & B is such a cool place. A zoo. The owners are lovely. It is a simple B&B, basic breakfast with homemade jam and fresh squeezed juices. The rooms are lovely and like a true B&B the toilet is shared. The pool is amazing, especially on a hot day - so cool we needed to warm up when...

This was an amazing place to stay, a very different experience that the usual holiday accommodation and a great learning experience for the kids. You can visit the Zoo as much as you want including out of normal opening hours which opens up a wealth of possibilities. My kids loved to follow the zookeepers round right after breakfast and before...

Well worth it, to sleep at a zoo! Laid back hosts with a classic Aussie sense of humour and an understated knowledge of all their animals and keep the basic but spacious and clean accommodation in good condition. Simple generous breakfasts - and barbecue dinner on request - served in the entrance foyer of the zoo, but the highlight is...

We were very much looking forward to our stay at Daintree Wild Bed and Breakfast. Unfortunately, my father was admitted to emergency care and was unable to travel to Cairns. We contacted Gil more than 48 hours before our stay to ask about the possibility for an alternative. I asked if a refund were at all possible as we could...

We had an en-suit which was very large and beautifully finished. Our hosts,Gil and Donna were great people and made sure we were well looked after. The Zoo side of the business was great to walk round and during the four days we were there we visited every day. Our hosts had great knowledge on all the birds and animals and...

More like a hotel/motel that offers breakfast (and dinner for that matter) than a typical B and B but it was an excellent choice for us. Our room was huge as was the bathroom. A little table and chairs were outside on the balcony overlooking the zoo. We were taken along for crocodile feeding time; that made our stay more...

My daughter chose this place and what a fantastic surprise to arrive to this hotel-zoo. The animals are all rescue and the lady owner told me they started from scratch. I am passionate about animals and if you are too, experience this lovely place. We had a room, very big , with tv and a small patio with chairs to...
